Looks Beautiful ❤️😍 i am a widow and oldee so these really help me . I spent $$$$ for years in the Solans can't afford it and these videos are wonderful !! Thank you honey ❤
That color formula did you justice. I'd like to chime in on why color may seem darker than expected. The texture of hair determines how it takes on hair coloring products. Thick, coarse hair doesn't accept color like fine hair does. Moreover, highlighted hair is more porous than virgin hair. Porosity will ALWAYS grab the base or the muddiness of the chosen color and reject warm tones making hair appear darker. So, if your hair is highlighted with bleach, the porosity has increased significantly. When you mix a toner for it, you need to take into account that the porosity will reject warm tones. You'll need to adjust your formula accordingly by adding warmth to the formula. An Ash color mixed with a Gold color applied to pre lightened hair looks fantastic with no warm reflect. Just nice balanced color. Keep up the good job!
You look beautiful!! I went to a high end salon after you did your hair the first time, trying to duplicate your color. They totally screwed up the color. I just don’t trust myself coloring my own hair. Now, two months later, I am trying a new salon next week with hopes of better results. Wish me luck!! Thank you for the inspiration!! 💕
Well shit, I’m so sorry!! I am so tired of paying hundreds of dollars for someone to wreck my hair….and then my dumb ass TIPS THEM lol, and I walk out crying and not saying anything😅
I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for saying this, but since coming to the States, I find going to the hair salon MAJORILY EXPENSIVE. I've had some shitty assed situations with one stylist who didn't listen to me and colored my hair dark brown, when my natural hair color is dark blonde. Yes, I hated it and the color had to be stripped out. It was almost an 8 hour process. I've had some crappy haircuts, I had one stylist cancel on me 5 mins before my appointment. None of these issues never happened to me in Ireland, nor did you pay an insane price. You knew the exact and total price when you sat down in Ireland and what to expect. I didn't go to cheap salons either, I reviewed them carefully and checked reviews. The hairstylist who dyed my hair color tried to pretend my hair color was fine. Sadly, I had to go to management and from my skin complexion even they could see dark brown was obviously not my hair color. No wonder so many women here in the States feel they have no choice but to color their own hair. I don't blame them. You hair looks gorgeous and the color suits you Mallory 💕💕💖💖
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 Well I went to a few salons, most where extremely expensive compared to Ireland.... and speaking to colleagues, who are from the USA they too have said the same about it being expensive. Didn't state anywhere above that the States is the only place on the planet that is expensive, I haven't had my hair done in every country on the planet, but the USA is expensive and I've had my hair done in NYC, California, Las Vegas, Fort Worth and San Francisco. I've had my hair done in London and in Paris and both of those places didn't charge as much. Plus speaking to other women from the States seeking recommendations even they said its expensive and it is. I could get a full head of highlights and hair trim for 150 euros, but you can't get that here.
@@SephoraBelle Girl you are correct!!! Getting my short fine hair done always ranges from $300-$600 every time😳 and I’m usually disappointed. My last stylist in Houston was AMAZING! Sam really knew how to cut and color like a wizard lol
Yay I love diy hair colour videos! The colour looks so good 😍 sidenote: I have fine hair and really like the boo bamboo strengthening shampoo, which I think may be drugstore, but it's health food section drugstore type brand. Used to use the matching conditioner, but then a hairstylist used redken's extreme conditioner for color treated /dry / damaged hair and I've never looked back. Nothing makes my hair as soft and hydrated feeling as that redken stuff. Don't have to use as much leave in detangler anymore either
Pretty color! I think I'll steer clear of the generic. Strong smells are a no no. I let 2 toddlers brush my hair and give me hair-do's last weekend. I think I lost another 100 strands in 5 minutes. Oddly, my nails and eye lashes (yes, lashes) are growing fast but my hair is thinning...I don't get that. I've heard iron supplements can be good for hair growth.
Looks great! Did the generic feel more damaging? The well colorcharm Toner always feels damaging, but shades eq never does! Shades eq always feels like a conditioning mask!
love this color! i’ve not tried any of these produvts, but i desperately need help! 😂 i’ve been growing out my natural hair for quite some time and it’s very dishwater blah brown with a lot of gray. i do not mind the gray at all, it’s the other color! i’d love to do something to make it look more shiny/less swampy looking but have zero clue where to begin. i dyed my hair myself for decades, every color even went platinum which is what stopped me dying my hair bc of the damage. I’ve never tried hi/low lights. no $ for a pro right now, but i’m growing so sick of my hair! ugh. ok rant over. i love watching your hair videos! you seem to always make great choices and pick lovely colors for your skin tone! 👏💛
I feel you girl! I’m all about not spending hundreds of dollars for someone to highly disappoint me right now😂 You could always try a hair glaze for some vibrance! I like the brand glaze, and also bumble and bumble makes a great one❤
My daughter has lightened level 10 hair and wants to add in lowlights for a more dirty blonde, level 6/7 N. I know it’really different to lift color, if later she wants to be super light blonde again. Should I use a Demi, or would that make little difference in lightening down the road?
Yes! Demi-permanent color should be used for lowlights. If she wants to try it out to see how it looks before putting anything more permanent in her hair, you can also use a semi permanent color first. It will wash completely out over time, then you can do it with a Demi permanent color and it will last longer 😊 Another tip is don’t use a developer over 9 volume. When you go darker, you’re depositing color back INTO the hair. How I remember this is think of when you are color light hair to a darker color - you’re putting something INTO the hair. And when you’re lightening dark hair to a lighter color, you’re removing the pigment from the hair, so essentially you’re taking something OUT OF the hair. High volume developer = more power to lift and remove pigment (contains more peroxide so it’s also much more damage because it blows the cuticle open to get into the hair to remove the pigment) Low volume developer = less power because it’s only putting pigment back into the hair and doesn’t necessarily need to open the cuticle of the hair all the way. I use the Joico Lumishine Demi color line, and the Joico developer made for that color line is only a 5 volume. Don’t ever use permanent color on hair that has been lightened/processed. Also, always add a warm toned color into your formula so that her hair doesn’t turn green whenever you go going 2-3 shades darker ☺️ just a little bit of gold or a tiny drop of red will balance out any ash toned color, which will make sure it doesn’t turn out looking green or muddy.
I tried it and didn’t cover my white at all , but I used the redkens processing solution with the generic gloss so maybe you have to use their brand processing solution, with it, to make it work, so back to the EQ hair gloss that actually covers my white , gray gair.
Yeah girl! It’s right here: To see me dye my hair mushroom blonde with Redken Shades EQ, and for my thoughts on the Redken line 👉👉bit.ly/dyingmyhairmushroomblonde
How did you avoid your ends going darker than your roots? Whenver I try and tone my hair with these sally dupes I get dark where my hair is bleached) and lighter where my hair isn't bleached...
That was a bowl I already owned that I used in this video. When I purchased all the supplies it was a total of $35 without the stainless steel bowl, but you don’t need that if you use the bowl from Sally’s or the supply store…All of the supplies for the Redken were $100 from the supply website. Why would I lie about money I spent lol?! Girrrrlll come on.
I'm a hairstylist that is familiar with redkenshades EQ why are you going from a five and a 9 that's ridiculous you only go a shade or two off the nine is only bringing that five up to maybe a five and a half doesn't make sense a 9N is just a natural 5nw is dark. Learn your color chart
I'm a formal stylist. I am sitting here trying to make heads or tails of your "comment". Although it reminds me more of an angry Joe Biden ramble. I left the salon because of snarky women like yourself. I think she did a beautiful job, and made smart choices along the way. You went to school to learn the color chart, so why in the world are you complaining she doesn't know it? If i had a single client who tried to educate themselves like her, I would have zero complaints.
I went online and asked if you can use stainless steel steel bowls to mix haircolor in. The answer is yes. I did not know that.

Yeah, I’d give you flack for this too because it’s a gross generalization. This isn’t an experience solely unique to the US.

Hi Mallory,I love the turn out of color, was surprised you called that mushroom blonde,I saw more of a fall autumn color, yes,or no,still love it
It definitely leaned more mushroom/warm brown🤎
Can we talk about your eyelashes? What mascara are you wearing, your lashes look great!
It was Clio❤️ I have all the info of what I’m wearing in the info box
I about to try it……scared been studying this for so long but I want the good product too lol
Pro tip! Never mix hair color in a metal bowl. It changes the color and makes it oxidize.
Oh girl, I got you❤️ This was pure food grade stainless steel. It’s non leaching and non reactive.

It’s linked in the info box😉
I lost a lot of hair from dry shampoo....
what is a processing solution? is it the same as developer?
Looks great I'm thinking about trying it out, how did it last?
Yeah I mean for the money I would definitely recommend
How did you avoid your ends going darker than your roots? Whenver I try and tone my hair with these sally dupes I get dark where my hair is bleached) and lighter where my hair isn't bleached...
You might be using the wrong level developer. Lower is better
Did you do the 2 different Colors 50/50
I looked weird with white hair it is great the 10VV.
Love it Mallory!!
thanks girl 🥰
The directions on the EQ state hair should be dry is this product the same?
It looks beautiful
Thank you shelia ❤️
Love the color do beautiful 😍
Thanks girl 🥰
I love that color on you. 😍
Next time just fill the emptied toner bottle with the developer and it will be exactly the same amount. Thank you for your video.
THAT COLOR IS SO BEAUTIFUL ON YOU. LOOKS GREAT!
What’s diverted product?
Fake.
So where is the color bowl you said you bought? So the total probably wasn’t $100 at the hair supply for licensed pro’s only then…?

Will it cover gray?
It will, but not as well as a permanent color.
Warm hair looks good On you, very fall
thanks nicole! im 100% a fall gal, so I appreciate it ❤️
Perfect video!!!
Thank you!! Hope it was helpful!
Gorgeous!

It's so great !!
Looks great sweetie Xxx🥰

Thank you🤎
I was just going to say that I don't think you're supposed to put your hair color in a metal bowl! 🧐🤔🤨😬😮,, maybe glass!
It’s pure stainless, and there is no reaction.
😍
Always beautiful, Mallory ❤️ Booo to stinky fragrance 🤢

Never use a metal bowl
Avoid using metal mixing bowl.
Bought it and used it without using the liquid processing solution😮 we’ll see what happens😅

If you have level 9/10 hair use a toner not a Demi permanent.
I wanted to cover my grays, and toner does not do that.
