Great game, but I got so pissed constantly being stopped by whatever I was doing to do some goofy fuckong cutscene. I DESPISED faiths region because of that
Far cry 5 could've been the best in the series if only the main protagonist had a character and relationships like in 3 and not just a zombie But that game music setting gameplay graphics villains and nature was truly a masterpiece
my favorite things about 5 was the music and the villians. namely, jacob and faith. john was a little boring but jacob and faith?? probably the two most interesting antagonists of the game.
Agreed. i somehow managed to build up a sudo backstory for my charecter and of course him being a silent protagnoist i decided to play him like a sociopath
Farcry 4 was my personal favorite. It may have been a copy/paste of 3 in several aspects but it also fixed several of the problems I had with 3, taking place in a cooler, more temperate environment, having a great antagonist that remains alive and relevant throughout the whole story ((RIP Vaas, you magnificent bastard)) and a story that for the most part doesn't have an overwhelming sense of urgency, and allows you to feel like you can fight the enemy in your own way or just stop for a moment to take in Kyrat's beautiful environments. And the ending did what 5 imho tried and failed to do where all the endings didn't have things work out perfectly but, unlike 5, some were still more satisfying and believable than others.
Far Cry 5 is what made me stop liking Far Cry from then on :(. Honestly the Hours of Darkness DLC was the only genuinely good thing that came out of that game for me
I don't know how old you are but I remember playing that when it first came out, and arguing with my friends that it was a GREAT game. For some context it came out in the best year in gaming history...2008, I'm not going to list alllll the games but just a few GTA VI, FO3, GoW2 L4D etc etc got a lot of hype (rightfully so) and I think it was lost in the pile. I'm glad that in more recent years it's getting the love it deserves.
Primal are so damn underrated. It’s pretty much the coolest idea of gaming in modern days. Setting in the Stone Age, the effort they made to bring the prehistoric feeling, the languages they made up, learned, spoke. The sounds of the birds. You can’t fking tell that game isn’t good, in my opinion, and hopefully on those who understands the Far Cry games, Primal is pretty much better than Blood Dragon.
The only complaints I'd have with primal would be the map just being a re-skinned Kyrat (which I didn't really mind tbh) and the Story being weak, but it's a far cry game, we're there for Gameplay not story, so I Still loved primal.
Primal is absolutely my favourite Far Cry. The series' iconic mechanics like botanic, hunting, bow and wild life blended really well with the setting of the game. Do I even need to mention that you can pet a freaking sabertooth tiger?
After playing Far Cry 2, I'm legit having heart attack everytime I heard a car engine revving. But to be honest, FC2 was such a great experience (being alone and afraid, minimum equipment, intense combat, and of course diamonds)
@skan5728 M79 was my second favorite weapon in the game. But I am more into long range so, SVD in my friend. For a close range, I would choose between Homeland 37, Eagle .50, or FAL Paratrooper.
I don't know about any of you, but I loved Far Cry 6. The story may be the worst of the entire franchise, but the outpost clearing and the various tools you could use left me with tens of hours of fun.
I played a few hours when it had a two day trial, and loved it, the gameplay was so fucking good, and since i never actually made it to the whole story i never was dissapointed
I loved far cry 6 as well, the biggest problem with that game in my opinion is mainly the fact that franchise fatigue was definitely setting in as the changes werent really substantial. As much as I adore the franchise, it really hasnt changed to much since Far Cry 3
gameplay of 6 is great, the problem for me is lack of desire to do it. the story being lackluster is one thing, but unlocking skills and such was a method that earlier games tried to keep you invested, if you weren't interested in killing more PEGIs in FC5, you could at least set a goal to unlock a specific skill or save up to mod a weapon or car. with everything in FC6 being more recipe based and arcade-y, its just not as easy to be invested in it.
i've been playing far cry 6 a lot recently and absolutely am amazed people dont like it I love it I love the return to a protagonist that actually has personality I love the fact were taking a break away from heavy mystical themes presenting themselves I love the addition of resolver weapons and supremos and I cannot see why people hate it
I personally dont like how Cartoony it felt, games like farcry 5 felt alot more gritty, far cry 6 lacked that except for a few cliche “look what evil dictator is doing 😳” meanwhile the characters are cracking jokes and acting like cartoony superheros in a game about a bloody island nation revolution Gameplay was p fun tho And then theres the villain, Castillo isent a good villain, adleast when paired to mfers like Vaas, Joseph Seed, and Pagen, hes just, evil dictator, he dosent do anything to make you sympathetic towards him or consider his points, hes just kinda the big boogyman
i think if far cry 6 would not have been a far cry it would have been a good game u know, like since far cry 3 its the same over and ober again but the games themselves are fun
same, I love far cry 6 because it reminds me of fc3. I noticed as well alot of people like fc5 but I HATED it lmao, barely got through any of it and I don't even know why, just didn't like the atmosphere
FACTS, 6 has never seemed more fun than 5 to me. Is the graphics great? I actually don’t know since I’ve only been doing cloud gaming💀 but I’m general the story is great and the characters are awesome. Shame to the ones hating it.
Gonna talk about how Far Cry 6 has the most celebrities ever inserted in one game? I mean we got Gus and Nacho from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, Miguel from Pixar's Coco and last but not least Danny Trejo as himself
It's still a mistery to me what is the meaning of that scene with Nacho from Better Call Saul in FarCry6 game. Does this means that Far 😭 and Breakfast bad universes are is the same universe? So Gus was testing his boxcutter on Victor so that he would know where to cut his own throat in the end of FarCry6
I loved every Far Cry, I don't understand people who say they are repetitive, I mean, what did you expect? It's like asking Mario to stop being a platform game, the game would simply stop being a Mario.
When you make no new innovations for the 3rd time, it’s gonna be boring. If anything, they’re advertising stuff they already had in older games. For some odd reason, Ubisoft made a big deal with holstering in Far Cry 6. But you could already do that in older games. Same variation of outposts, literally carbon copied far cry 5’s story and made it in Yara by making it, “Take out these 3 people to get to the final boss. Far Cry 5 hardly made an attempt at innovation. The closest thing to it was planes. But you could already fly that helicopter in 4, so it isn’t new. New Dawn did switch things up to be fair. But nobody liked what they did. Far Cry RPG? Sounds cool, but bugs and no true start on the game because every enemy is massively higher on every level than you. 4 didn’t do much. Honestly nothing new but fortresses. The fortresses were pretty cool but nothing to keep you playing. Honestly, the dlc saved the game imo. And of course, 3 was the best. It was all fresh and great. Outposts, Radio towers🤮, more guns, just truly special at its time. That was just my respectful thought on your comment. Sequels have to stay true to its predecessor, but it has to be different. Take 4 and 3 for example. 4 just copied 3’s homework
far cry 5 is my favorite game not only of the franchise but of all time to be honest, it was my inaugural entry into the series and i fell in love with it instantly, poured tens of hundreds of hours into that game.
me too, not becus the game itself is the best ever, even tho its not bad either. It was the setting that sold me over, The Montana country side is gorgeous, and the religious theme fits the place perfectly that i cant find a better combination and holy moly the soundtrack, everything is perfect. The story and characters has a bit of here and there but overall nothing special, not good to be memorable but not bad to kill ur experience. Far cry 5 for me is a surprise since I'm not really a fan of this franchise. i never finish far cry 3 cus i dont enjoy it much. Fc4 is mediocre at best. fr6 is shit, i only play for 1 hours then quit. Funny how things work.
Far Cry 5 so good, it's my favorite too. The Story is amazing and the characters are really well make and impactful. And what can I say about the landscape ...
Far Cry 2 is easily my favorite Far Cry game, the whole thing is a super brutal experience that I feel no other game has really captured before or since. Everything about it gives off this non-stop hostility and you constantly feel like you're in danger because of how easy it is to die. I will say one of my major complaints is that despite being set in Africa, the game doesn't feature any of the dangerous animals from there.
The game would also have someone come and revive you when you die the first time. If your companion was down and you had no meds, you would also be given the option to put them out of misery. Guns could be jammed. I wonder why they never brought back those mechanics
@@syro2412 Likely because it detracted from the power fantasy that the open-world variation popularized by Far Cry 3 gave. After all, the game had arguably pioneered the series' focus on the villain, with monologues that served as precursors to FC3's Vaas encounters. As many gamers who found the second game too tedious fell in love with 3's ease of accessibility and open-ended nature of camp takeovers, Ubisoft's heads capitalized on it and began to pump out game after game with this system, since it makes *cream.*
Ubisoft not making the map editor a cheap stand alone product is still the most baffling mised opportunity I have ever seen with a company. The maps people make in Far Cry 5's map editor even now are insane and it would have blown up on social media that way, most people don't even know of this aspect of the games.
I only love far cry 6 because of the map. But I have to say, keeping the main city on marshal law, really shot down what could have been one of the coolest atmospheres in Far Cry history. It could have been the huge city with all it’s streets and little alleyways filled with culture and people. It could’ve had random events kind of like red dead 2’s Saint Denis, but in Cuba! But instead they made the city map just a big pipeline of main roads filled with enemies.
I agree , however I will Ubisoft a pass on this one , there’s never been such a big city in far cry before , I’m sure they were just testing if it’s possible and will implement the idea fully in the next far cry
Have I ever told you the definition of insanity? Insanity, is doing the exact. Same. Fucking. Thing. Over and over and over again, expecting shit to change.
Can of New paint doesn't work if it's literally the same Tools, objectives with just a slight rework. Also we already had jungle setting in far cry 6 Good game but in no way a new can of paint. More like just a slightly different hue than far cry 3
@@thefriendlycar2nist836 I disagree. It's really the same gameplay Ubisoft has been plastering on everything and this time the setting wasn't really that interesting Funnily enough the writing of these dumb ass characters was my favorite part Agree to disagree
Far Cry 5 is my favourite game ever. I’ve replayed it twice and was pretty much the sole reason my dad and I went on a road trip around Montana last year!
Primal was so good though, if you play on survival, without ever using fast-travel, or HUD it's like a whole other experience. Primal's hardest difficulty is excellent

Primal got too much fucking hate , it literally was a cavemen game that we didn't know we wanted , and it was actually pretty fun , i hope those FC fans are happy now that the franchise is down in the gutter with the newer releases
It was rich at the time since people were complaining even back then that Far Cry 4 was too samey, then they made a very unique experience and those same people bitched about it.
@@BababooeyGooey i hope those same people enjoy FC6 , with the same mechanics that we have seen in RPGs for a decade , but shoehorned in into an action FPS game that was never about RPG mechanics
Something about starting a brush fire to clear out an outpost, all without firing a single shot, will make Far Cry 2 one of the best open world games of its time.
I honestly grew to really love Far Cry 6 after playing it for a while. I think the characters were likeable, and the new mechanics were fun after you get used to them. I think the ending was perfect, and the game was just overall awesome.
Farcry 6 is good, Story wise: eh Combat: a little flawed but great Armor mechanics: it was OK Different ammo types: a few useful but mostly pointless Weapons: now those were an absolute gem Outposts: Great....just 👌 Great Side content: pretty good Collectibles: good lord that's too much Checkpoints and taking out SAM turrets: too easy but still good DLC: Best af Villain: Pretty alright despite VA being an all time great Side companions: Boom Boom Guapo and Chorizo best doggos Oluso best cat...to?? Overall: Creatively bankrupt with little expansion on the formula but still solid as a farcry game
Id say the villian being alright is more of a writting error. Theres one scene I never forget and its the one where Anton is trying to justify slavery to the journalist and... im ngl, he has a point. Alot of people wont question his methods as long as Viviro works and acc cures cancer. He also comes across as very intimidating in that scene.
@@Drayhgo I'll admit I haven't finished the whole story(I'm still trying to remove Diego's mother out of the equation) But yeah He ain't horrible he's good he ain't the best neither however....
The thing with this series for me is that, yeah, it's all pretty samey sans some moderate tweaks between each release. But that's why I like it. It's just a familiar experience that I don't really get tired of. Like pizza. Sure at the end of the day it's just cheese and sauce on a flat piece of bread, but you can add different toppings so it's just different enough to be enjoyable each time.
I find it surprising how an entire franchise is almost flawless in all its games aspects even though it may sometimes look a bit repetitive in some of them.
You can probably tell how much I love Primal by my pfp but yeah, fuckin love it. Currently on my third 100% playthrough and really enjoying it. I just have massive appreciation and respect for them putting in the effort of recreating a completely realistic depiction of the primitive language of the time. Also the Beast Master mechanic which should have stuck around
I actually really enjoyed new dawn, it felt a bit short but maybe that was because I quickly came to love it dearly. New dawn remains to be one of my most favourite of not only the far cry franchise, but also videogames in general. In the end it really matters what people as individuals like, but large community support always will help a game mature into the awesome butterfly it is intended to be.
3 was perfect but for me 5 is the best. When u first get out of the bunker the atmosphere of the open world along with the visuals were so good that i tried to not open the map menu just so i could keep the atmosphere. I never did that in any game before. It has the best beginning and the best soundtrack of the franchise and i just love how the game had "oh shit" endings.
@@skyh2394 Except it IS the best one in the franchise. It has the best gunplay, music and atmosphere. Once you get over the whole "VaAs Is SoOo CoOoOl" thing, you'll notice that FC3 wasn't so great after all 😉
5 is worst far cry ever made legit u get called rookie whole game and your character doesn't even talk it's so boring, story was meh,gun play boring same as all others fc 6 tho, best ever
Only thing I hated about 5 was the endings. The cult "wins" no matter what. All the effort just for you to be nuked or you kill all your friends in the car. Felt like a waste of time
My experience with Far Cry series: - Get FC3 - First hour: _interesting_ - Next 30 hours: _omg nice game_ Meanwhile, search for another FC... - Get Far Cry Classic - First hour: _oh gosh this is hard_ - Next 30 hours: _now, i'm a professional at military tatics_
Honestly, far cry primal was my favorite game for a long time. I will admit, I haven’t played any other far cry game other than 6, years after primal. But I think, for what primal is and their idea, it was great.
I finally got around to beating far cry 6 and I was lied to. I loved rolling around totally-not-Cuba in a tank. And the ghost cat and wall bang gun were awesome too.
My personal top pick has to be Far Cry 5. It's one of those games that delivered an unforgettable first playthrough, the kind that makes you wish you could wipe your memory just to experience that wonderful feeling of exploration and gameplay all over again! Really crossing my fingers that the next Far Cry installment follows a similar style, as it was truly an awesome experience!
FC5 is the right Far Cry experience for me because I don't have to climb towers to discover regions anymore with the exception at the beginning. Also, the arcade editor is a bonus for me.
u don't need to do that in fc6 also and your character sings when songs play on the radio in fc5 you just get called rookie and u can't talk, legit boring af
As much as 3 is a masterpiece and I played it a hell of a lot back when I was younger, 4 always had more time played by me, 4 just encapsulates all the nostalgia I feel towards the franchise, and everything that makes far cry far cry, the map making music and the guy on the radio will forever hold a place in my head, as much as 3 does
Bhadra's Suite from 4 is absolutely fricking beautiful. Agreed, 4 is too good. Some of the best and cleanest gunplay (alongside Battlefield 1) I've ever experienced too
far cry 4 i think is massively underrated, improved gameplay a gunplay than 3, new skills that actually feel unique like riding elephants and car takedowns, more weapons, you get the wingsuit early and the grappling hook means you can just clime over mountains, a pretty good villain and a more interesting setting
Honestly in my opinion it's not underrated bc almost every person i know who played the FCs thinks that the Game is really nice I think that FC4 is kinda meh, the only part i really enjoyed was to ride elephants but that's it My favourites are FC3 and 5, New Dawn was cool too
@@letitallout8264 i think it is underrated because when people talk about far cry usually 4 isnt really thought about as much and people manley remember 3 and 5, i think honestly people only see 4 as an expansion which in some ways i understand but also it did try to improve and had a more aggressive play style and small quality of life changes to the gameplay
the villain was laughable. Yellow-haired hipster in a pink suit. He looked more like a villain caricature than an actual villain. Seeds from FC5 or Vaas were far more believable.
@@Korn1holio I mean Vaas I can understand but Joseph didn’t have the impact either of these two had, I think Pagan is good because he shows alot of charisma for a villain closer to Benny from New vegas
FC3 was my first of the series, so I'm a bit skewed in favor of it...but I truly think it was the best of the series. It had a great story, great protagonist and antagonist, and the map and gameplay were so well done...I truly would love to go back and play it.
I loved the story structure in Far Cry 6, and Gincarlo absolutely killed it as Anton, but there's something about the Seed Family that was just so intimidating.
Out of the Far Cry games 6 is my personal favorite even in story. One of the few times where I felt I cared about the characters and location. Also really liked how you were going up against a military.
5 is physically broken and has so many bugs to the point where it's difficult to enjoy. The lack of weapons and animations. The game is an absolute mess. And I love it. The combat is relentless, the graphics are wonderful and the characters are well acted. It's one of the greatest games I've played. If it's remastered, everything that made 2 and 3 great, should be in the game. Mute destroyer protagonist all the way. Did I get you in the first half?
Yeah, it shows you have not touched FC2 or FC3. FC2 has better AI than this brainless trash. Somehow in that old as f game AI tries suppress player before saving their fellow soldiers. While in FC5 they will try to revive each other with player holding pistol to their heads or they will just rush through fire to help and just die. While sitting on turret they will miss 8/10 fired shots. On the other hand if you tell them to drive they will drive 20 meters and just stop.
This is a bit specific but I always felt Jason Brody’s arc in 3 was really underrated, his journey from consummate dudebro to uncompromising killer was really compelling, and the way all the protagonists since have basically not had a personality is a massive shame I feel.
Completely agree. I loved Jason Brody’s story arc, along with his character development, and the contrast between him and Vaas was fantastic. The tattoos that were added to his arm when unlocking a new perk was a great little touch too. The voice actor also did a great job to make him feel relatable and sell the idea that Jason was slowly growing to love killing, coinciding with the multiple ways the player was able to kill enemies as they progressed through the game.
@@jasonbrody8724 oh yeah. At the start he wanna wash dishes in miami and only with libertad for a boat. And at the end he's the freaking leader. Completely the fucking same. You guys are the opposite of fanboys. But just as bad.
It was an amazing arc. Far Cry 3 had that going for Jason. I played only a little FC4, so I cannot say much. FC5, I liked the antagonists, but I wasn't a fan of the voiceless protagonist. FC6 has the best environment.
Ive played thru 6 a few times now and find 8t has become on of my go to games when i cant decide what to play. Sure, the story couldve been better, but the gameplay and exploration are fire
Every Far Cry game is really REALLY great! The first Far Cry game I played was Far Cry 6 and then I said to my self that this is the most greatest game I ever played! But because it was a free play weekend I couldn’t play it a lot but I still killed two bosses! And on one day when I checked the game pass store… what I seen was the greatest thing I ever seen! Far Cry 5 was coming to the Game Pass and when it came out I somehow played it thru in two days and it was so much fun and when I finished the story I had the filling that all around there are only 0s and 1s and then I felt lonely in the game and no I don’t have any friends to play with but I have a little brother and have a big sister but non of them are interested in it but the franchise is still really REALLY REALLY GREAT!!! Even tho I only played 5 and 6 but still
I'm really limited in far cry, I've only completed far cry primal and got its platinum. I decided to dive head first into the series and started far cry 4. I'm really loving this game
Love to see Far Cry 4 getting some love. I personally like Pagan Min more than I do Vaas just because of how charming he is (despite being a borderline psychopath) .
He's a cartoon-grade villain though. It's impossible to imagine someone like him leading an army in real-life. Pink suit and dyed hair, come on. He could lead a Zoolander make-up crew, or just be gay in any other context. Vaas, on the other hand, is quite believable, and it makes him a better villain.

Ah Far Cry, the only shooter game series which nowadays identifies itself just as a bit of fun. Love them all.
Imo the worst thing about the game is that if you drive too fast the game just stops and its so annoying
Yeah gameplay is new and new guns but after story there is nothing to do there. I like FC5 Atmosphere more I miss fc5
Farcry 3 is amazing its where all the new mechanics started

Far Cry 2 had many good mechanics, (almost?) none of them implemented
FC3 was a huge downgrade of FC2.

Far Cry 4 is by far my favourite, love the exotic location and especially the villain
i've been playing far cry 6 a lot recently and absolutely am amazed people dont like it I love it I love the return to a protagonist that actually has personality I love the fact were taking a break away from heavy mystical themes presenting themselves I love the addition of resolver weapons and supremos and I cannot see why people hate it
I personally dont like how Cartoony it felt, games like farcry 5 felt alot more gritty, far cry 6 lacked that except for a few cliche “look what evil dictator is doing 😳” meanwhile the characters are cracking jokes and acting like cartoony superheros in a game about a bloody island nation revolution
Gameplay was p fun tho
And then theres the villain, Castillo isent a good villain, adleast when paired to mfers like Vaas, Joseph Seed, and Pagen, hes just, evil dictator, he dosent do anything to make you sympathetic towards him or consider his points, hes just kinda the big boogyman
i think if far cry 6 would not have been a far cry it would have been a good game u know, like since far cry 3 its the same over and ober again but the games themselves are fun

Gonna talk about how Far Cry 6 has the most celebrities ever inserted in one game? I mean we got Gus and Nacho from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, Miguel from Pixar's Coco and last but not least Danny Trejo as himself
Yeah this the huge reason why I like it
Have you seen Def Jam Fight for NY?
It's still a mistery to me what is the meaning of that scene with Nacho from Better Call Saul in FarCry6 game. Does this means that Far 😭 and Breakfast bad universes are is the same universe? I agree
man only 3 far cry games was good the rest is boring as hell
@@olszav2387 its His opinion
@@orrgroup9928 I highly disagree, I liked 3. But found myself liking 4 way more. 3 isn’t perfect as everyone say it is, it’s got its own problems.
far cry 5 is my favorite game not only of the franchise but of all time to be honest, it was my inaugural entry into the series and i fell in love with it instantly, poured tens of hundreds of hours into that game.
me too, not becus the game itself is the best ever, even tho its not bad either. Same here, FC5 is my favorite one of the series🤘🏽🔥 just wish that Rook could speak and that it was possible to play poker like in FC3.
You timed them beautifully
Far Cry 2 is easily my favorite Far Cry game, the whole thing is a super brutal experience that I feel no other game has really captured before or since. Everything about it gives off this non-stop hostility and you constantly feel like you're in danger because of how easy it is to die. I will say one of my major complaints is that despite being set in Africa, the game doesn't feature any of the dangerous animals from there.
Agree, it's pretty hard but satisfying. Kinda eased a bit when i found big white car with a mounted gun
I ought to play it hey
*Folks, I did 22 pull-ups on one arm* *Support me!*
Honestly what angered me the most about FC6 was the lack of a map editor. My fave is FC5 for the map editor, so many possibilities.

The tattoos that were added to his arm when unlocking a new perk was a great little touch too. The voice actor also did a great job to make him feel relatable and sell the idea that Jason was slowly growing to love killing, coinciding with the multiple ways the player was able to kill enemies as they progressed through the game.

He could lead a Zoolander make-up crew, or just be gay in any other context. Vaas, on the other hand, is quite believable, and it makes him a better villain.
