I was once an anti-dispensation post-trib lordship salvation Calvinist with mixed teachings from Bethel flirting with Catholicism. How that kind of mixture came to be is because I was raised in Bethel, with the standard Bible in our native tongue that got translated from Alexandrian sources by the authorized national Bible organization that is controlled by the Catholics, taught Christianity (which in my nation, Catholics included and taught as the same as any denomination and we all should unite) in my primary school with the NIV, continued to secondary with NKJV, and enrolled into a Calvinist university.
It turned me into a depressed wreck.
I was convinced that I need to do works, hard, for salvation and to keep it.
The first thing that convicted me was my own conscience.
The more I went deeper down the rabbit hole of lordship salvation, the more I realized how sinful I am that it would be impossible for me or anyone else for that matter to get saved. However, I got the mindset that even if I ended up in hell, I will continue to still try do good works, still not realizing the true gospel.
Then the errors of Catholicism got exposed, and I was horrified.
Ironically, the thing that first placed at least a 10km long pole separating me from Catholicism was my lordship salvation belief that scared me off from executing my plan to actually convert to Catholicism. (Now that I know the full truth, that distance got increased to infinite and I'm not a lordship salvationist anymore, no worries.)
Then it came to my attention from reading all these Bible versions that they seem to contradict with what the church teaches and with one another if one pays attention to their wordings. So, in my perfectionist lordship salvation fervor, I tried to find the one Bible version, demanding the perfect word of God.
I found out about the King James Version, 1611 Authorized.
I started reading it and value it as the final authority above all other versions.
First from reading online to installing the app, and then I bought the physical one.
For a period of time, that Bible placed me in a state of confusion. My conscience tells me that this version cannot be wrong, but my upbringing screams at it as heresy. So, the Calvinist side comes up, trying to wiggle around the verses to support my lordship salvation view. But the more I wiggle around the verses, the more I felt convicted. My conscience reminded me about how sinful I am and the impossibility of me being saved if what I believed was true. From hardline works, I slowly changed into that one type that pastor Kim (I'm pretty sure all of you too, and now me myself) is annoyed with: the one who says we are saved by faith, but demands works and start pointing at verses that doesn't actually apply if you actually read, twisting scripture and being dishonest, and if you say they teach works salvation they went into denial.
From there it goes into a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, my depression got to its worst point, and in my frustration I prayed to God that I want Him to show me the full unadulterated truth, I do not want to be deceived by anyone, be it by someone else or by my own self, that He guide me to His truth, no sugarcoating it, 100% truth.
He led me to Pastor Gene Kim.
To be honest, when I first watched your video, pastor, I branded you a heretic. (I'm sorry)
I did not touch your channel for over a month.
But it kept on coming up in my recommended videos.
The gospel, dispensationalism, OSAS, KJV, these videos kept on coming up.
This group of people: Independent fundamental Baptist KJV-only dispensationalists.
I relented and watched, because honestly speaking, all these topics brought that ray of hope I desperately need after years of depression on the matter.
When I start having that mindset of disagreeing again, funny enough what you said in that video was something along the lines of: "see they don't read their Bibles, they kept on disagreeing." and I got reminded of the very thing I prayed to God for: full unadulterated truth.
So, I opened up my KJV while watching you, checking every single word that came out of your mouth.
To my surprise, you are proven correct.
I accepted the true gospel.
All of that doctrinal mess was cleared up, completely shattered one by one by the KJV and the videos you posted.
My depression is gone, there is a joy and relief in my life that I never had, and I can say that I am now a saved Christian AND a real Bible believer.

HOW TO BE SAVED (How to KNOW you are saved and not just hope you are)
THE BAD NEWS
All men have sinned and are in need of a Savior (Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" ; Rev 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
No man can come to God by his own good works and righteousness. (Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;" THE GOOD NEWS
1 Timothy 1:15 tells us "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."
How does Jesus save a sinner?
From the beginning of the bible to the end, God has only forgiven sins through a BLOOD SACRIFICE, because he is a Holy God he can't forgive sins any other way, Heb 9:22 tells us, "...without shedding of blood is no remission." when Adam sinned, God had to kill a lamb in Adam's place as a substitue, In the Law of Moses, a Blood Sacrifice was demanded for the forgiviness of sins.
Jesus came to die for the sins of the whole world, he came to be OUR Blood Sacrifice, OUR substittue, he came to bear OUR sins on the cross, in OUR place. John 1:29 "...Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
What must you do to be saved?
YOU MUST REPENT; You must change from unbelief to belief.
admit you are guilty, that you cannot do anything to save or help save yourself, and that you need Jesus Christ as your savior.
Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done. but according to his mercy he saved us,"
Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Romans 4:5 "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
YOU MUST TRUST; placing your complete faith in what Jesus Christ already did to save you;
John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:."
Salvation comes by believing in WHAT Jesus did for you, 1 Cor. 15:1-4 tells us "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW that Christ died for OUR SINS according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
All you have to do to be saved, and on your way to heaven is place your TRUST in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and nothing else, as sufficient for your salvation, (Rom 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a PROPITIATION through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;")
(Propitiation means the act of appeasing wrath, Jesus took your place on the cross.)
Will you accept Jesus Christ as your savior by simple faith, simply trusting in his shed Blood for sufficient to save your soul from hell?
The last sentence is all you must do to be saved, and that is FAITH, not works, TRUSTING in what someone else did for you is the only thing that is not a work.

If you have received Jesus Christ, by faith in his Blood, you now have eternal life and on your way to heaven!
I John 5:11 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
John 10:27-28 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

The fasting referred to here is not for weight loss , detox or whatever. It is a fast to free the spiritual captive, break spiritual chains, to bring the Christian to a better understanding of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, our Creator and ultimately build a close relationship with HIM... It is not a fad diet, so kindly keep your different versions of fasting to yourself and read the Word of God as pertains to fasting....

I agree with Dr. Kim in a physical as well as a spiritual sense, because I’m a believer and an RN (retired). For many people, coming off of a fast by using chicken or beef broth, jello, and water or Sprite works well for a few days, then transitioning into their regular diet. My husband is a diabetic, so changes in his blood sugar can be dangerous. I suggested he not necessarily fast from food, but watching TV sports or something along those lines. He has done so and can attest to the spiritual value of this.

dear brothers and sister in Christ, please add some Himalayan pink salt to your water during a fast or something like sea salt that contains alot of minerals. Just drinking normal fresh water can disrupt the electrolyte balance and make you feel bad. I add around half a teaspoon to half a liter of water and i drink fresh water as well and try to drink what makes me feel better. it makes more of a difference when you do longer than a 24 hour fast. i believe it takes around a day- day and a half to flush your salts. I think the key to proper fasting and doing anything else for God, it should be done if you feel led by Him, YHVH Christ Jesus.

I was so discouraged and felt like a disgraced thinking I had to fast forty days and nights, I even hid from God because I knew I couldn't do it. I deal with anger and irritability. This came just in time! I'm so blessed to see how scripture clearly is showing me how I can do this with the lord. Praise God

I have fasted for 45 days. Basically drinking only water all day. When sun goes down I’d break the fast with hot tea or hot soup and eat a light meal. Occasionally another meal of the same night, I have done three day water alone fasts. For the first time a few months ago the three day water fast was tough but I didn’t stop.
I've been speaking with a person who is a huge believer in meditation (as in esoteric chakra meditation). I believe in prayer meditation because esoteric teachings say that your mind should be empty and you eventually you should be able to access the astral plane, but I feel that would be dangerous. Jesus/God must be in your mind when you are meditating (prayer meditation) so you aren't leaving your mind open to other energies or entities. Hope im correct here.

“meditate on the word day and night”
There is a difference between biblical meditating on God's words and esoteric meditation.
For us Christians it is meant as to study it with an active mind. However, esoteric meditation uses vain repetitions with a goal of emptying the mind. This is dangerous because:
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
God told us to not empty our minds. We are to be sober minded, because the devil prowls about and will try to use that. In an empty mind state, it is easier for demons to possess and influence people. Yoga also has that goal of activating an unclean spirit called the kundalini that traps the person in a hypnotic feel-good state. End result of esoteric medition is either death or vegetative state, unity with their pagan gods.
Do not mix teachings of the world with God's words. Even if you aren't leaving your mind empty, you already opened the gate for compromise of His words and satan will use that. He may not attack you directly like he could if you empty your mind, but he will attack your integrity and doctrines. What business has light with darkness?
Colossians 2:8 (KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
How to meditate on God's words day and night?
Open up that book we all call the Bible, read, and study it.

Thank you so much pastor. I have been wondering this since your last video. I love the prayer series actually. I have many medical conditions though and I knew you can't go at this like Moses. I love that's the first thing you mentioned. I definitely want to do this and am glad that the Lord takes weakness into account and accepts things like half a day. I need to make a plan for myself. Yes we know our bodies better than anyone and what we can take.

Is Pastor Kim saying, fruits and vegetables for fasting, fat free, but not rice, not potaoes, not beans? Rice has 8% fat but potatos only 1% fat. I KNOW I want to be fasting, but water fasting wipes me out, . So I am very excited about this latest video teaching. Please advise about starches!

Ive fasted for a year or so now, i stop eating by 10pm, then dont eat before noon everyday, that including sleep time is 14 hrs. I find water and coffee are good to get me through the morning till lunch, and it will make you run om the food thats in you. Your digestion will be better, the water and caffiene with nothing else seems to help wash out the body a bit. It gets a break from the amount of solids so the water can wash whats there away before more builds up. Im no dr but i feel like that is going on internally. I feel like at 10 or 11 am i have the "1pm" crash but i have energy all afternoon, when others are tired. Fasting helps clear your head, you feel more in tune with the big things and little things arent as important, you dont have tons of extra energy making yoir thoughts race and your sugar levels are more constant which makes me think that is connected to clear thought.
And Moses he did 40 days and nights and broke the tablets and went up again to do 40 more days/ nights..

Moses’s fast has been referred to as a supernatural fast... he was in the direct presence of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and that PRESENCE sustained him so much that he was able to go 40 days without food and water...

Can you do a video on what's in between the rapture and the tribulation like is going to be immediate tribulation or can there be some time in between where we get raptured and the temple is not yet built the antichrist hasn't showed up yet ect

Fasting is easy with snake diet. I’ve fasted with NO FOOD for 10 days now. Easy with the “snake juice” which has what they put in IV’s. Absolutely no dizziness. No side effects also. I lost 22 pounds. Literally amazing stuff. God Bless
Why would you be promoting this diet on this channel of all channels..... Dr. Gene is referring to fasting and prayer that is pleasing to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!! The promoter of the diet you keep referring to is foul mouthed, in addition it’s a weight loss fad. I suggest to you that you cease to mislead people who are here to seek the true spiritual knowledge and wisdom and guidance that this Channel provides.....
Fasting means our digestive system needs a day off too 1 or 2 x a week.
Look up snake diet. The guy is a little weird but the diet is really good. I haven’t eaten any food for 10 days and each day I feel better! I don’t get dizzy AT ALL and my sleep is sooo much better. Lost 22 pounds.
