The way Nuchy educated Ton that girls just don't get angry only because of her period was such a great scene!
But that girl is also annoying and rude, the way she asked Ton to shut up. She can simply move away or use a more friendly word to ask Ton lower his voice, but she is like being forced in their group.
Lol, the way she asked Ton why he didn't ask Kuea the same question though...

I feel the scene with Nuchy is quite important.
I have been having the feeling that girl characters in many BL's are portrayed as immature, some even as jealous psychos, some as pathetic characters.
I feel ladies deserve way more respect from the genre. So this is important. Well done to Cutie Pie for sort of subtly but sort of directly and strongly address this issue.

We all know in THIS SPECIFIC GENRE, girls/women are portrayed and treated like shit. And that's the point of this comment, was to highlight what happens in this genre.
Exactly! Recently saw Tonhon Chonlantee, and thought it would be at least alright, since it's relatively new and by GMMTV, butt boi was I wrong. That ex girlfriend was an insult to every female on this planet, honestly.
On the other hand (gotta keept the positivity or whatnot), seeing the female roles in Not Me and Bad Buddy was such an uplifting development! A show can have female characters - even if they're either important roles or potential love interests/jealousy reasons, or even both at the same time - without putting that character down, or making them shallow!
(Aka a big fat "Yass!", to women seeing the boy they like is not interested and going, "Aight, I'm hurt, butt I'm not pathetic so I won't run after him", or the girl actually plain-out telling one of the main characters: "Sorry, butt I'm not interested--", we stan.)
@@fangurks Oh my goodness. She was ATROCIOUS! Other horrible female characters are the ridiculous rude psycho girl in My Day (Phillipines) and then in some Vietnamese BL's, the ladies are portrayed as REALLY bad.

One thing that is true of Tonhon, and of most other BL's, the mothers are generally amazing.
Chon's mom was a KWEEEEEN!
As was Kao's mom in DBK.
Of course there are amazing girl characters in BL's, like the friend in SCOY, and lets not forget KWEEEEEN PEARL in Gameboys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I definitely agree! Their relationship feels is so very real that if feels really comfortable to watch them. I love the fact that Diao does not behave like he is being forced or coaxed into intimacy with Yi and that after he was acting natural and wanted to cuddle. After these scenes they have become my favorite couple.

12 weeks really just passed by like that. Here we are on episode 11 and everyone doesn't want it to end yet. We are not ready. This series really brings the best of the best in production, acting, camera works, cutting, OST, direction, just everything is perfect. It has been a great honor to be together in this journey with Cutie Pie.

I really appreciate the fact that Kuea tried to hold back from crying to his mother on the phone and pretend like he's okay so she wouldn't worry. I think we all do that sometimes so I really love how they incorporated that litlle detail in the show and NuNew acted it out so well! He is such a star.

The way kuea just took a deep breath, smiled and pretended nothing ever happened.. damn
Let's applaud the writers of the series for including these short but very important scenes to educate on prejudices and rude ways of speaking your mind. During the last episode NuKuea made it clear that he's uncomfortable with his friends making jokes about his private life with his fiancé. And it is totally okay to be direct with your friends and communicate truthfully instead of carrying this burden and ignoring it just for the sake of pretending everything is alright. They did it in such a nice way where Ton explains his point of view and understanding in the end.
And now this scene where Nuchy explains why it is rude and disrespectful to speak like this to women. Just because she is annoyed or emotional doesn't mean for Ton to pry about her private matters and speak his mind out loud in front of everyone. Again, I want to emphasise just how brilliant and aware these screenwriters and the director are. This just sets the bar for new BLs so high and I absolutely love what Cutie Pie is doing here! Bravo!

As Cutie Pie is coming to an end next week I just wanted to acknowledge and pay tribute to the whole crew for this masterpiece P’Aof, P’Kla… I've never watched any Asian drama / any BL drama in my whole life but when I’ve discovered Cutie Pie I instantly fell in love with the show. I would wait for Saturday so hard, as I couldn’t find the quality and statements of Cutie Pie in any other drama. I’ve learn a lot about the BL industry throughout the weeks and I’m super happy that P’Aof decided to do a show that highlights the struggle surrounding LGBTQIA+ rights and not just queerbait about them.
Can we also talk about the very talented NuNew who just proved that he can basically do anything perfectly ? Sing, dance, act, talk 5 different languages… It was his very first role and he nailed it ! Zee is phenomenal as well ! He portrayed many different kinds of feelings in a very cold-hearted character, which is very difficult to do, and the chemistry between him and NuNew is HUGE ! I really hope they’ll do many more shows together !
I’ll miss so much about this ! I really wish they could do a special EP because this series is everything.

The way he held the phone, trembling voices talking, tears running from both his eyes, and momentarily pulling off the phone from his ears, perfectly expressed those heart-breaking, worrying but at the same time trying to hide those emotions from NuKuea's mom during the conversation. Big applause to NuNew and the production team!!!❤❤❤

I am so mindblown by how much I fell in love with this series. It's the highlight of my every week. I'm so grateful that I started watching it when episode 1 came out. I've watched a lot of Thai dramas before but I never fell in love this hard. The whole cast is so amazing, the acting is superb. I really don't want it to end and even though we still have one episode to go, I'm hoping for season 2 already 🙏

I just realised something. Since he found out about this, he hasn’t really smile anymore but only fake bitter or sad smile only. The kind that breaks your heart seeing it. So when he said he’ll act clueless or that he’ll be happier not knowing at all, I agree with him since no one tells him anything anyway. Like P’Aof said, sometime ignorance is bliss and you don’t have say everything out like it’s a must cause that’s a very realistic situation in real life. Not for his sake only but for Hia and mom too.
NuNew is really a great actor. The ‘must not let mom know I’m crying’ scene is not easy. Quivering lips or hiccup and his empty sad eyes is very realistic. He did it in just one take. Bravo!!! All of his crying scenes are all different according to different emotions. 🫡🫡🫡

Episode 11 is the ending?
Seeing Kuea smile even when there's something bothering him means that sometimes the happiness that peoples see in us doesn't really mirror our struggles in life that qe tend to hide. We would rather radiate a positive energy to people around us rather than showing that we are having a hard time. That's why sometimes a simple how are you can make the day of somebody who's silently fighting.

Cutie Pie could be used in a communications skills course. I'm impressed that teachable moment where Nuchy schools Ton on how rude and sexist it is to assume /ask a girl who is not chatty or who is upset whether she's on her period. I'm glad that they actually explain to him (rather than just scold him) and use comparisons e.g. his contrasting response to quiet Kuea, so he learns why it's wrong. 👏🏾👍🏾
So sad 1 more episode to go. Would be nice if we could get a 2 hr special , especially a wedding. (So many lovely scenes in the book)

Is no one going to talk about NuNew's phone scene with his mother, it was beautifully moving, his tears and sobs, his whole execution of that scene was Holywood quality. Nunew is going to be big big big in the entertainment industry!
Comprendo cómo se siente Kuea, todos intentan ocultarle la verdad con tal de que su felicidad no se vea afectada, como si aun tuvieran que seguirlo cuidando y no poder formar parte de las situaciones familiares. Es super confuso porque ya sabes la verdad, pero el resto no te lo quiere decir, el conflicto de aparentar no saber nada o ir a confrontar la verdad, es complicado, pero siempre creo que es bueno hablar las cosas por más dolorosas que sean. Espero que puedan pronto contarle todo, porque lo único que genera este círculo es que se sienta más inseguro.
Por otro lado, me encantó como Nuchy puso en su lugar a su amigo al decirle que se enojaba por su periodo, es demasiado sexista ese tipo de comentarios.
