Hello! Thank you for this. How would you do this if you are using a black canvas? Do you have any advice on that? I run a business and this would be perfect for my canvas classes, but I use a lot of black canvases. Thank you.
TY Lisa! Because there is no white ink for sublimation I would not recommend this for a black canvas, it will not show up. Also, if you add white htv and sublimate on top of it, it defeats the purpose of using a black canvas. I'm sorry Lisa, I don't have a workaround for that.
Awesome video and very informational! Thank you for making it! I did follow ever y step and for some reason my image won't transfer :( I am using the epson ET 8550 and the same sublimation paper you are, with canvas purchased from Michaels craft stores, and I would love to hear your opinion on why you think it won't work out for me? Should I try a higher temperature? I just would hate to ruin my heat press. Thank you in advance for taking your time to answer!
Onto the same canvas once. You don't want to burn it. After you use the image once it's really no good. The colors will only be vibrant on that initial press
No laminate is needed if you are going to paint on top of it. If you just wanted to do a picture or a colorful drawing I would then say to use the laminate to bring out the vibrant colors but that is not needed if you are going to paint on top of it.
@@dorisedwards58 ok thank you ive been trying to find things that appeal to a younger audience im only 15 and most people i service are around that age
Sorry if this is a stupid question (I’m a beginner) - but did you print on your sublimation printer using cricut design? Or did you actually use the cricut. I’m just confused on how/where you got the actual print out Don’t judge this question if it’s stupid lmao
Hello there, I printed on A-sub sublimation paper and used the heat press to press it onto the canvas. I used my Epson WF 7720 sublimation printer to print out the image. Feel free to reach out anytime something is not clear.
If you want more of a glossy look you can use a laminated sheet on it first and then sublimate on top of the laminate. If not, then nothing else iis needed
Hi sorry if I missed it. I know you use sublimation paper I assume you have to use sublimation ink? Also do we have to use cricut can we just print using word?
Yes I use Inkxpro sublimation ink. You're using the heat press to transfer the ink to the canvas. I've not tried it using MS Word to press to the canvas. I don't believe it will work.
Sorry if this a silly question: Is the image printed out on a regular inkjet printer or is it printed from a sublimation printer with sublimation ink?

@@dorisedwards58 Thank you. I guess I gotta break down and get one rather sooner than later.

Hello
My picture will not transfer
I could try to help you figure it out but I would need more information
I want to know how did you get the paper to just print out like that
I'm not sure I understand your question.
And here I been tracing and making stencils. This is so much easier. My gawd!!!! Thank You!!! Now to switch my printer and get a heat press. lol!

I have not tried infusible ink
Hello I thought you could only have polyester to do sublimation?
They are referring to tshirts when they say that but you can sub on a polyester blend as well as long as the polyester count is the highest
So no laminate?
