I seriously just watched the whole thing, even though I told myself I wouldn't. Brawl had it's flaws, but subspace... damn that was good.

Is so good, all the characters have objectives in this story:
-Lucas: Get revenge for Wario and overcome his fear.
-Pokemon Trainer: Capture Charizard and Squirtle, and help Lucas to overcome his fear.
-Meta Knight: Recover his ship that was be stoled.
-Link: Save Zelda.
-Mario: Save Peach.
-Diddy Kong: Save DK and take revengo for Bowser.
-Fox: Help Diddy to get together to DK.
-Samus: Recover her suit.
-Pikachu: Help Samus, because she help him to escape.
-King Dedede: Save all the people from Tabuu with his brooch.
And more paralel histories that became one at the end. AMAZING

also, I noticed King Dedede isn't actually portrayed as a villain in this. He does not have a dark gun, and is collecting people as trophies to use as a last resort. King Dedede must have knew to a certain extent what was going to happen, so he helps the heroes, and even convinces the villains to team up with the heroes in order to defeat a common enemy. So, Dedede is actually a hero in this story. It just takes a little thought.
Lauren Sprungl not only that, he grabs LUIGI of all people... somebody showed faith in Lugi.
This gets deeper when you realise that Sakurai himself voices Dedede, so in a sense he is the one who unites all of these characters

@@timtimothy5405 I'd say it's mostly the art-style, it's more apparent with Palutena at 3:40 the face structure and general look is more "realistic" in terms of it's shape whereas Ultimate (and Wii-U) went for the typical anime style with doll-like faces and cutesy big eyes. Perks with that is that it looks good even without too much polish.
Fun fact: Wario’s physical design was inspired by Stromboli from Pinocchio. That’s why Wario kidnapped Ness.

It shows an amazing fight between a huge ship and the Halberd, the latter gets a huge load in its face and splits into 4 tiny teen ships who all aim for the Big Black Cannon.
But then, out of nowhere, a petite pink ball goes for it first and makes it explode inside a gaping hole. It's a fascinating scene, really.
By the way does anyone know what Snake said when he first appeared? As far as I know the only words spoken were attacks (like PK Thunder and Aether) but he might have said something else.
Edit: he says "Kept you waiting, huh?" And that's the ONLY line of dialogue in subspace emissary that's not an attack's name.

Best thing to watch when bored. You begin to fan girl/boy over your favorite characters and you make everyone else around you uncomfortable and that’s amazing.
Brawls story imo was just amazing. I remember playing it as a kid and it always was fun to watch and play, the cutscenes, all of it, it was just so cool. I like it better than Ultimates because there looks like there’s a little more unique stuff in brawl like more bosses, cutscenes, enemies, and puzzles/mazes. I mean Ultimate does have the spirits and all that, and I’m not saying ultimate is bad, I really like it too, I’m just saying I prefer brawls story.

Online gaming is good but I will say it’s only downside is people not playing together in the same room as one another. Microtransactions are fine as long as they’re purely cosmetic, or don’t give all the rich players an unfair boost over those who actually play to unlock stuff.
Not a single line of dialog is spoken, yet it's still a far more engaging story mode than Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.

Heck people kept begging for Sakurai and the team to make another story since SSB4 came out and now since this "Spirit" mode has been rumored around to be a story mode, people indicate tht it could be something grabbing spirits from characters. We will wait and see wht's in store until the next Nintendo Direct update.

Back when this game came out, I was blown away with the quality of the animation of this game. Before that all we had was Melee and the original N64 game.
