Love the Police Academy films. Sad to see so many of the cast have passed since the last film made in the early 90s. The franchise is the nearest the US/Canada has ever come to creating the essence of a Carry On film in the UK. Never get bored watching them. When I'm down I stick on Police Academy and laugh at the Blue Oyster bar scene lol.😂 👮♂️🚔🚨
George Gaynes spent 13 years in retirement before he died of natural causes in 2016. I loved watching him in "Punky Brewster" as well as all of the "Police Academy" movies.
Rest In Peace everyone. Thank you sooooo much for everything you have given us. We will never forget you. May you all gave neverending love and bliss in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Interesting facts about Rene Auberjonois and George Gaynes. On Rene's maternal side, his mother was a princess, his great great great grandmother was Napoleon Bonaparte's younger sister. Her husband was the first prince of Murat and became King of Naples. On Rene's paternal side his grandfather was the famed post impressionist painter Rene Auberjonois. George Gaynes was born as George Jongejans in Helsinki, Grand Duchy of Finland (when it was part of Russia) to a Russian mother of Finnish decent (later to become Lady Abdy) and a Dutch (Netherlands) father. He grew up in France, England, and Switzerland. Attended University in Switzerland and Briefly in Milan. After the Germans invaded and occupied France he fled to the Pyrenees (border of France and Spain) and was captured by Fascict Francoist (Spain under Franco) police. Released 2 yrs later he intended to return to the Netherlands and join the resistance but ended up in the UK where he joined the Dutch Royal Navy. Due to his fluency in speaking Dutch, English, Italian, French, and Russian; he was loaned out to the British Navy as a translator to the commodore aboard HMS Hilary that participated in Operation Husky (allied invasion of Sicily), next he was reassigned to HMS Wilton during the Battle of Anzio and then several battles in the Adriatic Sea during the Adriatic Campaign. He was honorably discharged in 1946 at the rank of Sargeant (equivalent of Petty Officer First Class).

You forgot one TAB THACKER. Thacker played the role of Tommy Conklin aka HOUSE he came in on Police Academy 4 and 5. I don't know if he ever came in 6 but, he's gone too.
Even though they died. It rather good to hear that mostly all pasted of natural causes, and not drug or suicide circumstances unlike most of today's entertainment actors or artists.
Tab Thacker who played Tommy “ House “ Conklin in the Police Academy movies died in 2007 from complications of diabetes at the very young age of only 45 but yea RIP to the others that were mentioned in the great underrated movie series

I just commented this above! I thought I was going mad, and was second guessing myself on this but I knew someone else would have commented this lol. I’d hardly call it a tragedy for those who lived until their 80s and 90s.
In the words of Chevy Chase in Fletch "but the end, the very end was very sudden."
Loved this movie!!!❤
David Graf died so young
At the age of 50, unfortunately 😢😢😢😢
His father and grandfather had the same heart condition and passed away around the same age as David.
R.I.P all of you amazing actor and thank you all for a great laughs back then and still to this day 🙂
I grew up on these guys can't believe so many off them are gone. Life
Comedy will always be my favo type of movie.

Christopher Lee was British born.
