also, I noticed King Dedede isn't actually portrayed as a villain in this. He does not have a dark gun, and is collecting people as trophies to use as a last resort. King Dedede must have knew to a certain extent what was going to happen, so he helps the heroes, and even convinces the villains to team up with the heroes in order to defeat a common enemy. So, Dedede is actually a hero in this story. It just takes a little thought.
Man, they don't even need to make a "new" Subspace mode, just remaster this one for Ultimate and add a few more plotlines for the newer characters. It'd be stellar.

Brawls story imo was just amazing. I remember playing it as a kid and it always was fun to watch and play, the cutscenes, all of it, it was just so cool. I like it better than Ultimates because there looks like there’s a little more unique stuff in brawl like more bosses, cutscenes, enemies, and puzzles/mazes. I mean Ultimate does have the spirits and all that, and I’m not saying ultimate is bad, I really like it too, I’m just saying I prefer brawls story. Thanks for reading ;)

This game is so iconic. I'd guess it was one of the last of its time, before microtransactions and online became a requirement. Not saying online and microtransactions make a game bad, but now it's running the place. I miss these days...
Online gaming is good but I will say it’s only downside is people not playing together in the same room as one another. Microtransactions are fine as long as they’re purely cosmetic, or don’t give all the rich players an unfair boost over those who actually play to unlock stuff.
It's amazing that if you put all the cut scenes together they make a 50 min video, and algorithms alternate cut scenes are a thing, if you select another character. Sakurai is a god
Back when this game came out, I was blown away with the quality of the animation of this game. Before that all we had was Melee and the original N64 game.

@@timtimothy5405 I'd say it's mostly the art-style, it's more apparent with Palutena at 3:40 the face structure and general look is more "realistic" in terms of it's shape whereas Ultimate (and Wii-U) went for the typical anime style with doll-like faces and cutesy big eyes. Perks with that is that it looks good even without too much polish.
I know I would cry if the new smash 5 had such depth and backstory to all those characters it boasts. I remember being young and telling all my friends "brawl has everybody!" But a whole new world now in 2018 better deliver on all those emotional moments with everyone's favorite characters in even more challenging scenarios than we could have dreamed.

@@timtimothy5405 I'd say it's mostly the art-style, it's more apparent with Palutena at 3:40 the face structure and general look is more "realistic" in terms of it's shape whereas Ultimate (and Wii-U) went for the typical anime style with doll-like faces and cutesy big eyes. Perks with that is that it looks good even without too much polish.
I know I would cry if the new smash 5 had such depth and backstory to all those characters it boasts. I remember being young and telling all my friends "brawl has everybody!" But a whole new world now in 2018 better deliver on all those emotional moments with everyone's favorite characters in even more challenging scenarios than we could have dreamed.
