Steve we really like your channel…probably one of the best truckin’ channels on the TH-cam…I like your tractor and that Cat! I drove COE’s in the late 70’s back when cabovers were so common….. I drove a Mack Cruiseliner with a Detroit 8V92TTA ….after watching your videos for a while now, I sometimes really miss those days….stay safe and hydrated and healthy out there and keep him (Orwell) between the lines….
If you ever stop in Yuma Az, there’s an old steam powered locomotive from the 1800’s you can check out plus other history on the boards you can read about there
Brings back some good memories! I stayed the winter of 76-77 in Sullivan with family. Helped my cousin with her pig farming and her friend's scrap metal business.
Steve my apologies/ I been working 💪on my truck train mission out / so been busy trying get it fixs its always something lol / yea if not 4 wheelers/ it's the 18 wheelers crazy / be safe Steve
I’m friends on Facebook with the new owner of that Freight Shaker from the show, ya some of the builds were out there, but it was a great show. Another friend has the dash Outta the Shaker on the sign in his Shaker Flat Bed. That truck up there in “Mob Sled”
Peace to you homie I watched the people's convoy yesterday and it was the best thing to see because of all the support . I said to one driver that God made Trucks then Truck drivers finally truckers are getting there glory back. .
Hi greeting from Sudan your truck is really cool my dad have one early 90s and i grow up hearing the beautiful sound of turbo charge cat engine keep it up it's really trucking with such old but powerful truck not like the new automatic semi trucks most of the guys driving now and called themselve a trucker ✌
Orwell’s been sounding good lately! Got all the engine problems fixed, huh? Good luck to your parents in Texas. Meanwhile, I’ll check in on your railroad channel too.
Hey Steve. Great video. Thanks for having the closed captioning on. Sometimes it's hard to hear you talking with the engine noise even with headphones on. Since you like trains check out Jawtooth and Wide World of Trains. They do N/S BNSF CSX CP and some smaller rr.
Both me and Jessie deal with that all the time (Begging Of The video) My late dad's mom lived in Buda. Allot of people when they hear that town they think it' spelled Budda actually it' spelled Buda. Hope u got a good heater system in that truck since it was cold then. It's warm here and we shot off the heater day's ago and we have the window's open and a few box fan's in the window's. We have central heat and air but we love fresh air. And will shut the windows and turn on the ac right about middle of April. If i am hauling a lift trailer i will raise it up a little to let the snow slide off if it's snowing. My mother in law goes did he lose any those video camera's yet and i said dunno. And she goes good. She loves watching ur videos also.
When you visited Strasburg did you get into the RR Museum of PA across the street from the RR Station? My Grandfather's name is up on the wall of retirees.
Steve when you come off the throttle to catch the next gear, the turbo makes the sweetest sound. It makes me want to get my ass back on the road! You honestly put out the best trucking content on TH-cam driver. Don’t change a thing. Love seeing you work on Orwell in the shop also. Keep on keeping on friend!
Hey Steve been watching your channel for awhile now and live right down the road from the yard in West Bend. I'm in Jackson which you pass through on a regular basis. I'm surprised I've never seen you passing by lol. Anyway quick question for ya. How do u stay warm in the cab in the winter without running the motor? I did some over the road for 9 months about 2 years ago and drove a 2013 389 long nose Pete with a big sleeper and thanked the lord it had a decent running tri pack / epu to keep the sleeper nice and cozy in the freezing winter. I don't know how you do it? Lol... I'm actually a machinist by trade and decided to get my cdl on one of my many layoffs and only drove for 9 months but miss many things about trucking. It was a real eye opener especially when I first started man. They threw me right into the deep end for someone with no experience at all. But it definitely made me better waaaaaay quicker that's for sure.
I am not Steve but here is one way to stay warm. Install a dedicated large deep cycle battery that will charge but does not drain the main batteries. Buy a single bed sized electric blanket for under your covers. Run it just enough to stay warm. Put your shoes (in a plastic bag) under the covers with your clothes. Get dressed under the covers when you get up. If you started the truck engine when you first woke, it should be getting warm when you get up. Make sure the trans is in neutral before you go to bed!
Looking to get my CDL. Been cut from unemployment CDL training programs, TWICE(!) Know any good schools that are legit or maybe one of the large carriers for training?
@B Thanks for the reply, apricated it. When I was on the unemployment program to get my CDL, the school asked us to get two employment acceptance letters, one from Trans Am and the other from Werner. All new to me, but I got cut from the program. So I'm still looking. Thanks again.
@@fsctrucking by the way do not change the way you film for your channel. It is perfect 👌. No BS just the job and your input here and there. One thing I would like as an OO starting to learn and work on their truck more. If you did how to on the mechanics side that would be amazing.
you are a jrsey boy, of course you are not a fan of blimpie..but, get toa firehouse subs in Georgia or elsewhere.. you will notice a difference..lol..still not like the subs from a Jersey pizza place but..
A mention of all the gauges, switches and air controls and their function would be great. Please point to each item as you explain the function.

I went to college in Joplin Missouri. Ozark Bible Seminary.
Just started watching this video and I know the exact roads you will take to avoid the turnpike. I live less than an hour from the I-44 corridor.
I will get you video of the railroad going over the wolf river. It just got to late in the year last year to get one. Summer is coming!

Great video Steve really enjoy all the camera angles and the commentary. Your comment on that JB Hunt was funny stay safe.
Good opening speech !!!
Orwell had a sort of grinding sound in the cab that i don't normally hear while you are driving.
just an observation.
Buda pronounced Byew-da. Safe travels driver.
7:22 What happens when a JB Hunt truck leaves the truck stop?
Two spots open up.
21:57 Go through the drive through.
I bet cabovers are even colder in the winter when the door seal is not sealing. ;-)

What kind of mpg do you get loaded vs unloaded? With the cost of fuel right now, 3/4/22, it has to eat into your profit.

What oil are you running in it?
@@fsctrucking engine oil is Rotella. Transmission oil was changed at Freightliner so whatever their shelf stuff is. Not sure off hand.
