Vongon really makes some amazing sounding pedals and they got the pricetag to match. I think I might need the Ultrasheer. Really great demo. If I could afford it, you'd've impacted my purchase decision.
Great review! I am having an issue with Polyphrase specifically with ping pong delay summing into mono when I using stereo in/stereo out. Stereo still works but ping pong synced mode does not. When using mono in/stereo out ping pong works as it should. Seems to be an issue with the IN R input in configuration with the sync ping pong feature. Have you experienced the same issue? If not, could you try and let us know? I wonder if it’s just my pedal or an engineering oversight.
As a disappointed Vongon purchaser Thank you for this insight. It was reading this comment that made me realise why I couldn't get the ping pong as suggested. Had I have known I wouldn't have bought this pedal. I truly feel a bit 'stooged.' I love delay and have owned several that inspire, Lexicon PCM 81 rack unit, The Pete Cornish T.E.S. The Toneczar Echoczar and Angel baby, The Free The Tone Future factory, the EHX Deluxe memory man 1100 with the original chips. When I run mono in stereo out there is also a difference in the overall volume output. It looks beautiful, sounds amazing, but for the price I paid in Australia $729 AUD this was so frustrating and disappointing as I love running a Wet/ Dry/ Wet set up. Vongon got so many things right, but I am really disappointed as I bought this based on clips, features, aesthetics only to be majorly disappointed. Sorry Vongon, but I wish I knew then what I know now. 😞
So you returned it? In your opinion though, in terms of fidelity and sound quality + modulation and delay times, did you think it was excellent? Or are there better delays that can do what this does?@@strings2wood

I just tried this and you are correct. Ping Pong while synced using Stereo Input does not work.
Isn't that because of sides cancelling out? The same thing happens with Walrus D1 delay.
