@@ECsEDC awesome, thank you! I’m thinking about picking one up for an upcoming Japan trip to take around with me as an EDC instead of hauling around a full size/weight backpack everywhere. Last year I went to Japan but didn’t carry a daily backpack and sometimes I had wished I had one. So was hoping this one may be good enough for a lightweight pack that isn’t annoying to have every day as I explore. Any thoughts about that use scenario?
@@uberaustin777 I think the CHZ22 could certainly work well. Side pockets will be handy and 22L should provide you ample space. The only thing I’d recommend over something like this is a dedicated packable bag. That would allow for a very light weight option and still give you your day pack needs.
What a shame. I see a bag with length anything over 17inches I pass immediately without seeing any other features it offers, how it looks feels like etc. It is very rare to find an airline for international travel that allows personal item size bags taller than 17inches. You restrict the use of the bag to mostly domestic flights. So now you need to buy another one just for international travel. Most big brand name bag manufacturers really don't give a f. about people who are interested in traveling the world with their bags. They only aim for daily and domestic travelers. CTB20 and Osprey 26+6 are the two I know off that pass for that purpose. Other than that, we are stuck with no name smaller brands for now.
they need to rework the yoke pocket, it looks like is hard to operate with a regular laptop when that pocket has a decent load. Also don’t like how it looks when the front pocked is loaded, it gives it a weird shape
There’s definitely some valid feedback in there. I will saw I no longer dislike the shape that the internal pocket creates, and the bag looks awesome if and when it’s fully packed out. But it does take an interesting shape when the top pocket is full and the middle of the front of the bag sags inwards.
@@edgarCruzado when I just got the bag I was in total agreement with you, it looked ugly, and mine was delivered outside the USA, so tariffs and shipping added to the cost, I felt really dumb, then I used it, the bag looks so clean with the lack of outer organization and the yoke pocket is huge, this is the best one and I have almost every bag evergoods currently offers, yes, it is not as convenient as the laptop compartment but this one one me over when I went hiking and that pocket was used for the water bladder and the drinking straw went through the loops, it was my hiking bag (not that I do it often) until the mpl22 replaced it, and yes, these are crossover bags, there are better bags for every task, but they are Jacks of a lots of trades
I have this bag in the burnt orange color. I love it!
That burnt orange is so great, especially now as we emerge into fall! 🍁 🍂
