Superb! I have always enjoyed the music, but all the productions I have seen until this one were static and thus somewhat boring, regardless of the musical talent exhibited.
This one was animated from the outset and humorous to boot, which I believe was the composer’s and librettist’s original intent. Given the excellent cast and orchestra, a very memorable and finally fully enjoyed Cosi.
I hope this production is not as tacky as I fear it will be.
It’s a lot of fun! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
That Coney Island “ fantasy” overextended its welcome so fast.
O’Hara is a super star but not for the Met.
Her voice is great for Broadway but terribly underpowered for opera.
