The thing about the Pyro is that despite their apparent *MASSIVE* disconnect from reality, they might actually understand exactly what is happening, but view setting everything on fire as an improvement to the world. This can be seen in the comics (the main storyline ones), where after losing their mercenary job (long story involving a war over gravel between to idiot billionaire brothers, a super buff Australian billionaire, a scheming third brother and his army of money powered robots, and a very old billionaire woman manipulating everything), became CEO of a technology firm, and gave the company record profits. When we see the board of directors meeting from the Pyro's eyes, everything is dull, grey, and boxy... until the building out the far window starts emitting swirling rainbows. Why? Because the other mercenaries set it on fire trying to get Pyro's attention and get them back into their preferred line of work. Another moment when in Siberia, Pyro has an encounter with Smolders the bear (there universe version of Smoky the Bear), and when Smolders says that fire is no one's friend, we can see Pyro's world go from that technicolor dream land, to a flaming hell scape.
Couple things that I think are neat about this game: That censored line in "Meet the Demoman"? We've since found out what he actually says. He says, "They got more fucking sea monsters in the great Loch Ness than they got the likes of me..." My favorite theory as to why this line is censored is as follows: Since the Loch Ness Monster is very much a real creature in the TF2 universe, the British government didn't want people to know about it, so they censored Demo's entire sentence, using his f-bomb as an excuse to do so. Soldier was _never_ actually in the army, but not for a lack of trying. He *DESPERATELY* wanted to fight in WW2, but was rejected by _every single branch_ of the US Military for being an actual raving _lunatic._ Undeterred, he taught himself to wield and fire a number of weapons (most notably rocket launchers and shotguns), bought his own plane ticket to Poland, and started slaughtering Nazis (or at least, people he _thought_ were Nazis). He didn't stop until _1949,_ when someone from the States finally got through to him and made him realize the war was over. And that "1-1-1, Uh...1" thing in "Meet the Spy"? That's a reference to an urban legend about Cold War-era US nuclear missiles; more specifically, the launch codes _to_ those missiles. The story goes that, for a majority of the Cold War, the launch codes for all of the US Army's nuclear arms was "0-0-0-0-0." Just a string of zeroes. So, in theory, all one would've had to do to sabotage America's _entire nuclear arsenal_ would be to just go up to one of the computers and type in a bunch of zeroes.
So not only can soldier Rocket jump but in the games lore Stairs werent invented for a long time and the only way to get up high was to rocket jump. Stairs are a new thing after the president accidentally blew his legs off with a early rocket jump and invented stairs which he couldnt use because he was now in a wheel chair..
Hmm, you might enjoy reacting to LazyPurple's TF2 series called "How it FEELS to play" series. It has great discussion, funny jokes, great editing, and great animation that constantly improves as the series goes on! He talks about the TF2 classes and their gameplay. The remaining video, How it FEELS to play Medic, isnt out yet, but I feel like its coming soon.
The reason Soldier seems a bit dumb is because he drinks the canonically lead filled water of the town of Tuefort, where the events of the game take place. He's literally had his IQ lowered from the water.
If you ever play TF2, never ever kill a sandwich holding heavy or everybody will put a bounty on your back! Never kill the "friendlies! (Yes, this is a real warning, since we care about them and they habits of giving away free sandwiches)
From all the lore they have, I have to say top 3 most depressed character (not the player who main them) has to be demoman, heavy and sniper Demoman is black and Scottish in USA at the 60's, got sent to orphanage by his parents to "see the potential of the baby" and got back home after he blown up the orphanage, lost an eye by a demonic book at 7, constantly got scolded by his mom "being lazy" although he earned 7 digital with only 3 job AND finally, he got a friend who is blue soldier but the friendship got ruined by administrator (the sound announced in game thingy) intensionally Bro's alcoholism even make him finally have depth perception because bro drink so much he sees double 💀 We don't mention that in the comic bro makes his bone marrow produce alcohol instead of blood after having no alcohol consumption and blood got sucked out by robots, bro even poisoned the fucking robot 🗿
Btw some fun fact, no one knows what is pyro. Even in the voice line of the others, they called pyro by ALL the pronouns (he/she/it) From the TF2 wiki, in meet the spy, there is two alert on the signal board under "RED PYRO" called "IS A MAN" and "IS A WOMAN" and a separate one called"IS A ROBOT"
Idk if im wrong about this, but if I remember, it was said that TF2 is the very first game to treat Rocket Jumping as a feature, while in previous games its just a bug or an extra.
Hope you react to more of Valve’s IPs. Each of their IPs, Half Life, Portal and this, TF2 have varying themes going for it, More Serious Ones such as Half Life, More Funnier but still somewhat series, Portal and the craziness known as Tf2, Valve knows how to cook interesting Lore. Even their newest game they are still developing, which is in Alpha, Deadlock, already has Interesting Lore behind it.
Don’t know if this was commented yet but the red spy is canonically blue scouts biological father, also he called scouts mom “My little cauliflower” when he picked up the photo. Also scout was named Jeremy after jerma because they looked and sounded similar.
The game is very much relevant today. Its one of the better times to start with it as well now that the years long bot crisis has been resolved (for now at least). Youll find a very actively community to play with and help you along with over a decade of content to learn and laugh at.
Not so rare fun facts! Heavy has a PHD in Russian Literature. Demoman's eye was haunted by a wizard and becomes a boss every Halloween Soldier used to be roommates with said Wizard Sniper is an Australian but was raised in New Zealand after Australia sank and became Atlantis Every time scout dies, there's a chance of a dove flying out Pyro is surprisingly a very good businessman, becoming a CEO in a company while the team broke up in the comics. Engineer has (please correct me if I'm wrong) 11 PHDs. The meet the team series was an in-universe marketing stunt to make the people of Tuefort like them more. Spy can kill someone with his feet.
Nah, sniper is New Zealander but he got adopted by Australian couple after his born parents sent him out to space in a rocket and the rocket landed on Australia New Zealand is the one got sinked into the ocean in TF2 universe because one scientist said the earth will be gone Also, sniper's blood parents are dicks
9:22 to be fair, most of them are a little bit insane. The only ones that i think are 100% sane are Spy, Sniper, and maybe Heavy *Edit:* also, as a nod to the Meet the Medic video, when you kill a Scout in-game there's a chance a dove will fly out of his body
Fun Facts of Tf2 Engineer has 11+ Degrees from Harvard MIT Texas A&M Heavy Has 10 PHds in Russian Literature and folktales Soldier went to Germany to kill Nazis Problem it was 1965 30 years after WW2 ended so he's wanted by interpol for Killing people in both Eastern USSR AND WESTERN GERMANY Sniper is from New Zealand Scout Trained every day to be the fastest so he would be the first to fight Medic Sold the souls of the team for Satan's Pen Pyro is a Ceo of a company and he just showed up one day and burned down everything Demoman is 100% Alcohol if he drinks anything non alcoholic it will feel like poison to him Spy is Scouts father
Pyro has never been confirmed as male or female, valve kinda played along with decieving players by putting random stuff in the game to suggest it and keep people guessing, like a pink bag in pyro's locker for example, but its entirely up to the players to decide for themselves(and most see pyro as a male for many reasons). Even the scout calls pyro a he in the trailer.
“I wonder if this is still relevant to this day” 😂 buddy you have no idea! TF2 is like the eternal flame from which all new class/hero team shooters draw their power. If TF2 dies, it’ll be one of the darkest days in gaming history.
Pyro is a guy but someone thought that since in French version he has a female voice actor that would mean pyro is a she. But with logic that flimsy, every cartoon/anime prepubescent boy voice acted by a woman would make them girls. Naruto, Ash Ketchum, Edward Elric, Bart Simpson, Kevin (ed, edd n eddy)

If no one has told ya the red spy is canonically the red scouts dad
The reason Soldier seems a bit dumb is because he drinks the canonically lead filled water of the town of Tuefort, where the events of the game take place. He's literally had his IQ lowered from the water.
If you ever play TF2, never ever kill a sandwich holding heavy or everybody will put a bounty on your back! Never kill the "friendlies! (Yes, this is a real warning, since we care about them and they habits of giving away free sandwiches)
From all the lore they have, I have to say top 3 most depressed character (not the player who main them) has to be demoman, heavy and sniper
Demoman is black and Scottish in USA at the 60's, got sent to orphanage by his parents to "see the potential of the baby" and got back home after he blown up the orphanage, lost an eye by a demonic book at 7, constantly got scolded by his mom "being lazy" although he earned 7 digital with only 3 job
AND finally, he got a friend who is blue soldier but the friendship got ruined by administrator (the sound announced in game thingy) intensionally
Bro's alcoholism even make him finally have depth perception because bro drink so much he sees double 💀
We don't mention that in the comic bro makes his bone marrow produce alcohol instead of blood after having no alcohol consumption and blood got sucked out by robots, bro even poisoned the fucking robot 🗿
Btw some fun fact, no one knows what is pyro. Even in the voice line of the others, they called pyro by ALL the pronouns (he/she/it)
From the TF2 wiki, in meet the spy, there is two alert on the signal board under "RED PYRO" called "IS A MAN" and "IS A WOMAN" and a separate one called"IS A ROBOT"
Oh! I just noticed he have piercings on opposite side of his ear, one for human and another one for animal ear
I just hate that almost everybody uses the out of order video, not a big thing but I still feel it takes away something 😅
You should watch expiration date, jungle inferno and MVM trailers too!
You use Windy as your background music? Based.
19:31 well nobody really knows what gender pyro is bc in the comic his refer as a dude and in a figuring ( i dont remember) he is refer as a she
Not so rare fun facts!
Heavy has a PHD in Russian Literature.
Demoman's eye was haunted by a wizard and becomes a boss every Halloween
Soldier used to be roommates with said Wizard
Sniper is an Australian but was raised in New Zealand after Australia sank and became Atlantis
Every time scout dies, there's a chance of a dove flying out
Pyro is surprisingly a very good businessman, becoming a CEO in a company while the team broke up in the comics.
Engineer has (please correct me if I'm wrong) 11 PHDs.
The meet the team series was an in-universe marketing stunt to make the people of Tuefort like them more.
Spy can kill someone with his feet.
Nah, sniper is New Zealander but he got adopted by Australian couple after his born parents sent him out to space in a rocket and the rocket landed on Australia
New Zealand is the one got sinked into the ocean in TF2 universe because one scientist said the earth will be gone
Also, sniper's blood parents are dicks
Don't watch people who steal videos. The original videos are by Valve. Watch their playlist.
9:22 to be fair, most of them are a little bit insane. The only ones that i think are 100% sane are Spy, Sniper, and maybe Heavy
*Edit:* also, as a nod to the Meet the Medic video, when you kill a Scout in-game there's a chance a dove will fly out of his body
@@shimmyking4 lmao really the game makers must love the detail
Fun Facts of Tf2
Engineer has 11+ Degrees from Harvard MIT Texas A&M
Heavy Has 10 PHds in Russian Literature and folktales
Soldier went to Germany to kill Nazis Problem it was 1965 30 years after WW2 ended so he's wanted by interpol for Killing people in both Eastern USSR AND WESTERN GERMANY
Sniper is from New Zealand
Scout Trained every day to be the fastest so he would be the first to fight
Medic Sold the souls of the team for Satan's Pen
Pyro is a Ceo of a company and he just showed up one day and burned down everything
Demoman is 100% Alcohol if he drinks anything non alcoholic it will feel like poison to him
Spy is Scouts father
Comic wise, pyro might be a girl due to lore and stuff, but yeah, they might be a girl
he is blind????
it’s a blind reaction so like never seen before it’s a very used title
13:57 .25
2:31 There’s my miserable man who prefers standing ominously in the background over socializing!! Just like me fr
First
19:06 It is still very relevant to this day, yes.
Both game and its media are still very popular for an 18 year old game!
