- These stones are listed as a 6.5-7 on the Mohs hardness scale, but they certainly didn't tumble that way. I show each step through the process this time so that you can see just how odd these stones are.
I got some advice from Kelly on this tumble. You can find why here:

I also got some advice from Clark. You can find more info on him at:

The music in this video was graciously provided by Cristopher Dragone. You can find his amazing album at:

beautiful creations. when Rosie does the burnishing stage per tumbler-she/we do just h2o and nothing else-run it +days and my goodness - experiments is/are awesome.
Gotta learn some how!
Aw Ken, just love this type of finish though. Enjoyed the process and end result type video. See you again soon!!
I look forward to it!
Wow that is a bummer ! I appreciate your honesty on this. I hope to remember to stay away from coquina jasper. My last batch of banded iron that I collected from a new location did pretty much the same thing. The batch I did months ago turned out awesome. Who knows ? Thanks for sharing😊
That's odd with the banded iron, but at least you were able to get one good batch.
Nice work. Subscribed.
Thank you and thank you!
I got some of this stuff, labeled as "script jasper" and had the exact same result you're getting. So frustrating to think you're getting jasper and end up with some super soft stone that is really hard to polish.
Exactly! It doesn't help that the Mohs hardness is listed in the jasper range.
WOW😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Thanks!
Is this the same as calligraphy stone or elephant Jasper?
I believe they are similar, but not the same.
