I love my Breville! I food prep for the whole week on the weekends with it.
What I like very much is the dicer, it chops bell peppers, potatoes, carrots,
beets, etc, into nice squares in seconds. Expensive but such a time saver,
especially when making dough in a few seconds!! Love ur videos, thanks for sharing:)
That's awesome! Thanks for the great comment! - J
Suppose you get what you pay for
I would agree. Marc
Thank you for your presentation. I don't particularly appreciate watching someone open the box to get things out. Then, the slow process of getting to the meat of what we all want to know.
Thanks for watching and your point of view. Marc
I just bought the ninja professional. But Amazon charged me $169.99 Canadian in June of 2023. I am a hand washer so hopefully I won't get a bunch of water stuck in the handle. Time will tell. It is the 1st. time I have ever bought a food processor. I'm looking forward to life ahead with it.
Let us know how it goes ! Marc
I use mine to make hummus and it does a great job.$79 at Walmart.
I’d like to see a comparison between that Breville 16 c. And the Breville 12 c. I know the 16 cup one has the accessory kit and the 12 cup doesn’t, but I’d like to see if the actual 12 cup machine works as well as the 12 cup one.
We'll see what we can do. Thanks for watching! - J
The price of the Breville is actually extremely cheap for what you get. If you want anything with similar performance, you will end up spending $1,500.00 or more on a Robot Coupe. This is a no-brainer.
I agree. I absolutely love my Breville!! Marc
Eh. I'm pretty happy with the Ninja as a home chef, if you're a pro then I can see you buying a Breville.
Should have done something to compare the power. Bread dough comes readily to mind, but there are other things that stress motors heavily.
That's a good tip for next time. Thanks for watching! - J
The slicing attachment works way better for cole slaw than the shredding attachment.
Good tip, thanks for watching! - J
i have disability that affects my hands (so chopping) so i'm looking at getting the Breville with my funding as i love cooking and i dont want to give it up. the dicing function would be amazing
The Breville is a fantastic product ! You wouldn’t be disappointed. Marc
It's great for batch preparation, but if you only need one onion chopped for example, it's overkill and those plastic boxes of blades you need to lean on are probably a better option, although you still have to clean a lot of parts regardless of what you use. If you're happy to put a whole pack of onions in there and freeze what you don't need, it's an excellent option. I'm trying to avoid paying a small fortune for a carer to "help" me prepare food for an hour a day and I really feel that a freezer full of already prepared ingredients is the best way to do it.
Excellent video!
Thanks !! Marc
I would've like to see a comparison between Breville and Ninja Pro XL.
We'll see what we can do. Thanks for watching! - J
I bought my ninja pro because I make a lot of doughy things in it. Love it!! But, that blade could be considered a deadly weapon😳😳😂😂😂😂
I'd love to get one to also make bread dough with. Could you repeat the video with doughs? And maybe cheese grating too... thanks :)
Thanks for the comment and watching. We’ll put it on our list. Our first ever review was on the Breville. We grated cheese. Check it out !
Marc
I will. It's hard as a single person to buy food, let alone appliances. America's Test Kitchen recommended a 14cup Cuisinart. Way overkill. Figured I could get a food processor to make doughs too, so I don't have to also get a stand mixer. Thanks for the canadian links. Much appreciated. @@TheAverageKitchen
Let us know what you get and how you like it !! Marc
Nice review
Thanks ! Marc
What a great through review
Thanks so much ! Marc
I have the magimix here in the u.k excellent piece of equipment 😊
Oh awesome !! I’ll have to research that ! Marc.
@@TheAverageKitchen I have it, it's a french brand and is an excellent one too 🙂
Nice !! Marc
Some have complained of mold in the water in the handle
I could definitely see that. Drives me nuts that water gets trapped in there. Marc
Very good review
Thanks so much! - J
@@TheAverageKitchen yw. I'm going with the Breville Sous Chef , 12 cup. The higher price will be worth it. Your video confirms it. Other folks who did comparisons, the Breville was the overall winner!
How's the cleaning on the Breville? Does the shaft trap food and thus need to be removed?
Cleaning is a breeze. Had it for 3yrs and use it all time. Get what ya pay for I guess !!
the real test for these items is going to be , can it make a mayo or do the blades miss the yolks and fail , can it make pesto , these type of items , shredding and chopping and all this , anyone who spends any time in the kitchen can do this by hand , get by with a blender , this isn't a 5 star restaurant , its a home kitchen , the real need most people have is making emulsifications or making a smooth sauce , and , can that same device be used to make pastes like a ginger garlic paste , this is the real concern and no videos are hitting the mark , sadly I don't live a life where I can just buy food processors which is why I am trying to find one that will from someone before spending the cash
Sorry to disappoint! - J
The problem with Breville is they have horrible customer service. They also don't stock parts for the older models. Better get the latest and greatest and hope they don't come out with a newer model because if you crack a bowl or something... you won't be able to get ahold of customer service and/or purchase a part.
We haven't had to deal with Breville customer service so that's a bummer for sure. - J
I bought Ninja Professional Plus Food Processor for specially for making PURIES only.
But the hell this food processor....not making PURIES for even vegetables.
Ninja compny.
I will never bought anything from this brand now.
That sucks! - J
