- Finally got a good BIG AIR run in with this joker. This build started out in a box. This truck been sitting for a while now I slowly cleaned and polished every part the plastics I cleaned and oiled repeatedly until I got them to look almost brand new, if not brand new, it started out as an EXB and eventually turned into this beast It is now.

M2C UPGRADES chassis, Motor mount, ESC plate, suspension blocks and hinge pins, 7 mm shock shaft kit, overkill CVD's, 7075 teardrop ends on the tower to tower braces center shafts are also M2C

Geared 39/35 on 12s. Rolling on the new Arrma 8s backflips. The tires are just a little bigger and look the same as the 6s backflip just bigger. I was a little nervous they wouldn't hold 12s but they did quite well but time will tell I might try some different tires just to see how the handling would be, a stiffer tire will definitely hold the truck straighter when Full pinned in the grass and sand but on hard landings, I believe these backflips will be much better and give it a little more Kush on landing

3DRC wing mount and bumper support is a must on these big trucks

Vitavon bulkheads front and rear and hubs in the front along with their steering links. This is not necessary for regular bashing, but hard hits out there 150 feet or farther tends to explode the composite parts.
My Arrma Kraton 12s is built exactly the same way as this truck just running the Max5 g2 800 kv combo.

I’m going to do my 6s notorious like you do shit. I spent a grand today at vitivon and liquid RC for it… and that’s no electronics… any recommendations on esc and motor for the notorious?

me personally, I like to go a little big on the motor and ESC to keep my temperature down here in Florida this is definitely not needed but it’s what I would do either a Max6 or a MMX8S ESE paired with a hobbystar 4082 2000 KV. Yes you can go bigger with a motor if you want to but it’s not needed on that truck.
If you want to go nuts with the motor, I just started running the 4050, 1950kv TP power motor and it’s a little monster. It measures out to a 4082 roughly size can

Having the same delay issue, max punch and still has a delay. I'm going to try and see if a glitch protector helps but I doubt it. Hope to see a fix from hobbywing!
Yes, I hope they fix this soon it’s a real pain in the ass. I’m sure it would be simple just a software update. Please let me know if that works for you.
Wow that was a wild one...but a good one you were saying you are having problems with the delay on the outcast. I was wondering if it maybe because it's not censored. I ran my max 5 G2 with a 840 kv hobbystar and had the same issue. It felt like I had to hit the trigger multiple times to correct in the air if I made a mistake. Once I put in the hobbywing censored motor in it went away. Anyway always love watching them fly in the pit bro. Have a good one bro.
Thanks bro I tried with the censored motor and that’s even how it’s set up on my K12 and the delay is still there. I even tried to go through the settings and try different settings and it just does not go away. It doesn’t do it on 8s or 10s It’s just 12s

Awesome 12s action Brother Aldo 🚀🚀. You were hitting some crazy fat airs 😱👀. I gotta say I have zero interest in the Max5 g2 and dealing with any possibility of trigger delay. These rigs are way too heavy to have to fight to correct. The O12s did great though. That noser with the K12s was gnarly 😂. Pretty certain Victor did the same thing busting a front and rear arm. Having 3 let go is nuts. Goes to show how much force is involved with these monsters at speed. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thank you so much Mr. Rich👍 I had an awesome time with these two trucks even though the K12s got took out quick I know what she’s capable of and yes it sucks to have the delay but when things go right boy, she loves to fly and I’m probably gonna go back to the old Max5 on my Outcast I love that truck just don’t love how she handles with that ESC hopefully hobbywing gets that delay sorted quickly having access to that kind of power is just nuts. Punch Setting has to be Max. Lower Punch Setting makes a delay.

Everybody’s cars and set ups will be different in my opinion. you just want to gear your cars to where there’s no cogging/stuttering. you want a nice smooth transition from no power to power from brake back to power it needs to be smooth
The problem is the max5 g2 esc is its essentially and physically the max5g1 but with XR series firmware with more BEC functionality and EFRA sensor capabilities. Hobbywing needs tk ditch the XR pro firmware and update the EZrun firmware. Just look at the max5 g1 and max4 the ezrun simplified firmware is flawless.
Yeah, they definitely need to do something. It’s almost impossible to use them like this with my style of bashing.
I crashed twice yesterday from mid air with my outcast on 8s max5 g2…and thought the delay was wiring or something I did. What the actual hell is going on?! 🤨
I don’t know what’s up with this ESC but I’m not having that problem on 8S or 10s only 12 S. it might have something to do when the ESC is getting loaded up too much. It restricts the power but I have no clue to be honest I’m just talking.

How are you setting up your shocks to deal with these landings?
What’s up man my shock set up is 50wt front and 60 rear M2c, 7 mm shock shafts and piston kit with HR bladderless shock caps. Seems to work pretty good. I still have issues from time to time but for the most part they hold pretty good.
@@AldoLoyal I am surprised, would have thought you have to go much harder, higher wt, compared to stock. I am always puzzled how the chassis can take this impact.
@@WolfgangL-i3u we typically do go heavier with the lighter cars, but with the heavier ones like this with thicker oil, you’ll have too much pack, and start bending shafts that actually causes more problems
wicked vid my brother! so what exactly happens with the delay? what does it mean when it delays? like when you hit the throttle is takes a second or or to work?
Thanks man yeah there’s a delay when you go on throttle I think it’s to protect the ESC from too much load at one time

What kind of batteries do you use in your transmitter?
I want to get a bigger 3s Lipo that’ll last longer than a day for it but right now I’m just running the eight AAA’s
@@AldoLoyal try using a lipo if you're working on the truck and nothing has changed, also if there are power lines in your area it can sometimes interfere with the transmitter and receiver
How much does the truck weigh? I’m weighing in at 37 pounds right now you think I can still send it or am I too heavy you think buddy?
I’m around 30 pounds without Lipo I would say try it and see what happens if you don’t mind replacing an arm from time to time you probably be OK. Try to land it good

Exactly I hear very few people talking about this but I think that is the cause it’s to protect their ass from meltdowns I have three of these ESC‘s and one of them has no delay. The other two has the delay and they’re all set up the same the only one that doesn’t have the delay is the one I’m running with a TP motor, but I don’t know man it’s starting to really piss me off. I’m sure they’ll get it straightened out eventually but damn. thanks for your time bro. Always appreciate ya.

Not sure it’s the ESC talking to a few people, and we think hobbywing just put that delay there to control these ESC‘s from melting down that way you’re not getting a instant power surge to the system to smoke them🤷♂️

Yeah bro it definitely sucks. It only does it on 12 S I’ve tried it on 8S and 10s and it’s fine.
@AldoLoyal u can almost cancel it out with large spur & good transmitter...I run the 650kv in my limitless for drag...I noticed that the larger the spur the smaller the delay...
Awesome video. And I have to say, one of the things that really catches my eye when I’m scrolling through videos, is the absolutely sick paint jobs on your car bodies. I love that black and yellow color scheme. You have some of the coolest custom painted RC car bodies I’ve ever seen. Simple, yet very cool color schemes and designs. Keep up the great videos. The Kraton much easier to handle the outcast is ballistic on 12 S and it’s very hard to control because of the ESC having a delay so the Kraton on 12 S 100%

Thank you so much I didn’t really realize how good some of those jumps were until the edit and with that delay in the ESC was pissing me off, but definitely a good session. Awesome upgrades as well only damages were the plastic factory parts. A big win for M2c💪💪👍
