I love my 1200t. The only thing I would say is a must have is a new seat. I could hardly walk after riding with the stock seat for more than 4 hours. I purchased a Mustang seat. That made a huge difference!. I can ride it all day with that seat. I also bought the Vance and Hines pipes with a new computer. That made a big difference as well.

I’m picking up my 2014 1200T on Tuesday. Only 230 miles on the clock, so I shall have to run her in gently, but I am so looking forward to next summer.

Hi Russell. Nice one. Your going to have the time of your life if my experience is anything to go by. I've kitted mine out with a big top box and went on a big tour this Summer. Ferry to Jersey for several days. Then back to Portsmouth and up to the Brecon Beacons for several days. Then an 8 hour ride up through the Snowdonia National Park to North Wales for several days and then back down to the Mendips for several days. Rode through Cheddar Gorge. 1200 miles in 12 days. Awesome riding. Awesome weather. Awesome times. Met loads of bikers on the way. Some great friendly guys. Bike was faultless. You can ride a 1200t for hours fully loaded with no problems. One tip though. Keep on top of those bare aluminium wheels. I had to spend 12 hours getting mine polished back up to scratch at the beginning of this Summer. Harley do a treatment wet wipe to go over the bare aluminium after you have cleaned them. Keeps them looking good for longer. Mine has done 12,500 miles in 2 years without a hiccough. Ride Long and Prosper!

Questions ... I noticed even when my FOB is in my house I notice that the red light on the speedo blinks every now and then still (draining the battery ?). Also if I let the bike sit several days without rding it the battery goes almost dead, just barely being able to start. Once I rode it around for about an hour or more the battery was once again strong. I since have connected a battery tender when left parked. But I am concerned if I go on a long road trip without being able to plug in a battery tender that I may end up with a dead battery. Is there any way to get the bike to shut off completely ?
I noticed you are able to lock your windshield. I cannot (2015 model). It has no way of locking/securing the windshield when left parked.
Oh, and the other night I heard the bike calling out my name ! Does your's do that as well ?
Will let you know of other questions/things as I ride it more.

Hi White Rabbitt. On my bike the red light blinks on the speedo all the time I am not using it, whether the fob is near it or not. It shows that the alarm is armed. The difference is that on my bike it does not affect the battery even after a week of not starting it. I don't think the blinking red light is your problem. Seems to me you have either a faulty battery or it is not being charged properly. According to what you said it sounds as though the battery is losing its charge. Try a new battery or try taking the battery off and putting on a charger for 24hrs and see how it is then.

With regard to the locking windscreen. You have to get a clamp. that incorporates a lock. Mine cost me around £25.00

Hi White Rabbit. You made a good choice. I love my 1200t and have travelled far and wide. Did 9000 miles in the 1st year without so much as a hiccough. The other day I spent 6.5 hrs in the saddle with only a 1/2hr break with no ill effects. Travelled all the way from Ross-on-Wye down to Bristol and then all the way back to Hastings in East Sussex fully loaded up. Paniers full. Luggage rack full and large rucksack on my back. Easy. Couldn't get enough of it. Could have ridden all day.

Here is a link to the bike:
      baltimore.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2015-harley-superlow/6314646178.html
I offered her $7,000.00 USD and she accepted. Will not have the bike for a week +/- as she has to pay off what she owes on a loan she got for it first. She said she owed $8,000.00 USD. She broke her foot and has knee problems and that is why it has low mileage as well as her reason for selling it. I plan on adding a crash bar, passenger back rest and luggage rack. ANyways, there you go ... ;-)
*I also own a 2016 Motto Guzzi V7II (which I love and plan on keeping). I paid $6500 for it. The girl that owned it only put on 200 miles on its odometer when she sold it to me. It now has 5,000 miles on it. just saying
Do not be surprised if the link is no good. She may haave taken it down as she did sell it to me yesterday pending her getting a clear titel after she pays off her loan on it.

Yes I believe I did. Here are 3 photos of my new used, haha, HD Super Low 1200 (by the way, I paid $7,000.00 USD for it. The owner was asking $8,000 but accepted my offer of $7,000.00 (It only has 1000 miles on the odometer) :
