Ive been rear ended twice. The reason why I used a strobing brake light, is so the driver behind me knows Im braking. LEDs are also bright too, so it helps. I had a VA state trooper pull up beside me and tell me, "Your tail lights are annoying, but in hindsight it made me pay attention to you as opposed to being distracted." Anything I can do to avoid being rear ended due to someone on their phone behind me, Im willing to try. Idc how annoying or "rice" it may be.

I like the idea, but it would be nice if they could be managed based on speed. If you're emergency stopping on the highway, it's great for safety. If you're in stop and go traffic, it gets super annoying.
Thats what i was thinking too, like if ur just braking before a corner or slow traffic as u said, the flashing shouldn't activate, it needs to only activate in forceful applies of the brakes in panic situations, otherwise i like them
Yeah that would be good, im sure its possible to make another brake switch that would trigger that somehow.
this. my issue is that we mostly have a lot of stop and go traffic here at like maybe 20mph max and quite a few people have these, and while I dont tailgate these are super obnoxious in general
on the highway or even doing like 40-50mph, meh
When I saw an ambulance using them a few years back, and quickly it grabbed my attention, I immediately know it was effective and the industry would start adopting it.

OK drive around in a dense populated area and see who's car stands out when hitting their brake lights. I'm not a fan of it but I will tell you this I notice those cars well before I pull up behind them so I definitely could see it helping a distracted driver from rear ending you. Like it or hate it there's no arguing you notice the car well before you pull up behind it

They're not against the law so you can use Them I have these in my Mustang GT haven't been pulled over yet
Some new cars are coming out with the stropb lights. Emergency vehicles have them as well just for SST.
The alternating strobing of that would get you pulled over in a heartbeat in my area. Kind of cool though. Definitely would draw attention.
It's a safety feature, I think they would have a hard time trying to make a ticket stick in court. Brighter the better!

i use non strobing ones for my left n right brakes but a strobing one for my 3rd one middle brake light. no way ppls not notice im braking.
Do you have one strobing globe or multiple for your 3rd brake light? I was thinking about get a strobing for my 3rd brake but I think my car uses 3 tiny W5W bulbs (top of car boot on hatch) I haven't been able to pop the cover off or remove the inside boot paneling to check yet

The brightness is awsome but that flashing effect is honestly confusing, imagine following the car and every time you slightly hit your brakes there's a ducking flash festival hitting you eyes...

@@PoorManMods i honestly believe it overdoes that, if it flashed only during high deceleration it would be PERFECT, for real, but like this theres no point, it could get distracting even for the slightest brake touch, and its not even like its always flashing, imagine all the cars on the highway just randomly flashing at you with their tail lights
I mean thats exactly what happens during rush hour on the highway around here, its just red flashing lol
Since the bulbs are wired in series, one is acting like a resistor for the other, which is why you're probably getting that winking thing. I like it, though, very noticeable. I use Tritons from VLEDs and have nothing but good things to say about them. Due to the design of the MKIII bulb holders, they probably wouldn't fit, but they're worth a look if you think you can fabricate a bracket to hold them on.

I have an 03 accord and I purchased a set of 7443 for my breaks that flash at the speed of cop strobes..walmart has them listed under flashing brake light's..they are awesome you should try them out I'm sure you will like them

i have strobe high beams that are RGB and leds on every other exterior bulb,

i have some 3 flash before solid version on my debadged is300 [supposed to be legal] and some know it all trooper pulled me over & claimed strobing taillights are illegal , only red flashing lights are supposed to be for emergency vehicles blah blah blah & gave me a $30 non moving citation 🤦🏻♂️he also said he could've got me for my aftermarket exhaust 🤦🏻♂️i told him it's stock and he doesn't know what he's talking about. He gave me a lil bitch face and said i can smell the fuel from here, mind you , we were on the fckn highway 🤦🏻♂️. imma try to dispute it

The supra might be in a series circuit causing the lights to have a voltage delays and making it look like they are programmed to flash in pattern.

i got LED strobe brake lights for $24 2 bulbs. they flash three times and are bright. Went for a joy drive today and noticed many drivers keep a larger distance. Some people did ride my bumper, but then they probably drive like that and are usually the ones to rear end someone because they didn't have a safe following distance. I don't care much about the person behind me as they should be operating their vehicle and following/ keeping a safe distance. we all have to ensure our own safety and the safety of others on the road. Just trying to get to point A to B. I would highly recommend getting the LED strobe lights. Bought my car brand new 14 years ago, and did the LED upgrade two nights ago. My old whip has upgrades 😂. Also, no one wants to carjack or steal my whip which is additional peace of mind.

After changing to LED brake lights, my car no longer have low intensity and high intensity brake lights. Which means when the headlights are on, the brake light will also be on at high intensity. When I stepped on the brake, only the third light will turn on while other 2 LED stays at the same brightness. Any idea how to solve this?

WOW.. These are great. The reason we need these on motorcycles because people love to TXT and put on make-up. This grabs anyones attention. If you have everknow anyone to get blasted at 30 MPH on a bike from the back......it's not a FUN ride!
3:36 - The out of phase flashing would be the downside for me.
When one side alternates, and the other flashes together it looks odd.
Also, there is the possibility that both lamps in each side would flash in phase, but would alternate from one side of the car to the other.
The real purpose is to get drivers to notice u r STOPPING!
Why not just use blink brake module for any bulbs?

I bought some brishine bulbs. They are for a 2018 Malibu we are running into a problem with the brake light signal light and running light is the same bulb 7443 when you install these the the running light continues to blink even with the resistors installed . Any help would be greatly appreciated can I switch to these bulbs would they solve that problem
Did you got an answer to that issue...i got a ford focus se 2013 and its doing that too....the led i bought got resistors on them and after i use the brake they blink and then stay solid if i let go of the brake they flicker in a low output but only if my daytime running lights are on. Since my car uses the brake light as daytime that might be a issue.

I’m a bit concerned. Blinkers just will not work with LED lights that use the same LED’s for both brake and parking. But I still want to have bright Led 1157’s but if blinkers don’t work what do we do?
I haven't seen these on any passenger vehicles, but I have seen them on larger stuff, such as trash trucks. The X factor with these bulbs will be DOT regulations from state to state, particularly ones that enforce yearly safety inspections. We have all kinds of regulations here in Pennsylvania, and I'd probably end up calling the state to see if I could legally sticker a vehicle with these installed. It's not a bad concept, though, considering the amount of careless idiots plaguing our highways.

My understanding is that they are legal (although cops may try to say otherwise) because they don't stove continually. They flash and then are solid.

This is exactly the problem I found with all of the bright bulbs! Garbage! I have an inline strobe unit that has something like 5 fast, 3 slow, then steady.
I have photosensitivity, due to a Brain tumor.... This one guy had his blinking pattern = to strobe lights..
I almost had a seizure!
You want them to blink, that's fine... Just please don't turn them into strobe lights! I believe that is pretty reasonable...

You don't need to reset the battery, each bulb receives power at a different speed...
