**update: about 2 months later, and after another color (arctic fox ritual, kind of a burgandy) was applied and faded away, the bottom part of my hair that was double bleached is quite green. I think it's this ultra violet hanging on to it, on top of the bleach, left a greenish hue. I can't be certain but did want to leave a little note for ya'll cuz you know I got your back!! It's nothing major that you can't cover up with other color, and it didn't leave residual green in my single bleached or virgin brown hair, just the super damaged double bleached bit at the very bottom.
I wanted a big change, and I got it LOL!! For the better? Meh, who care's... It's just hair!!!
While having my fun I wanted to walk you through the steps. I'm not a professional, not even close, but I've been cutting and dying my hair at home for a few years and love showing you can do it, too!! Just watch a few tutorials and get out of your own head - it's just hair! If you mess up, you can get it fixed, or just wait while it grows out...

I like it - color turned out really nice! And you get the bravery award for trimming your own bangs - I don't have the courage. (My hair is curly and it's impossible to predict how it will respond to ANYTHING I do.) Regarding the "mushroom" shape, you might have good luck with layering to tone that down, as your hair seems to be fine and relatively straight. Looking forward to that video (or whatever you decide to do next) ☺

U can always use a couple extension on the sides to ad a tiny bit of length so it's more bob and less bowl cut lol
🤣🤣🤣 extensions are a way more high maintenance than I am, but now I'm intrigued 🤔

love it!! how long does it take to fade??
It's about 25%-50% fade each wash... I've shampoos twice since this color and it's a beautiful lavender now on the bleached part, it's fun as it fades out cuz it's basically a new color after each wash 😅 probably 2-3 more washes til the purple is mostly out. You can keep the color going longer with an in-shower color conditioner like overtone

They make shampoos that help clear it away faster. I've also heard dandruff shampoo can help! And hot water of course 👍
Something weird: I bought the same color as you but mine looks blue (??) By the way you look 10/10
it's definitely on the bluer side of purple than red, and what color you put it on top of and what colors you thought have faded out but are actually still hanging onto your hair can all impact the final color. i'm not a fan of blue and green, prefer purples and reds, so was worried going into it but super happy with the results. hope yours fades out nicely! mine is really light purple and the blond is starting to peep through in parts which is always an odd look as the color fades out LOL!! will probably be ready for a new color in a week or 2.
