@@rodrigosarzo I mostly stuck to wide angle lenses, there was a super crisp 10-20 that I used for most shots and then a something to 35. Hahaha It wasn't my gear and I only had about an hour with it, so I can't remember. lol Thanks for watching though! Hope you enjoyed the vid!
Good stuff. I think if you would have hit the music beat with the transition and a funky transition or two would have made a big difference. I liked your music choice much better. What a cool opportunity to do that and not knowing anything about mountain biking, even better job.
I love this series so much! I love seeing the difference in the type of shots and ways of telling a story between the levels of experience. I always find myself taking notes from both the beginner and the professional.
I love the post video talk at the end reflecting on eachother’s work. That’s gold. Also Landon’s smirk throughout the whole video knowing he’s about to dunk on this poor film kid is hilarious
@@chandlerburtYou did an awesome job man! And very brave to put yourself out there. Obviously the 360 camera is gonna give you the ability to do all these slick angles, and yours was solid! Anyway, thought you did great! Keep it up!
I am so excited to see Landon using this new 360 camera for the first time. Very well done! The reframe thing really unlocks the filmmaking possibilities
I’m halfway through the video and I just had to drop down here and say that this is my favorite series. Really shows the difference that a pro brings and just makes me want to learn all the more to get there one day. Amazing work guys, and still an awesome job from the beginner 👏👏👏
1 ) That water shot was Insane !! Straight commercial 🔥 and the compositions 2 ) both videos look good ! 3 ) CAN WE PLEASE ! Take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate how good the Vlog actually looks ? The Grading looks very appealing and the specific composition of where Landon is being recorded in and everything else!. All in all great job ! 👏
Great vids from both. After watching a bunch of these, one of the big things I notice (and I am 100%% guilty of this), is the beginner tends to not have a general plan/story and they always hope to make something in the edit. You can tell as Landon didn't seem to be all squirrely trying to get as much coverage as possible.
I just saw the 360 at NAB show. I am not a video guy but loved the footage from it. They were projecting the wide shot on a 5'x15' screen and it looked very clean and crisp. So, I come home and see this video. I love the Insta footage. A lot more dynamic and the water crossing shot is epic. Now I wanna get one!!!
This "pro" guy is very funny. He behaves so confidently as if he is the god of videography. (And this is not a compliment) Human self-esteem always lifts my spirits. Good luck to the beginner!
Chandler should've gotten the same shot but just have the camera in different positions. But I see that he was a bit nervous and your checklist just goes out the window. I do the same thing.
Awesome video! Excited to see more from Insta360! Really digging their products. Was also surprised to see this shoot like four minutes from where I grew up lol.
Landon, you should actually let the beginner use the insta and you use all the pro gear. Would highlight how little you need to know to do something great with the insta. Great video and efforts by both!
Love watching you create insane stuff with any camera! I don't know how to use fancy equipment but I consider my self a creative person. It would be so sick to see how I camare??!
Can you PLEASE tell me how you steps you took to color the insta360. Did you film in standard or flat? Color grade after filming in standard if so? Just made look amazing.
This was definitely full of good information. One question: The purpose of single lens mode on the X4 is mainly for scenes where you know you don't need the full 360 degree camera view and have to reframe in post, right?
I know this old but this bugging me hehe 35:27 at this point I would tell biker keep going to left then cut rather cut half way also remember you can artificially do focal blur out back ground dose not have be harsh maybe give it 4.5 look.. way I treat 360 cam is I use 360 mode never single, reason I mite want use that ultra wide. also I mite put 360 cam on spokes in between or on fork in front low just get since of speed and on that jump not bridge I would get selfie stick just below lip and have him jump over to get that sense he almost going hit me just show how close you can get subject with 360 cam.. with all techniques I explain that should give basics what 360 cam can do and regular cam can’t due the framing.. oh btw I would use my phone as view finder rather then on 360 it self… oh hehe since I edit in my head I probably edit in 20-40min tops for 5min video…
If you have budget for 1 inch then go for it blindly. I have an X3 and the image quality is crap and honestly I don't see much improvements in X4 as well, you can watch Landon's video in 1080p and you will understand. If you are after image quality and have budget, always go for Insta360 1inch, hands down.
How long did the beginner have to prepare for the challenge, research "action sports/mountain biking, etc" Only because as someone who shoots that stuff regularly, there were so many painful moments for me of "OK due that again" "and again I missed that" "one more time I messed that up" We all have to learn but man do riders hate hearing that over and over again. Even rephrased to "that was great, I think I'll try to capture it from another angle" goes much better.

Damn what a project 🙌 That final result with X4 was fire.
Well you paid for it so i'm not surprised you liked it
Hi insta360 i like your cameras
Fact@@FuzzleyFuzzington
I love your camera because it the best
Thanks for having me!!! It was an awesome learning experience!!! 👊
what focal length were you shooting on?
you did a sick video !
actually: i liked yours more than the pro-video
very well done !
with "beginner+" you underrated yourself
@@Kraeuterbutter Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. I can't wait to make some stuff on the x4 Landon killed it with his edit!

*2014:* "I'll fix it in post"
*2024:* "I'll frame it in post"
That’s wild
In 2034, may be it will be like “I’ll ai it in post”
I love this series so much! I love seeing the difference in the type of shots and ways of telling a story between the levels of experience. I always find myself taking notes from both the beginner and the professional.
This is definitely my favorite series from you guys. I love seeing what you all come up with.
this is something we all been waiting! stoke to see your 360 work!
Landon you set the bar to high with the Pocket 3 Bugatti video. Good luck ever topping that masterpiece haha
The final result with the X4 was lit 🔥
First guy: incredible we got a once in a lifetime shot amazing..... But you think we could do it one more time? 😂🎉
I love the post video talk at the end reflecting on eachother’s work. That’s gold. Also Landon’s smirk throughout the whole video knowing he’s about to dunk on this poor film kid is hilarious
this was the closest one Ive seen competition wise so far , nice job beginner !
Thanks man!

Dope 🔥
I think this the first Beginner vs Pro video both did not out do eachother by much.

Don't Get discouraged Landon. We are with you.....
Love these! Will always watch them because not only are the entertaining and fun to watch, but I feel like I learn a lot about shooting.
I love seeing Zack in our hoodie 🔥
Great vids from both.

I really like this kind of vids. We get to see how important it is to create, and innovate no mater what setup is used. Good job for both of you
Landon continues to show us time and time again that experience is key 🔑
I would also have to agree that I would love some pointers for transitions. That was sick!!

Probably the best video that dropped right after the embargo from ista360 was lifted ;-)
Both were amazing for the beginner I loved the shot with the mountains in the back
90% skills 10% equipment. 👍👍👍
It’s crazy how stable the insta 360 footage is
the image quality of the X4 is top notch!
This "pro" guy is very funny. He behaves so confidently as if he is the god of videography. (And this is not a compliment) Human self-esteem always lifts my spirits. Good luck to the beginner!
Dude Landon you Scared him for a While 😂. Btw Great Wrok
actually i personally think with sport videos like this the Insta 360 will be able to get a lot more creative shots without any stress
Awesome video 🔥🔥. Thank you for providing new inspiration to use that tool👍👍
dude with the bike is really awesome! he make every stunts looks so simple.
These video's are so fun and educational
Chandler should've gotten the same shot but just have the camera in different positions. But I see that he was a bit nervous and your checklist just goes out the window. I do the same thing.
Great video, prefer the beginner plus vid to be honest. Great watching learning for me watching you all

I like Parker staying around for this channel rather than too salesmen/commercial style.

the stabilization on this 360 is insane
really cool. love it. my 360 will come in few days.
Landon always love to end the video with the sky in the end
jaw dropping edit from Landon..
Man doing one of these challenges would be so fun. To have full creative freedom with a cinema camera would be so awesome
The insta360 video looks like the gopro advertisment and i like it
Landon's video was really awesome.
The beginner is good but definitely not like the professional 👌🏾 very nice you're!
both of vids were sooo good .
F F F… Yeah 👍🏻 Well done gents, enjoyed this video thanks.
A lot to learn. Than you!
I also like the overall VLOG-Style.
(My left ear liked this Video especially)

Loved them both.. amazing video ❤💯👊
Thats awesome edit man =D
Just started watching and he is a good creative director 👍🏾
LOVEYOUR CONTENT GUYS, INSPIRED TO BE YOU GUYS!!! please do more of this videos versus!

Would be great to see one of these using a GoPro 👌 got one recently to start me off but I'd love to see what it's full capability could be
That last 20 mins for Landon went for hours
Such a good video🔥🔥

Interesting. Enjoed it!
I can't wait to see his first film that he directed
I preferred the beginner video! 💪
Landon can make flip flops look great
Love these!
I so much love this❤
It would be a cool idea to give us the footage that you shot and see what we can create
I don't know how much he is a beginner in this field. but I think the choice of lens he used was right. even though it hasn't been edited yet
Landon won, but Chandler's was very, very, very good as well!
Yeah I liked it two
I like both
Damn bro just made a film 😮, by the way I have learned a lot from you, thank you for the free Tutorial 🙌 I use my Samsung m32 😂
i'm getting an x4 soon
Hi this is assadali from Kenya Mombasa Africa I'm always love your videos brother learning from you your the best my friend
Where is this bike park at?
Im a one man crew, been using the insta X line since the OG.
Landon won! The story and action shots were just better!
which camera was this video shot on?
This jusy proves skills is worth more than the budget of your gear
Luck bro!✊👍

Superb
Very good!
Your beginner is a pro compared to me lols
Is this one of those videos paid by insta 360 but asked not to be mentioned as sponsors?
Does it really matter? If that was authentic and shows what the X4 can do, I'm sold.
What’s the focal lens of a 360 camera 😅
lol 😅
Should I get the Insta360 1inch or the Insta360 X4?

@@mailsayantansen thanks for the input!
The distortion of the action camera is a deal breaker for me :/
OG wandrd cube felt nostalgic
It's not gear what makes you filmmaker, it's person behind it.
31:30 superb
What park is that.
Should have done it the other way around to show if or that it is easy for a beginner to make an awsome video with the insta 360.
