@@rodrigosarzo I mostly stuck to wide angle lenses, there was a super crisp 10-20 that I used for most shots and then a something to 35. Hahaha It wasn't my gear and I only had about an hour with it, so I can't remember. lol

Good stuff. I think if you would have hit the music beat with the transition and a funky transition or two would have made a big difference. I liked your music choice much better. What a cool opportunity to do that and not knowing anything about mountain biking, even better job.

After watching a bunch of these, one of the big things I notice (and I am 100%% guilty of this), is the beginner tends to not have a general plan/story and they always hope to make something in the edit. You can tell as Landon didn't seem to be all squirrely trying to get as much coverage as possible.
I love this series so much! I love seeing the difference in the type of shots and ways of telling a story between the levels of experience. I always find myself taking notes from both the beginner and the professional.

I just saw the 360 at NAB show. I am not a video guy but loved the footage from it. They were projecting the wide shot on a 5'x15' screen and it looked very clean and crisp. So, I come home and see this video. I love the Insta footage. A lot more dynamic and the water crossing shot is epic. Now I wanna get one!!!

One question: The purpose of single lens mode on the X4 is mainly for scenes where you know you don't need the full 360 degree camera view and have to reframe in post, right?

Landon, you should actually let the beginner use the insta and you use all the pro gear. Would highlight how little you need to know to do something great with the insta. Great video and efforts by both!
Can I use HyperX Codecast to make short films, I will take the laptop ready in the shooting place to connect it to the microphone. I think it's a bad and stupid idea, but I wanted to know your opinion.

How long did the beginner have to prepare for the challenge, research "action sports/mountain biking, etc"
Only because as someone who shoots that stuff regularly, there were so many painful moments for me of "OK due that again" "and again I missed that" "one more time I messed that up"
We all have to learn but man do riders hate hearing that over and over again. Even rephrased to "that was great, I think I'll try to capture it from another angle" goes much better.
That other guy was really an beginner. No closups at all of the bike really, no low angles. No drone shots... gees.

Chandler should've gotten the same shot but just have the camera in different positions. But I see that he was a bit nervous and your checklist just goes out the window. I do the same thing.

Should I get the Insta360 1inch or the Insta360 X4?
If you have budget for 1 inch then go for it blindly. I have an X3 and the image quality is crap and honestly I don't see much improvements in X4 as well, you can watch Landon's video in 1080p and you will understand. If you are after image quality and have budget, always go for Insta360 1inch, hands down.

The amount of promotion Insta360 is putting in its products it's really worrying. To be fair, that's the main thing that's keeping me from buying one.
