Despite being a brass player, I’ve been practicing percussion a lot, and I think I’m able to play jig 2, but I don’t have tenors to do it on, I’ve used my cousins practice pad but I barely go over there.
You can use your imagination when it comes to a practice pad for tenors. When I was in 8th grade I cut circles in the dimension of the rims with paper and taped it to a table or any hard surface just to practice.
Our Drumline is super young. Our snare player has never played until this year. And he learned 5 cadences, a parade song, a field show, and hot to go. Im proud of all the work we’ve accomplished. But yes it could be way better than it is now.
For jig 2, nice save and good idea not doing the solo whilst moving, and i may be wrong but the snare is playing the wrong part for jig 2, do you guys hqave an actual drum tech or teacher?

@race2o739 we don’t have either. I’ve taught them everything and had to simplify the snare part for him.

@@Ynchris19 I play it when I’m not moving
If youre gonna play jig 2 at least learn the good part lol
@@romanwilliams4057 we do it’s just hard to march with different time signatures
@@CharlieMorse-c7f isn't the tenor solo in the same time as the rest of it?
@@romanwilliams4057 it starts in 4/4 and goes to 5/4 and a bunch of random ones.
@CharlieMorse-c7f is there a different way to march in 5/4? I think you're talking about tempo changes, and there aren't any (that I know of) in jig 2
@@romanwilliams4057 I’m not sure, I never thought about marching it down to our field, I’ll practice it though
