This gave me nostalgic feelings. I remember 2009, I visited Benin city. I could recall, the first building in the city by the left is the university of Benin, a very beautiful school. Benin was beautiful beyond what I expected. Seeing many Nigerian cities on TV or internet, is not as beautiful to the eyes as when you visit the cities in person. Benin highways are beautify by statues of their ancestors. It's such a beautiful city to visit. Thanks for bringing this beautiful city to our views
😌😌😌 We are glad you enjoyed the video and your visit to Benin It is indeed a beautiful place and even on first visit you will feel that special cultural vibes the city gives☺️☺️.. Do well to turn on notifications bell so you will be notified when we drop other videos in this series😊😊
This city is very old, generally speaking. It seems majority of the modern developments are located in between Sapele road and airpor road (the likes of GRA, Adesuwa/Etete/Ugbor). Then bits of Akpakpava and mission road (mostly banks and a few private investments). The city needs some turnaround (and it's going to require both government and private developers to make this place look much better) But i like rhe history the city holds. I wish the moats can be rejuvenated for people to better understand what Benin Kingdom was about, prior to Nigeria's formation. The rest of it looks really dated.
I am slovakian and this moment in benin. I love it here. Some places very poor but also is nice places to see. People are very nice and welcoming me here. I really enjoy time here and hope i come back again.
Thank you for sharing, Very interesting culture. We are interested in your cuisine. It would be great if you could add Nigerian food utube/ blogs by visiting restaurants and ask them what ingredients/the processes of cooking, how to eat, taste, texture, flavour etc... We have students from Nigeria, that's how we are interested in your country. It would be nice to have a safe trip when we visit. You should start up European travel service for tourist. Thank you..
@just.fisayo I have done so. They really are not impressive. And many of the picture that come up from Google are locations elsewhere. This is not a very impressive site at all.
@@aaronadkins8234 They are not located elsewhere. There is a history about the Great Walls of the Benin kingdom. The walls have been destroyed that's why there is a wide space there. It was a very large stronghold
Can’t remember the name 😉😉 But if you want you can send us a Dm on Instagram or Facebook (arlintv_) or a mail @ contactarlintv@gmail so we could send it to you..
Hi It’s been a while we downloaded it and it isn’t saved with the song name But if you want you can send us a mail @ contactarlintv@gmail.com and we can send it to you..
Makes me a bit sad seeing all the trash people have been throwing in the moats of the Great Walls. I wish everyone would show a little more respect to such an important historical site!
We have some more videos of the beautiful parts of Benin City coming up😊😊 This is just the first in the series..☺️ Do well to Subscribe and Turn on the Notifications Bell so you will be notified when we upload them🤓🤓
I doubt you watched till the end😒 We tried our best to capture the major areas in Benin as much as possible.. Thanks for watching and you can look forward to upcoming videos where we explored other parts of Benin City..
Having lived and worked in Benin for several years this video had not changed my mind at all as over the past 20 years I see no improvement. The museum is a disgrace, the walls are a ditch of no particular merit, the roads and infrastructure are awful, there’s little to no sewage system nor running water and the electricity, what electricity … 😂
