Megan - it is so awesome to learn from you - not only about gardening (which is what brought me to your FB page) but the way you have been sharing your faith and your heart. As I’m also in central Arkansas, I had hoped I’d run into you at a garden event, but our paths never crossed. I’m happy for you and Joey for your new homestead and look forward to learning even more from you in 2025. 💗 As for what’s new in my garden, I have been building and filling raised garden beds (24”) for the last 3 or 4 months. I finished today with the leaves, grass, aged horse manure and compost. Now to add some nutrients and let it “cook” for a few months until planting time. I am also going to experiment with the winter sewing (milk jugs) for seeds starting. As far as “kicking some thing to the curb” - - that would be my front lawn - literally. I removed the grass (that didn’t grow well anyone) and replaced it with edible ornamental plants (for “just in case”). I live in town, but I feel my “itty bitty farm in the city” is right on track. My chickens (and a bunny) are all set up in a coop with a 16-foot run, my garden is all set up, and I’ll be working on a small greenhouse next. My life is blessed!
I'm so happy your post came across my feed on FB several months back. I'll never forget it. 😂 It's the one Joey asked if he had his eye lashes. 😆 No matter how young/old we can always learn new things. It's all about growing wherever you're planted. Love how you give God all the glory. Keep planting those mustard seeds and God will continue watering them. Blessings to you and your family for the coming new year. 🎉
I'm so excited for you!! I love how you share your blessings and I'm just so dang happy you get to continue sowing mustard seeds and seeds of faith. You are reaching so many people with this ministry Jesus has blessed you with. It's amazing to just kick back and watch you succeed and give even more back!!
I bought some containers for seed storage on black Friday. I am looking forward to getting my seeds organized in the new year. I love seeing Joey on your videos. I wish my husband was as helpful and involved as yours. Happy holidays!
I have gardened for a few years but always with garden store plants. Thanks to all of your Facebook videos, I did everything from seed this previous year and plan to every year going forward. So much appreciation for your videos. Congrats on your move!
I love how you're taking us on your journey. I plan to tune in and learn all I can! We have plans to buy land in the next year and seeing your process will really help us prepare. Until then I will continue to make due with the little garden we have in our front yard. Congratulations on your new homestead! Can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll do!!
You have taught me so much in the short time since I found you on Facebook. My little yard looked so much better this year. I loce saving seeds now that you taught me how! Much respect.
Thank you so much for all of your help and advice! I have learned so much from you! I look forward to watching you grow at your new homestead…your own land and forever home! I am fairly new to growing on my homestead and trying to grow more of a variety of food! Learning to gage your growing season and how to grow where you live is so important for success!! Looking forward to what God brings this year!!
We are learning here too, it's been 3 years, and still not black gold. Thanks for being a light and teacher to us all. I have to sort my seeds too, will be working that out this week too. Thanks for the planning tools, I am lacking in the planning dept.
I have been trying to learn all I can from you. My goal is grow as much food as I can for my my family. I am also learning to can and preserve food in different ways. I am fairly new to gardening. Thank you for all you do.
We are working on our soil too! It’s been really fun watching it go from red Oklahoma clay to a more brown color! We still have work to do, but I’m loving learning so much!
Right lol! No matter how much I tell my self I’m gunna be organized this will happen every time. I’m glad I noticed what they were shoved in some beans 😂
I'm afraid that will be me once I get started, I want my neighbors to be able to come grab what they need when they need it once I get things going after this season!
I am looking forward to a garden in 2025. It's been years due to unfortunate circumstances that I have not had a garden. I am starting with nothing and working towards the goal of something. Stay blessed and enjoy your adventure on your new homestead property.
This is all so relatable lol. My husband finds paper towels with seeds in them randomly😂. I started writing on them with a marker before saving them because I couldn't remember what they were when going to put them up lol
what garden zone are you. I am 5b so gardening time is fairly short but still fun. Love your love of so many things ....gardening, life, God , sharing. Happy new year
I follow on FB. I love how you share everything. I just started this year and am trying to get it together. 🤣🤣 Thank you for all of your help. I appreciate you love.
I'm new to gardening. I'm moving to SC in March, and I plan to have a garden. Free seeds would help a lot. I'm ordering your info so I can learn more . Thank you for all your information.
My cousin and I had a garden together for 15 years, 2500 square feet at y grandparents' house. I am bringing it home this year. I would love to have your seeds that you are not using. God bless your faith!
I'm actually fairly new to gardening. This will be my 1st full growing season so instead of purging my goal is to get things growing while using companion planting and other useful methods like the three sisters to help me along the way!
I’m starting completely over because I’m no longer living on the property I spent five years building up. This year I’m starting small. Basically container garden because I’m in a city where there are restrictions on what I can grow and what I can have in the ground.
Being a beginner gardener I have started experimenting with growing from seeds using grow lights in an old fish tank. I just can’t seem to get stop fungus gnats with indoor plants. I don’t have a lot of southern facing space so I use pots to grow in. I wonder if growing in pots is why my produce never matures to the right size. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge….for free!!!
What do you do with the lettuce and cabbage to store them? We live on land that has many streams on ground and under ground which makes our house damp. I do can my tomatoes, green beans, and jalapeños. Can't keep cucumbers and yellow squash due to it being eaten so quickly as soon as it's picked. Thank you.

New veggie gardener here! I absolutely love your videos! They've been very helpful in my planning.
I relate to the seed storage and paper towels full of seeds so much! I have such great intentions!! Hahaha
Right lol! No matter how much I tell my self I’m gunna be organized this will happen every time. I’m glad I noticed what they were shoved in some beans 😂

Thanks for all your videos, you have encouraged me to try and start saving my seeds, I will find out in spring if it was successful or not.
Try planting your squash in June. I keep them covered until the squash bugs are dying off for the year. Which is mid-July here in Ohio.
This is all so relatable lol. My husband finds paper towels with seeds in them randomly😂. I started writing on them with a marker before saving them because I couldn't remember what they were when going to put them up lol

I am so excited to join your TH-cam page. I loved your soap, and most importantly you LOVE JESUS!

Hi Megan & Joey 👋🏻
I’m starting completely over because I’m no longer living on the property I spent five years building up.
This year I’m starting small. Basically container garden because I’m in a city where there are restrictions on what I can grow and what I can have in the ground.
Being a beginner gardener I have started experimenting with growing from seeds using grow lights in an old fish tank.

I need to do this!
