That's a lot of work. I like your confidence that your liner doesn't have any rips or tears! Thanks for all the tips

Thank you for this video! I have a half dug pond in the backyard, that needs to be finished. This video showing the laying of the rocks was very helpful, especially the note to use a metal wheelbarrow!

I feel sorry for you having to pay for rocks. I have the opposite problem, I dug for my first huglkultur bed and had over 50%rocks by volume.
    Nice Pond!

6:36 is the only part that bothered me, you could have easily hid the liner by pulling it back and burying that instead, but honestly very amazing job on the pond/video and it definitely helped me get a better understanding of how to build mine, thank you. sorry for being critical, im that guy at work too LOL

I think you've said you're in Northern California. I'm just west of Sacramento, and am wondering if I can pretty much grow what you grow. What city or planting zone are you in? Thanks for your help. Your yard is amazing!

Thank you much for posting this series. I’ve been thinking about digging my own pond for years. I’m thinking of something around 15-feet long by 10-feet wide or so with a stepped depth of 1 to 5 feet since I’m in Minnesota and might add fish.
I’m a little worried about the amount of manual labor it will take to dig something that size by hand.
How much time did it take to dig yours?
    Thank you.

Did you start your pond project yet? 5 feet deep is overkill in my opinion.

You shouldn’t have got boulders for the edge, you should have got flat rocks, the ones that are smooth and heat up in the sun
