    Followed along in real time with my Wii, which is identical to this one. Had to use a plain old utility knife, but otherwise it came apart easily following these steps. This is the one to watch if you're servicing your Wii.

    I just wanted to mention that you CAN find the security bits at a hardware store. Lowe's sells a ratcheting screwdriver (Kobalt brand) that has size 2 (the kind the Wii uses) and 3 triwing bits.

    Ok, i have a two questions about the pads:
    I have to replace the processor and GPU pads. I was thinking about using a PRO COOLER MASTER Thermal pad, but i read in the comments that console thermal pads should always be non conductive. Would these work or not?
    And when i tried to remove the wifi module, that black square pad ripped. Is it needed or can i leave it without it? What kind of pad is that (i need the name so i can find online, buy and replace)?

    • @fasttechvideo
      @fasttechvideo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can use the thermal pad you mentioned as long as the thickness matches. The sticky material under the chip can be ignored.
