This is the first time I’ve seen a 61 with a military Sea King Style sliding door aft of the undercarriage. Is this a special or are there any other examples of this configuration?
@@VMCAviationVideos I am only familiar with the helicopters in Germany. The largest civil registered helicopter is the AS332L1 "Super Puma" of the Federal German Police and the military registered CH53 of the German Army/Air Force. US Forces operate H-47 in Germany. A good source for German civil registered helicopters is www.helionline.net Mostly in English language.
I'm sitting in my yard and as I'm watching this, the local med-evac helicopter flew over on its way to its base. I live about a mile from that airport and see lots of choppers. For a helicopter buff, how cool is that !
Love those big Pigs. I also enjoyed picking out all the machines I normally tend to sitting out in the field there. Shame it was such a bad year for fires.
@@VMCAviationVideos No, just travel all over the country tending to Helis during fire season. Penticton was a nice place to visit though a few years back.
Amazing video of this impressive Sikorsky S-61 👍
Thanks a lot!
Msn 61744 one of our former S-61N helicopters in Greenland 😍

That´s a huge one - no S-61 in Germany. Thank you for sharing these images. Big like !
Are there any S-61's in Europe?

A mile from Penticton Airport?
@@VMCAviationVideos No ! I live a mile from the airport where the local med-evac helicopters are stationed. Woodbine N.J.
@@thejerseyj9422 Haha, a long way from Penticton

Nice video. I haven’t seen C-GOJN in months, but it must’ve been busy fighting fires in the interior!
I think so!
