This is, honestly, one of the best lip syncs EVER on the show. No stunts, no tricks; just entertainment. They both slayed, but Ginj had me hollering. Mayhem holding her shoe at the end though, will forever be iconic.
Yes! It would have been fun even if they do these things on two different sides of the stage but by interacting and bouncing off each other it made it so much better!
This is a duet. Two smart performers who knew that in this instance they could create something together that would be more entertaining than they could individually. Fantastic! 👏

Like it's definitely not perfect and there have been some serious mistakes but the minute a fan favorite gets eliminated a certain segment of the fanbase gets pissy and declares the show to be dead and awful and comes up with the weirdest criticisms. My guess is some Scarlett fans were mad she got the chop thus they declared this lipsync boring and illegitimate.
@@melteddali8000 While I agree a part of the backlash might be related to Scarlett leaving, the reality is that these new drag fans tend to understand lip syncs must have 35 cartwheels, backbends, splits, dips, etc. to be considered good, since we haven't seen a performance like this in a while in Drag Race. Obviously there's place for every type of talent during a lip sync; in fact, acrobatics and vogue dancing go hand in hand. But to deem the latter "boring" or outright "bad" is a huge disservice to the club scene and LGBT culture.
The best thing about this lipsync is the connection between Ginger and Mayhem. Unlike the previous ones, you can see that they danced together as friends and is comfortable with each other. Previous lipsyncs looks like they're enemies trying to outdo each other (which is the purpose of it). However, having fun on stage is makes it great.
Came here to say this exact thing! I 100% believed the win was for someone on the best team. That being said- GINGER CAME THROUGH after seeing Jessica lipsync by herself in the last episode! And Maybem kept up the show too. *These* are the lipsyncs I need!
Honestly, Laganja's is obviously the most impressive this season but this one has to be my absolute favorite lipsync in a really long time. It's not just campy faces to a silly song. They both have such incredible rhythm, movement and timing. Might be one of my top 10 favorites of all time.

Contested win or not, this is what I wanted to see from Ginger so badly! This is where Gingers talents lie; Her unmatched professionalism and ability to create and put on a show. She is a PROFESSIONAL showbiz star. The investment it takes to not only know those words, but be able to ACT throughout the entire performance as well and put on a show that hilarious and on beat is what sets her apart from the rest for me. Tons of queens can flip and split and deathdrop to the beat of a song, but to be able to time your comedy while also mouthing those words, reading your opponents/partners energy and adjusting accordingly.. Ginger is a superstar. Through and through. Few queens could know those words that well AND put on a performance like Ginger can. And please give it up for Mayhem who gave us some CLASSIC lip sync artistry, she was so entertaining to watch too!

Honestly, Ginger is one of the best lip syncers. With the right song, she could easily win against the likes of Denali, Laganja, Alyssa, Yvie, etc. Being able to perform a successful comedy lip sync is difficult.

I keep coming back to watch this one! The shoe by Mayhem at the end is great but I love the way Ginj gets her head and wig to wobble - freaking brilliant! Best thing IMO is how they interact despite being in a competition they made it cohesive - so yasss one of the best lip syncs no doubt

I noticed that they do this with every lip sync since season 12. They release the video without showing the queens in the thumbnail and then they change it once the next episode comes out
They both did well but Ginger was spot on from beginning to end and that's why she won.
