I like how at 40:00 the translation says "We know that people would like to have more music from this series in this game." but what he actually says in Japanese is "There were certainly people saying that Square-Enix were being stingy." (in regards to only 2 tracks coming with Cloud originally.)
@@DefinitiveDubs I don’t know actually, that’s just what I picked up while listening to it in the background while working in my office. Gave me a laugh how tame the subtitles were though.
Regardless of whichever character gets announced, each DLC fighter gets so much love and attention to detail it's mind-blowing how it all ties together when you actually PLAY the character.
Correct. People upset about Steve actually enjoyed playing as him because of how true to character he was/is. They put so much effort and love into these characters. They deserve to be commended for that alone.
Agreed, it's amazing the amount of detail they put into them and I've been enjoying the last few quite a bit honestly. Sephiroth has been like, wow...he's great.
For those who are curious:The "Cosmo Canyon" Remix was done by Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts Series,FF15,Street Fighter 2) and the Aerith Theme was done by Keiichi Okabe who composed the Nier Soundtracks.
@@Ayoul yup! It's more noticeable with the Masamune but go pick up Mario/Samus/Falcon in any of your old Smash games and try it out with diagonal inputs! Great for edge guarding!
There are two kinds of reactions, the FFVII fans that are stoked at everything Sakurai threw in to reference the game and please fans or the competitive smash community crying about melee and Sephiroth’s competitive viability
Sakurai, when it comes to adding characters, is always fun first, fun (or legacy) second, and competitive viability a distant third. Sure, nerfs and buffs happen, but it's always LATER. And I love it.
Godddd, now I want to get a wii just for this game. This is more FFVII than the FFVII Remake. The characters even are more well designed here, I think. It just has the more classic look and feel. I just love everything about this holy hell. How on earth were they able to add so much FFVII to this? And why??? Were fans demanding?
Did anyone notice Aeris (YEAH AERIS. I DON'T CARE WHAT REMAKE SAYS) carrying the fire flower? And cloud tossing a barrel down to her outside a church-y looking place? I don't even play smash but that's great attention to detail :)

Also: The FF7 Main Theme remix was done by Motoi Sakuraba, most notably the composer of the Tales Of and Dark Souls series.
@@Nouxatar that's why I got that Tales of Vibe from the Remix.
Man I love these remixes, it’s possibly my favorite part of smash.
34:30 when he's doing the F-air stabs on Dracula it practically looks like he's playing Castlevania
LOL! Sakurai = epic jolly in this episode. The trolls, the dry jokes. Gotta love that guy.
Sidenote: Sephiroth = insane character. Man what a treat!
This character is so fun to play as.
No
@@kob4918 why?
Is he out yet?
How would you know, it wasn’t live yet....
You can unlock him early right? Via the Sephiroth challenge.
You need to have the dlc or the fighter pack though to have the challenge.
Sakurai: "Marx split apart"
A few seconds later
"I didn't do it" 😂
"Oh, it's not today."
Well, no, but actually yes.
"I think he might be one of the most well-know villains in video games, ASIDE FROM BOWSER"
15:00 You've been able to angle/aim certain forward tilts and forward smash attacks since Smash began, FYI
What?!
But I guess it's worth pointing out here since the reach makes such a big difference.

I just beat Very Hard Sephiroth Challenge, but only by cheesing it with Incineroar's Cross Chop.
Gotta love supernova
How long is Sephiroth's sword?
MS: About 3 kirbys
I only have 5 days to see if Terry can beat Sephiroth?
If you have the DLC and do the Sephiroth challenge you can unlock him already. You can do it!

What does Damiani say at 44:14?
I only understand "technical difficulties".
