Really interesting - the dramatic portrayals of Arthur in film and TV is always as a borderline invalid (much the same with Edward VI, when it seems he was actually quite healthy but killed through a relatively sudden condition), so it is fascinating to see the opposite narrative for once, It is illogical that Arthur would have been sent to Ludlow if he was so physically and mentally weak. Thank you for broadcasting.

Loved this, I live near Ludlow Castle and everytime I visit I imagine Katherine and Aurthur, it's a beautiful castle and full of history.

One person would have made sure that marriage was consummated - Margaret Beaufort. She would not have left it open that the marriage wasn't legal.

This is so fascinating, I love this topic
But if Arthur had lived, he would have likely had the issues that Henry had with Catherine, no heirs? Possibly? Possibly not? I am just wondering 🙂

As of now, 4k views and just only above 150 likes. Come on people, take a second to 👍 to keep these wonderful channels up and running. Loved the pod btw, loved the topic, loved the tone of it all. Not full of drama and personal opinions vs facts such as a lot of channels these days. Nice change, thanks for your post!

England would most likely remained Roman Catholic had Arthur become King. There probably would have been no English Civil War either.

I like his argument that Europe was already dealing with the reformation, so it was only a matter of time before England did. Maybe with Spain at his back he would not have considered it though. It's always fun to consider the what ifs.

History would have been different had he lived.

Sorry to say but your answer to the simple question did they or did they not was really shady...you're an expert, what do you think?
