I count on single stems but I do plant a small bed of branching. They have saved me when I have planted a single stem succession later than I should have. Thanks for all of the great tips! I took notes and will follow them with my planting this week. The pinching time and method will really help the production.
You two are so full of absolutely great, detailed info about growing (for home gardeners or commercial!). I especially love your No Postage fees when purchasing seeds!!!!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback, Susan! 💚 So happy to hear you are finding our episodes informative 😊 Hope you are planting lots of seeds for a garden full of flowers! Have a wonderful day, and thanks again for watching 🤗
Great information ladies. This is going to be my first year farming flowers. I live in the Pacific Northwest, near Mt Hood. I'm only going to be supplying one florist in my area, but I'm sure he and his mother ( Nancy's Floral ) get most all the customers in our area with "Floral Desires" 😊 I asked the son, " If you could have me grow one type of flower, what would it be?" Well, I'm sure I don't have to tell you 😊 I just now decided I was going to basically grow nothing but sunflowers, other than a handful floral herbs, like rosemary and thyme, and a couple favorite zinnias. Any way, your video came perfectly timed after I made my decision. My massive amount of choices will be made less grueling after watching your video. I knew about controlling the height and bloom size with spacing, singles really are the best for farming. But I love birds, so I'm going with the following branches: Red Velvet Queens for our Yellow Finches, Strawberry Blonde, Procut Red Lemon and "Frilly" and a mesmerizing compact called " Sparky". I'm going to be 56 and I don't think I've ever been so eager and excited about taking something on like this before. I feel like a kid in a candy shop, with all these flowers or better yet, it's like an all you can eat buffet and food is falling off my plate before I can make my way to the table LOL Thank you again Lane and Lisa and thanks for listening/reading my excited ramblings..... Perfect timing, Sam! Wishing you lots of beautiful sunflowers in your garden this year 🌻☺🌻 Thanks so much for watching, and have a wonderful weekend! 🤗
Hello! It would be interesting to do a side-by-side comparison to see if there is a difference. We have not noticed anything substantial, but I would love to conduct an experiment at some point! Thanks so much for watching, and have a fantastic weekend! 💚🌻💚

Thank you for this video!! Would you be able to give any details on how you would recommend feeding sunflowers? Thank you so much!!
I've been wondering about these. I bought some and grew a couple. I wasn't sure on spacing. Def watching!

Q? Does the harvest date shorten from spacing tightly?
