the "pow" heavy did at the end was a taunt kill that deals 450 damage, pyro has a tauntkill on his stock shotgun that has him charge up his fireball and releases it onto an enemy in range and scout has a tauntkill on the atomizer and the sandman that is the slowest in the game

Another thing that might interest you, you mentioned a team fortress arcade game being interesting, Taito actually did have the license to release valve's games as arcade games!
While tf2 specifically never got released, when Hl2: Survivor, the half-life 2 + hl2: deathmatch port got released (early 2006, only in jp markets) it featured 2 new modes beyond singleplayer and multiplayer. One of them was a mission mode, which was just levels from the campaign, shortened down and timed with different objectives like destroying combine outposts or killing however many zombies, but it also featured a red vs blue gamemode with a "Ranger, Soldier, Sniper, Engineer, and Medic" class ability pool.
From what is known about the development of the game, it seems like alot of the concepts and code of this gamemode and 5 classes comes from a 2004 test build of tf2, after hl2 was launched, but before valve expiremented with an again, scrapped humans vs aliens concept for the game.
Sadly, Taito shut down the networking features for hl2: survivor and their left 4 dead port, but thankfully both games have been ported to pc.
Oh, and also, if you wanna see what a true retro-style tf2 arcade game would look like, Eric Ruth's "Team Fortress: Arcade" is a really charming co-op beat-em-up styled demake of tf2s gameplay loop and is worth it for the sprite art alone.

Yes! Please react to POOTIS ENGAGE and POOTIS ENGAGE EXTREME . They are beyond amazing and the animationstyle has inspired so many other creators of tf2, even this video! Note the black bars that show up with characters able to be beyond/infront of them at the same time. Pootis Engage started it and inspired alot of it.
