Just casually watching TV and a Lloyds Bank advert comes on. I pay no attention to it, like I do with all adverts. But... this song made me pay attention. I rewinded and saw the subtitles said: (You're Not Alone). I looked it up on google and found this. I can honestly say that 5 minutes of my time was worth it for this song. The vocals fit in so well with the music. It's so emotional which makes the song so beautiful to listen to. I did some research and found out that this song was made for the Lloyds Bank advert. The original is from 1996 and I can't believe a song made in 1996 has been taken and made into a more update version which sounds like this. It's absolutely beautiful and so heart-warming. I hope this song gets more fame. It deserves it. Also, before I go Astraea, your voice is perfect for this type of song. It's beautiful. I'm just so glad that I found this song.

Not a sympathy story in any way but I lost my mother and sister this year within a few days of each other, this is my first Christmas without them and this song makes me cry and think of them both, but in a nice way. Astraea, this track is one of my top favourites and holds great memories, your version is absolutely superb! As soon as I heard it on the Lloyd's TV advert last year, I loved it, just as much as the original by Olive. Absolutely beautiful, stunning and ....... how many more superlatives can I use!?! Oh....... and the 93 people that didn't like it ....it makes you wonder where they would fit in humanity.....

During this time, he taught Mick Jagger, who did a Contract Law module at LSE when he was there for one year in the early 1960s before dropping out. He then went on to become a founding teacher at the Law School at the University of Hong Kong, and has a scholarship there named after him - the Bernard Downey Scholarship. He was subsequently appointed as a Hong Kong District Judge in 1980, and served in that role until his retirement in 1994. He then served as a part-time immigration judge in England and Wales until the Lord Chancellor decided that he should retire completely in 2008 - he just _had_ to be doing something. Sadly, his health deteriorated significantly in December 2014, and even more so in 2015. He had vascular dementia, and suffered from extreme confusion (although he still recognised people he knew) and problems with his balance. When I last saw him in August 2016, he didn't look well at all, was very confused (he was a bit uncertain of where he was, who'd come to visit him [although he eventually recognised me] or how long I would be there for) and had lost every last bit of his independence. He died peacefully at home two months later, at the age of 82. I was 18 at the time of his death, and my Dad (his eldest son) was 52. His funeral took place the day before the U.S. Presidential Election that resulted in the election of Donald Trump.

I have to admit that it makes me sad,and I still find Olive's original version from 1997 darkly depressing. But that's because I was going through a bad chapter personally and someone I knew lost their life at 23 as a victim of domestic violence at the time that was out.

As a teenager in the 90s I was so in love with Olives song, and this song means a lot to me because its part of my childhood. I thought no one could ever do a better version. Boy was I wrong! Beautiful song. I heard it on the Lloyds Advert and it stuck with me for a while. It just stood out. Couldn't find it until, funnily enough, my father actually said "Hey, check out this song" and told me the name of it. I then mentioned I'd been looking for it for a while since I heard it on the advert and he laughed. Haha! Anyway, amazing song. Absolutely beautiful. This is the best cover version of any song I’ve heard before. It’s simple, classy, controlled and better than the original in terms on vocals and should be in the charts. It reminds me of my sons mother who passed away. I imagine her sat there in heaven saying these words to me to reassure me I’m doing well with our son and that one day I’ll see her again and that she’s watching over us until then. As a teenager in the 90s I was so in love with Olives song, and this song means a lot to me because its part of my childhood. I thought no one could ever do a better version. Boy was I wrong! This has absolutely blown me away. My mum is also crazy about it after watching the advert. I must have listened to it 50 times and I only came across it yesterday on TH-cam. Beautiful voice beautiful girl. Love it

Beautiful song. I heard it on the Lloyds Advert and it stuck with me for a while. It just stood out. Couldn't find it until, funnily enough, my father actually said "Hey, check out this song" and told me the name of it. This is the best cover version of any song I’ve heard before. It’s simple, classy, controlled and better than the original in terms on vocals and should be in the charts. It reminds me of my sons mother who passed away. I imagine her sat there in heaven saying these words to me to reassure me I’m doing well with our son and that one day I’ll see her again and that she’s watching over us until then. She looked very much like you too. It sends chills through my body.
