What brushes are you using? They seem to keep quite a nice point when using the speed paints. My brushes seem to swell up and lose their point when using contrast/speed paints.

Honestly, after Bloodbowl, it might be my favourite game to play. I’ve had a few games now and I love the randomness of it and how dynamic it feels. Really easy to pick up and play

I'm glad you mentioned putting them together, I find a lot of modern kits take a long time to assemble and clean up before painting and it usually just gets swept under the rug with people doing all of that stuff and priming the minis and then starting their speed painting as though that part of the process isn't something that can eat up days, which can give people a false idea of how long it can take to get good results. I can spend hours sometimes just removing mould lines, and assembly has gone from being an obvious thing to something that requires checking numbers as each part is specific for the pose, which I feel was less of an issue with older minis. I could usually just cut all the bits off the sprues of my old stuff and put them together without looking at any instructions when I was a kid, but would have no hope of doing that these days (old guy rant, I know).
@@ThePickleJar I had a friend who lives at the opposite end of the country buy a bunch of minis and invite me to visit and do some painting, and I had to say to him beforehand "you're gonna need to assemble them and remove the mould lines before I get there, otherwise we'll spend all day doing that instead of painting" as boring as it is, it's a vital part of the process, especially nowadays as kits are so much less generic.

They look class. I'm really bad at finishing a project. I have loads of half competed armies as something new and shiney always comes along. Ah well, no harm
