In this video, we delve into the remarkable life of Jahangir Khan, a squash champion who overcame numerous challenges to become one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
Born with health issues, including a hernia and hearing problems, Jahangir's journey began with a strong support system, especially from his mother, who believed in his potential.
At just eight years old, he started speaking and was introduced to the sport through his father, who provided him with his first racket and ball. With the Navy’s support, his father laid the groundwork for Jahangir’s career by establishing the Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Club. Jahangir's dedication to squash blossomed early on; he became the under-19 junior champion of Pakistan at fourteen and made his mark internationally by playing in the World Junior finals in Sweden and England.
His relentless pursuit of excellence led him to England for professional training, which shaped his skills further. Tragedy struck when Jahangir lost his elder brother, Torsam Khan, who had been both a mentor and a source of inspiration. Determined to honor his brother’s memory, Jahangir dedicated himself to rigorous training, sacrificing everything to fulfill Torsam's dream of seeing him succeed.
From 1981 to 1986, Jahangir dominated the squash world with an astounding unbeaten streak of 555 matches. His incredible achievements, including winning the World Amateur Championship and defeating legendary players like Geoff Hunt, solidified his status as a sports icon.
Join us as we explore the highs and lows of Jahangir Khan's journey, his unwavering passion for squash, and the challenges faced by athletes in a sport that often lacks adequate support.

Unfortunately, this University of Squash i.e. Jahangir Khan couldn't produce a single another Jahangir Khan. So unfortunate!
