Tested the FC30 few days ago and (just for my thumbnail) I also sat on the drone. The whole flight I imagined what would happen to your knees and legs on a harsh landing, not even a crash ;)

@@nuWayAg I believe that is correct. A drone is, by FAA definition, an UNMANNED Aircraft (that is Pilot Not on board). Once the craft is piloted by an on-board human, then it becomes a manned aircraft. Check for the "Experimental" manned aircraft regulations.
@@buddyadkins2432 This has been attempted before, its still unmanned. The controls are not part of the craft.

It will return to home on loss of signal or after either drone or controller battery is low like the smaller drones do.
@@loveaviation two issues. One: how high is your return to home altitude? probably high for safety, so when it auto flies it doesnt hit any obstacles. Two: what if the remote lands on the front side, the ground would push on the control sticks. Either youll fly 40 mph into a tree, or you will climb altitude until it hits the 500 meter limit, slowly guiding you to your death.
@@herobrine00700 I have mine set for 180feet that way it clears any trees in most areas I fly. yes the sticks can be moved if the controller falls but the chances of this happening is low. Depending on where this happens it is possible that the controller will destroy itself on impact. DJI does not make products to survive a drop. They would be happy to sell you replacements 🙂

For a drone to become a suitable manned aircraft, it might need a small cabin and seat for the pilot protection and comfort, some instruments and flight controls similar to a helicopter or normal drone controls
Due to the drone type airframe, these systems are fly by wire, also it might need an extra battery for emergencies and allow the aircraft to land safely with a person on board
Despite this video was an April's fools, the manned quadcopter migh become a reality soon or later
