Sakurai was saying that you can ignore the knockback because of super armor, but that you can't _negate_ damage, so be mindful about your percentage when you're thinking about trading blows. Cause your wing DOES go away eventually, & you don't wanna be at a higher percentage than need be when it goes away.

My friend and I watched the reveal, and I still stand by the fact that (with team attack on) a doubles match with Fox and Sephiroth is a great use of Shadow Flare. Hit your friend, they can just waltz on up to people and damage them, then reflect the left over shadow blasts. Rinse and repeat

I feel for The Geno Fans they're in the same boat as The Travel Fans those Mii Fighter Costumes are important been keeping an eye on those every Sakurai Presents they can make or brake a character this time it was Geno. Northern Cave looks amazing it being a travel stage is perfect for it, out of the 3 costumes of Cloud's friends that Barret one is very pog definitely looking forward to trying Sephiroth out. I am beyond happy we got new tracks & they can be available at Midgar just excellent.
Geno didn't get updated, Sora's absolutely gone if Sakurai's words regarding copyright disputes are anything to go off of, the odds of another Square Enix character getting in is basically zero now... Sephiroth's gameplay is cool and the added tracks are stellar, but the casualties were a high price.
Well, it's been real guys. I kind of hoped that Geno would have gotten the "deluxe" treatment like Sans and Cuphead, giving him a mask instead of a hat and maybe a song, but at the very least, this costume seems to be a bit more detailed than the one in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/Nintendo 3DS. It was always a pipe dream to begin with, anyway. All we can do now is hope that, if and when the next Smash Bros. comes around (it feels inevitable at this point), Sakurai, Nintendo, and Square Enix can work something out and finally make him playable. Until then, let's keep wishing on those seven stars. #OperationStarFall #GenoForSmash

I'm happy that I get some version of him to play as and a Mii Fighter can serve as a decent stand-in for him in a battle a heck of a lot more convincingly than someone like Travis or Heihachi.
Here's a little dirty secret: Only American fans care about Geno. He's not that popular in Japan, and Europeans straight don't know who he is since Super Mario RPG wasn't released there.
Tbh, because i played the game as a kid, i wanted Geno to be a deluxe mii costume after we knew we could get them. I'm sad we got just a copy-paste. But i get he didn't have the same chance for the fighters pass as most other characters people want.
Geno is not deconfirmed yet. Costumes and Spirits don't deconfirm characters, only Assist Trophies. We had a Min-Min spirit before she became a character. And we have character costumes from actual fighters.
