We have four German Shepherds.
One with the cream gene and three sable. (The three sables are from the same litter).
Our pups live in the home, sleep on our beds and are our lives.
We recently lost two due to old age and our pack are what keeps us going.

wow i'm so proud of Ryuk. Kamala is coming on so nicely but it's so interesting to see how different she acts in those built up areas. Breaks my heart a little but have to remember how important it is.

My huskies act this way too so I’m having to socialise them too to towns.
My best friend was a wolf dog and she passed at 16 yrs old but your wolf dog is so much alike and you do know how different wolf dogs are so different and not like dogs. My wolf dog was never collared on a leash but was at my side and we were a team and we so loved each other and this brings tears to my eyes , if I would died before she would have died of starvation as she was a one person wolfdog .

They both practically very strongly resemble, & look alike behavior as well. Let's remember the aim dog suggestion Denmark's "The Brolhomer"!

There is nothing easy about raising a wolfdog. Hi from Boomer (wolfdog) Xander (GSD) and me.
Deffs equal to or harder than the hardest breeds. But can be done and even to a high level. Just not worth the effort for most people. Hence why most people should never own them besides maybe a czech wolfdog or saarloos as they're more dog stabilized then the average true hybrid.
Forget about the dogs it is just good to see you darling. 😊. Be safe.

I feel very sorry for Kamala that she was stressed like this from Jessica her owner. Interesting to see that the socialization work of Jessica does not work. Every good wolfdog owner would have stop immediatel when he noticed that stress his wolfdog was in. But what we see here, some of her puppy buyer experience themselves.
Thank You Anneka, you along w/countless others on this platform and others have sparked my curiosity and interest in wolves and I want to personally thank you for being my inspiration, high school may still be 7 months away but that isn't stopping me from pursuing this dream job. I’m heavily invested in following this path and further benefiting humans, wolves, and other creatures alike! If I may ask, what did you or others in this field study in college or university? What major(s) are best recommended for these types of work? And lastly, what are the differences between careers such as Wildlife Biology and Wildlife Conservation, Animal Behavior and Animal Sciences, or Animal Caretaking and Wildlife Rehabilitator? They all seem so similar, but that might just be me
I'm sorry for such a long comment, I'm a senior and I'm just so keen on finding a calling in this area and making a difference in multiple lives of animals. If you or anybody else is too busy to respond I completely understand, there's most likely a lot on your plate already. I'm just so keen to get answers so that I can gain more knowledge and make a decision, a heavy decision. Hi. Thankyou for such a great comment. I was going to be a vet so was about to study veterinary medicine but I swapped to drama last minute as I was going into film. I struggled with BBC as they are snobby when it comes to qualifications so that’s why I make my own programmes. Depends what you want to do with wolves… if it’s to study, zoology is a good degree at Bristol (if you are uk) I’m happy to answer more if you email me via the box on my official website
@@Animal-Watch Thank you for the response! I had Zoology on my list but just wasn’t sure whether it would offer me the action/hands on experience if I were to graduate w/a degree in that field. The same can be said for degrees such as Wildlife and Conservation, Animal Sciences, and Wildlife Biology as I’ve also kept an eye on those as well but when it comes to the info, they sort of do the same just more or less research or what not. W/that in mind I’m more wanting a career and degree that offers more hands on experience/learning, I live in Northern California in the USA so I’m around many prestigious colleges who offer fabulous degrees in their respective fields (animal work being one of them) so my options aren’t limited at all. Again thank you for taking time off your day and responding to a weary teenager’s questions, I deeply appreciate it :)

How do you train a wolf dog to walk off leash?

That’s very kind of you. Analytics on TH-cam suggest 10 min is best as most people turn off after 5 to 7 min but I really appreciate that you would watch longer 🙏❤️

Anneka i will have to disagree for the aninals safety they all need to be trained with a non violent type e collar that eventually has a shock setting. Used in over stimulation events. To prevent biting.
However. The shock is only used to prevent an actual bite that would get the wolf hybrid wuthanized in many places due to no rabies vaccine being approved.
It also is useful in teaching fair levels of corrections slowly and teaching them that not all corrections are bad. And eventually that there are bad corrections if need be. You also need to understand the reconcilation process if youre going to go that route. And reinforce that early on with other wolf dogs or wolves. Or dogs trained to help this type of training.
Joda was trained essentially how her and chad are training their hybrids with some other additions. Coming from captive bred working line wolf breeders that do still exist in some places. Along with some native advise through many many years of wolf hybrid experience going back before europeans entered north america.
You must also essentially be willing to let the wolf bite on you a little bit while teaching bite inhibition in terms of letting it correct you. How we taught joda not to bite even if you irk him as long you dont cross certain lines. First hell puff and puff and walk away. If you follow hell look and give a little teeth chatter or growl. Continue false snap. Continue hell pin you growl in your face showing his teeth and then run off. If you continue after that he might bite a stranger. If you are someone he doesnt immediately wanna meet and you give him space hell usually eventually come say hi and let you touch him a little but likely not like hes favorite people. Besides purposeful situations of stressing him and testing him only one person pushed the issue and got the growl and it was a dog trainer who refused to accept none dog like canine behavioral practices in wolves and believed they were just wild dogs. He learned quick. Was also done to keep him from trying to statt breeding and training lower content wolf hybrids from a czech wolfdog saarloos mix and its other parent being an f1 wild cross. Thabkfukly that hybrid ended up in better care and he rethought taking thr saarloos mix. Instead acquired a primitive breed but not that primitive breed dog and is learning.
Dingo forst. Then wolf hybrids. Wolf lineage dogs sometimes before dingos. Depends on what exact breeds and exact situations.

They would probably not survive long, unless they were born and raised in the wild by wild parents in a truly wild area,away from people. But I do think is right to be breeding them in the first place. Just because people like the look and idea of having them.

What wolf dogs are supposed to be in a jungle? Number 1, it’s a wolf ‘dog’ so there aren’t any in the wild and Number 2, wolves don’t live in jungles 😄
