Hi welcome to my channel, I hope the videos are of some help. Learning to ride has been fantastic & I'm lucky that my Son & Son in Laws include me in everything they do like the trip to Snowdonia. I hope to include more content on the channel as we get dryer weather as there is still a lot of adventures to come🏍😎
I have a 2016 1200T and agree that putting forward controls made all the difference in the world. Modified my seat as well. It’s a great bike for sure.
Hello Jay, I loved it. When I was at the dealership changing it for the Sport Glide I thought I may be making a massive mistake. When I bought it I wanted the chrome look and spent many hours sitting in the workshop just making it sparkle. Ride safe
Harley’s are so adaptable and easy to personalise to your own taste and look.Yours is,as you say two bikes in one.So pleased you enjoy it.A bold choice for your first ever motorcycle, but obviously the right one.The scissor jack is a worth while piece of kit,as I used to do all my own maintenance and repairs to my 48 it was invaluable. As for security you can only do as much as you can,I think you have all bases covered. Looking back it has been a strange year, not one any of us expected, but let’s all hope 2021 is more normal and we can put all this behind us. Thank you for your informative, interesting and enjoyable uploads on both your channels. All the very best to you and yours Martin for Christmas and the new year and I look forward to future content.👍🏼
Thanks Mr G, always a pleasure when you get in touch. I hope you & your family have a great Christmas & healthy new year. I Hope to get another video out on OCD before Christmas but it all depends on the weather and who's car I can borrow
Merry Christmas. I couldn't agree more mate. I bought mine on April 2019 for the looks, the sound, the brand and... because it's a 2 in 1 bike. Great for driving both in the city and touring on the countryside. Forward controls really take the riding experience to another level. I upgraded my pipes to 3inch Vance & Hines slip-ons, gives my bike a more vintage look. Love the windshield, specially during winter but causes buff on the top of my helmet when speeding.I changed one of the 4 clips that attach the windshield to the bike with one from the dealership that has a key lock on. It was too easy for anyone to steal it. The seat is very comfortable for rides up to an hour and a quarter (sometimes I can push it to an hour and a half) then I need to take a 5 min break to stretch. The adjustable rear suspensions really make a difference. The Evo engine runs great, although it's a little more vibrating than I would like to. I'm really jealous of your workshop, wish I had the space to build one. As for the security you could install a camera in/out of the workshop or/and a GPS tracker on the bike. Nikos, Greece
Hello Nikos and a very warm welcome to my channel. Thank you for taking the time to comment, much appreciated. I love your mod to swap a screen clip for a lockable one, what a great idea. It sounds like you have personalised you bike and the 3inch slip on are great👍. I have CCTV around the house but forgot to mention it. Both my seats are comfortable especially once I had them modified and I swap them around as I feel like it. I hope you find the channel helpful & I hope to do more on the channel next year. Have a great Christmas and a healthy new year. Stay safe & hope to see you in my workshop next year👍
Great video. Thank you. Excellent tip for garage parking using the front wheel stand. Something I was concerned about myself if I get a Sportster. Well done getting your licence. Better late than never, as they say. I'm still riding. 76 a week or so ago. Want to sell my BMW R1200gs Adventure and go for a Harley like yours, , if I can. As for the roller stand, I'm sure a use will present itself at some stage. Thank you again, and best wishes. Will watch out for more news. Cheers
Hi John, thanks for the comment. Now sold the Superlow although with a somewhat heavy heart and have the Sport Glide. Just a bigger version really. Its good to know being young isn't just for the youth🤣.Ride safe
Really pleased that you're finding the joy of biking, I've been riding since I was 16(53 now) and can't imagine not having a bike. My twin brother only passed his test 4 years ago and he wished he'd done it much earlier! Spring really can't come soon enough for me, here's looking forward to a great year on the bikes 👍
As always Barry, its good to hear from you. It hurts to put the bike away knowing Im not going to ride it for a while. Just don't know why I left it so long. Do you go out with your brother. Any plans for next year? Im looking forward making plans & riding with the boys next year. Until then, take care, be safe and have a great Christmas.
@@My_bike_and_me Hopefully a few camping trips for next year, covid permitting! Trying to persuade by brother to do it , love Wales so hopefully around that area 👍Have a great Christmas yourself Martin and keep up the good work, really enjoy both your channels 😀
On my heritage classic I converted it to have the bags removable. I got fed up with having to use a spanner to undo the nuts in the bag so I fitted some handwheel nuts that I used to tidy up the bolt shafts when the bags were off. Simple purchase from fleabay in imperial size.
Thanks for your support Stuart & yes got carried away with all the shiny things & bought just about everything I may not use🤷♂️ Looking forward to March👍
thanks Martin, much appreciated. My Son had the seat modified for his 48 but then decided he preferred it stock so I grabbed it. I just think it looks different but good to be able to change the look. The bikes up on a stand waiting for the winter to end. Thanks for supporting👍
Sweet ! I wonder if there's anything available in chrome to put over the bolts when you remove the bags, to give a more finished look. I'm now looking for an older Sportster and you've definitely swayed me towards the Superlow. I myself am a returning rider after over 40 years off bikes. I can relate. A beautiful machine. Enjoy and stay safe.
Cheers Bernard, I guess there must be chrome bolt covers just a case of finding them. I would guess HD could supply them but at crazy prices. There is so much you can do with a superlow, it really is a great bike. I go out a lot with my Son & Son in laws and they have 48s but always having to stop for fuel as their tanks are half the size of mine
Hi, I’m 5’6 & 160lb so you will have no issue with the Superlow. However I now have a Sport Glide that has the same 3 bikes in one so before you buy a Superlow I suggest you also test ride the Sport Glide. I loved my Superlow but the Sport Glide is on another level. It’s a bit heavier but so manageable. Let me know what bike you decide to go with and ride safe
@@JayyBird93 Its a lot smoother than the Superlow, much less vibration & handles like dream. For a big bike (300kg) the road handling is awesome & perfect for the longer trips
@@My_bike_and_me haha 😁 No, I meant do these have catalytic converters or mufflers removed? I can’t always tell from the the video how loud the bike is.
Hi, I meant to tell you about the issues I had after fitting the big radius. I had to change my foot controls to forward as the foot brake started to hit the exhaust as the brake pads started to wear. I cover it in a later video th-cam.com/video/1Yj0lET-SgE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DhhhLIMpybc1SeNI

Well done Sir You are an inspiration passing your test at 67.
I am 55 and was double minded. But you have inspired me.
