- It's been more than a couple of years since we last took the Proton X50 up our favorite mountain, and this time one of our fans contacted us and offered his 1 year old stock Proton X50 to us for a drive, and so here we were.

I feel that SUV with just a bit of steering the body can be busy, while sedan and hatchback are more sat down and you can power through it. Even with high performance SUV is still the limit there, anyway thanks for owner for this drive. Happy Fathers Day uncle
Right now owning x50 2021, engine and transmission is superb. Only problem with power window

Uncle YS, I think if the X50 similar to S70 there is an option to disable ESC in the menu. Like the S70 can toggle from swipe down or setting. Just search for 'ESC Sport mode'. It will disable traction control and it will just cut corners like there is no tomorrow.
X50 got traction disable button beside the card holder, on the right side of the steering
The traction control switch is on the right near your knee area.
Fioyo, the car handling is superb! Love the car when it goes up Genting.

Next time I visit KL I must arrange for a drive with you Uncle 🙏 I did a spirited drive in my friend’s X50 up Genting Highland in March when I visited. It was an amazing experience. I should upload the footage to show you how I drive and always welcome any advice on how to improve.

x50 and s70 which one is more worthwhile for a family car and a long trip …Please sifu help me 😢
S70 is a bigger vehicle, more stowage space, more lehroom, more stable and comfortable

Definitely X50 for the long run. S70 compact cabin & stable handling.
TGDI compare with MPI which one more better? I heard TGDI similar like TFSI engine. 3 cylinders engine can it be push further more to gain more HP? How durable is it the engine to withstand high power?
The direct injection system can generatr morr power from the same capacity so it is a more efficient engine, more advanced.
why don't they add paddle shifters, it makes the driving my dynamic
