They both are known for their active nature and their positive aura. They both make a very loyal companion dog, who are known for their love towards the loved ones.

The Beagle can grow up to 13-16 inches, which is 33-40 centimetres and weigh up to 20-25 pounds, which is 9-11 kilograms whereas the Labrador can grow up to 22.5-24.5 inches, which is 57-62 centimetres and weigh up to 65-80 pounds, which is 29.5-36 kilograms. The Beagle average lifespan ranges from to 10 to14 years and the Labrador ranges from 12 to 15 years. The average price for a Beagle puppy will be somewhere around 500-1000 dollars. Whereas the average price for a Labrador puppy will be somewhere around 800-1200 dollars. If you are looking for a specific look or a puppy with the highest quality and even show the quality you can budget anywhere between 2000 and 2500 dollars.

Not trying to be a jerk or anyting. But how would you compare a Hound to a Retriever? You're comparing a Beagle to a Labrador Retriever they're not even in the same ballpark. They both may be very fine dogs but as a comparison to each other, I just don't understand how you guys come up with these comparisons.

Not trying to insulting anyone, but all dogs will be smart and well behaved if they were trained well - so _its all depends on the owner's leadership._
My Beagle is potty trained since 7 weeks old, never destroyed anything in my house - not even her fragile potty pad, learned and always obeying every commands like : sit, stay, leave it, hands, snout, high five, turn around, etc since 10 weeks old while my neighbor's Labs went to the K-9 training because she even doesn't potty trained on 12 months old and always chewing everything - this is another proof that owner is the most responsible for their dog's what so called _smart and obidience._
FYI both breeds used as a sniffer on the Airport, trained to using a phone to call 911 for owner's life saving (even one of the Beagle trained to sniff human's blood glucose level on the tip of the nose to alert the owner for his insulin injection), used as a therapy dog, and also used as a non-reactive dog by many dog's trainers.
