Could you test a readylight compared to other thorium mantles?

Would be a good time to share a tip on safety, when you are done working with mantles thorium or yitrium wash your hands. How many times have we eaten a sandwich for lunch while prepping camp for night.

For sure! Also, just generally a good idea to wash your hands in camp, amirite?

Very interesting.. am I the only one that won't put silkys on my lanterns? I just save them. Use the new ones for testing..but they still work and why ruin them?

I will put silkies on, but only if the lantern is running right. Usually that can be checked without a mantle. Silkies really do look nice when trying to go for that period look, like on a slant or 242. They do have a special color to them too, a bit more green tinged than the Peerless Thorium mantles. I've got a few stashed now, so I can burn a few. Most useless mantle is one that never gets used. :)

Good afternoon. Very interesting video. Please take the camera off your head. I'm still dizzy...

Haha, yeah, I get that. Sometimes the head cam is a bit much. I should put a warning to "take your dramamine now!" at the front of the video. Good point though. That camera does have stabilization and I don't have that turned on right now. I'm sure that'd help quite a bit.

@@gasunderpressure9131 I like to see people in videos. The hands only people are fine, put putting yourself into the shot makes it personal. I really enjoined your videos more when they had two cameras. On the other hand you have the best, most learned and authentic GPA videos on TH-cam.

@@joseph011558 I appreciate the feedback! Main reason for the single shot in this video is because Camera 2 was focused on the phone screen providing that live readout in the upper corner. Future vids will be back to the traditional 2 camera setup.
