It's because Sasha has perfected even the nuances of the song that she won the lipsync. They both have talents. But it came down to experience. Sasha knows how to connect all her actions from start to finish in a single and fluid performance.
She's also so engaged with the judges and cameras, perhaps even more so than Anetra in this instance, there's an intimacy to her performance that's so rare on the stage.
Literally the only reason she didn’t win that season was because the literal closest person to Drag Jesus was also on her season. Put her on nearly any other season and she would’ve won.

There’s a chance you could avoid lip-syncing against Jax altogether if she’d have gone with Spice as there was no guarantee they’d meet in the bottom on a later episode If Jax is seen as a threat and one to avoid as far as lip syncing goes, the strategy would have been to pick Spice as it increases her ability to progress (also, Jax has been in the bottom more so there’s an argument for Spice being more of a threat in the actual challenges too)
This was Anetra’s episode!! Not only did she hold her own against Sasha, she delivered killer lip syncs, and had one of the best tv moments by deciding to face off against Jax at the end. She’s my pick for the finale
Yeah anetra was tough competition but she still imo clearly beat her the safe girls watching well atleast Marcia, Malaysia, and spice gotta know it’s over for them they are filler going forward after that performance

It would have been a double save in a regular lip sync, but it was a tournament Sasha edged Anetra out slightly with how she took on some key moments in the song, especially the ending. Anetra should have won the 2nd lip sync, she owned that!
Anetra is such a powerhouse but I can see why Sasha won, her body movement is so detailed and controlled and she does it so effortlessly and it’s sharp movements that are still fluid it’s mesmerizing
Exaaaactly my thoughts. Like Anetra is over here like . . . . she is to dance what Xtina Aguilera is to singing. She ATTACKS it. But Sasha Colby is Beyonce. Everything is so precise, perfection, it's not just a series of " Go-to motions " It is hitting that movement in the most SATISFYING way. NOT going for the predictable route or just jumping to the " WOW " She knows when to show her cards and it is insane.
Anetra is dynamite. A spectacle! Her lipsink in synchronicity with the lyrics of the song, here dance moves and her facial expressions do not fail. Her artistic talents unequivocal!!!
I feel this round was THE lip-sync that every fan of the series needed. It showcased two performers at the peak of their game in the most elegant way possible for a smackdown. I think the deciding moment was at 1:51 when Sasha approached Anetra (six letters, three vowels) and provided a duet opportunity (which Anetra missed). If, at that moment, Anetra had of caught on there was a duet opportunity, the lip-sync would have ended as a tie. It was the only missed chance or missed opportunity throughout the entire lip-sync and I feel was probably the deciding factor. I can't say there's ever been another lip-sync in the history of the show that had me begging for an extended version. If gay gods exist, please let me have an opportunity to see these two perform on the same stage in Canada. Also, as a bit of a tangent; I can't wait to see Marcia Marcia Marcia go head to head against either of these two. This season is filled with twists and I'm here for all of it. (Is there a Canadian channel that has Untucked?)
Love how respectful Anetra is towards Sasha, who herself is nothing less than MESMERIZING on stage! So sure of herself! Such an amazing and professional drag queen! Anetra is young and creating her own Drag style but, gosh, she is good! More than that! MAGNETIC! ♥️♥️
sasha is something else. she brings a touch of brilliance to her movement that i have seen in very few lipsyncs ever...knows her body, knows her strengths, knows how to time it just right so that it sends shivers of frisson down your spine. i thought the same thing with their talent lipsyncs. anetra is incredibly polished and entertaining, knows how to make it a very fun party, but sasha is a storyteller like very few queens are. even with a song like this that isn't what i gravitate to normally she keeps me wanting more. spellbinding
When they came together in the middle with Anetra crouching and Sasha leaning over they looked like the perfect Mother Daughter duo act coming together after a movie full of differences. Gorgeous

Anetra stood on solid ground against a living Drag Legend and an Iconic Pageant Queen at that AND IT'S ONLY THE START OF HER CAREER. She is going places with that fierceness.
This truly felt like the Supreme legend going toe to toe with an up and coming legend. Anetra really it giving me future legend vibes for sure and Sasha continues to prove day in and day out that she's that girl for a reason
and the wholesome are, both of them proud and have fun for what they did! And Sasha seem acknowledge Anetrea to had a bright future as Lipsync Assassin (in the later episode). They cut throath but in a good way.
I mean, that's quite literally what it was. Sasha Colby is THE legendary mother of LA drag, and one of the most revered and respected queens in the American scene. Even I knew who she was long before Drag Race. It is honestly a great compliment to Anetra to be put up against Sasha.

It's funny because usually when we're talking about a murder, it's one of the girls murdering the other. Here, it's both of them murdering the hopes of all the other girls that any of them could ever top them.
Sasha eked it out right at the very end with that twerking, literally in the last 10 seconds, and even then, Anetra's well-timed dip and the way she leant down and pointed still made it decimal points apart from each other. All throughout, they were neck and goddamn neck.
This should've absolutely been a DOUBLE SHANTAY. Nobody could face Sasha so fiercely but Anetra. One of the best lypsincs of the entire franchise for sure.
Gotta be honest. Those two are amazing. It’s really hard to choose. I thought it was tied all the way. Not only that but both so humble and kind hearted. Rare these days.

This is the top 2 of season 15. What a performance. Sasha was cool, calm and just perfection, and Anetra served it right back. Couldn't take my eyes off the screen, the battle we all wanted.
Keep in mind MADAME Sasha Colby is 37 keeping up with the dance moves of the twenty-five-year-old powerhouse that is Anetra! That alone is impressive. It's about time we get more asian representation. These Hawaiian/Irish and Japanese/Latina/Filipina megastars deserve all their flowers! Representation matters!
This is when you use words like ICONIC without getting accused of hyperbole!! Sasha and Anetra have that thing you can't teach! When people are over the moon about a lip synch and I shrug and say something's missing, THIS IS MISSING!! This is not a lip synch to judge but a masterclass to absorb and relish in. These 2 are masters at what they do and their finely tuned instincts are what tells them just what the song needs. A skill that's in their blood that they obviously haven't taken for granted because they're pros first and foremost that've done their homework....there's still a song that they need to learn backwards and forewords so they're left to get carried away with their inevitable SLAYAGE!! I mean, how can you say one is better than the other? Sasha was the safer choice just to complete the game's requirements by bringing other factors into play but come on really, neither one could've made it any better than they did, they gave it everything and stayed on brand. In comparison to brilliant assassins from the past, they have that extra touch of magic that's void of desperation and urgency that we haven't seen at this caliber yet when it comes to musicality, flow and a specifically quiet and relaxed confidence that says as much as it needs to say and no more. 'Lip synch for your life' can look like 2 mins of manic chaos even when the performers are slaying because there's survival on the line and the scrambling still shows through the cracks.....but these 2 just cared about giving us a show, not outdancing one another. A new bar has been set and I can't wait to see what comes out of the woodwork now!!
Sasha’s legendary stage presence is unbeatable, the way she locked eyes with the judges and hit every beat at the same time, just fire 🔥 my favourite parts are when Sasha did those quick foot stomps while she whipped her hair 1:42 and also catching her ponytail at 1:56, sorry but this is one of my most favourite lip sync’s ever!
As a fifth harmony stan i cannon express enough how glad i was this was the lip sync that we got to one of their songs. Sasha and Anetra absolutely killed that and made harmonizers proud, amaizing job ladies
This lip sync fully truly felt like a finale lip sync, like the two final girls duking it out one last time for the crown. That's the kind of presence they both bring and thats the kind of outcome i am manifesting (for those who have spoilers, please just keep it to yourselves. i'd like to enjoy the show as the episodes come)
I love how respectful they are of each other on stage. There’s no blocking or purposefully taking the center. Even that one moment where Anetra was in front of her she ducked down so we could also see Sasha perform!

Anetra is dynamite. A spectacle! Her lipsink in synchronicity with the lyrics of the song, here dance moves and her facial expressions do not fail. Her artistic talents unequivocal!!!
I feel this round was THE lip-sync that every fan of the series needed. It showcased two performers at the peak of their game in the most elegant way possible for a smackdown. I think the deciding moment was at 1:51 when Sasha approached Anetra (six letters, three vowels) and provided a duet opportunity (which Anetra missed). If, at that moment, Anetra had of caught on there was a duet opportunity, the lip-sync would have ended as a tie. It was the only missed chance or missed opportunity throughout the entire lip-sync and I feel was probably the deciding factor. I can't say there's ever been another lip-sync in the history of the show that had me begging for an extended version.
If gay gods exist, please let me have an opportunity to see these two perform on the same stage in Canada.

sasha is something else. she brings a touch of brilliance to her movement that i have seen in very few lipsyncs ever...knows her body, knows her strengths, knows how to time it just right so that it sends shivers of frisson down your spine. i thought the same thing with their talent lipsyncs. anetra is incredibly polished and entertaining, knows how to make it a very fun party, but sasha is a storyteller like very few queens are. even with a song like this that isn't what i gravitate to normally she keeps me wanting more. spellbinding

Sasha eked it out right at the very end with that twerking, literally in the last 10 seconds, and even then, Anetra's well-timed dip and the way she leant down and pointed still made it decimal points apart from each other. All throughout, they were neck and goddamn neck.

This is when you use words like ICONIC without getting accused of hyperbole!! Sasha and Anetra have that thing you can't teach! When people are over the moon about a lip synch and I shrug and say something's missing, THIS IS MISSING!! This is not a lip synch to judge but a masterclass to absorb and relish in. These 2 are masters at what they do and their finely tuned instincts are what tells them just what the song needs. A skill that's in their blood that they obviously haven't taken for granted because they're pros first and foremost that've done their homework....there's still a song that they need to learn backwards and forewords so they're left to get carried away with their inevitable SLAYAGE!! I mean, how can you say one is better than the other? Sasha was the safer choice just to complete the game's requirements by bringing other factors into play but come on really, neither one could've made it any better than they did, they gave it everything and stayed on brand. In comparison to brilliant assassins from the past, they have that extra touch of magic that's void of desperation and urgency that we haven't seen at this caliber yet when it comes to musicality, flow and a specifically quiet and relaxed confidence that says as much as it needs to say and no more. 'Lip synch for your life' can look like 2 mins of manic chaos even when the performers are slaying because there's survival on the line and the scrambling still shows through the cracks.....but these 2 just cared about giving us a show, not outdancing one another. A new bar has been set and I can't wait to see what comes out of the woodwork now!!
