Thanks for stopping by and watching this video of the new and latest release from FTX. It their latest crawler and I managed to pick one up from my local model shop. This new crawler is around £320 in the Uk. It has lots of features that come as stock and a 6 channel radio. On this video we have a Quick Look at all the features and a quick overview

That is a lot for the price, it's well built and has a lot of features. The light package alone would cost a little bit of $$$. Seems like you got yourself a winner there Tibster.

Ftx and rgt are the same company. Just like the rescuer and the outback tracker are both the same

I have bought some blue Injura plastic inserts recently and they worked well, but i have now bought some green ones which are softer, so i will try them on this truck at some point soon 😊
Nice Tib's, a lot like the Gladius but on steroids. Dig is a nice feature, plus a lot of lights. Looking forward to seeing it run.

@@tiborvon So many of mine are stock, I only change if needed. I normally add metal wheels, over changing tyres.
Torn between this and the tracker. They both look great and I can get support from my local shop.
@@ifonlyiwerebelgian The Tracker is a posh Gladius so a TRX4 clone. The Centaur has Dig and winch over the tracker portals. You will have to think what are the Pros and Con's for you.
@BasBoyRC I'm not fussed about the winch, but my son would love it. I'm leaning towards the centaur as it seems the best value. Shame it doesn't have the tracker body though . The tracker is far better looking.
Awesome. The more I see about the FTXs, the more I want one. Thanks for showing. Hasn't it builded in an overdrive in 4WD?
Thanks Dirt. Yes, the FTX brand have come along way from their first crawler, which i use to own ! And they are always very good price and parts always seem to be cheap. I don’t think it has an overdrive, i will have to check the next time i have a battery in it

Thanks dude. It has a lot of nice features as stock and it is a lot cheaper than the TRX and SCX models. I would say it is more like an SCX10 rather than the TRX4. It is smaller than the TRX4 as well. I am guessing that the FTX Tracker is a TRX4 clone and this model is more to match the Axial SCX10, just my opinion
Nice review on the ftx comes with quiet a lot of things doesn’t it . I don’t know what the second fan mounts for but I think you can change the motor and have it on the rear instead of front maybe

nice review really good truck, I'm looking for a crawler I can modify into an 8x8 .... but will probably do another carnage truck.

Cheers Carl. Yeah, i am happy with my new truck but I don’t think it can be modified into 8 wheels. It is quite a bit smaller than a TRX4 i would say
I think (not gosspal), the fan mounts in those braces are for the steering servos, & there's one in the rear for the possibility of rear-steer?
That could be a reason for it Jason. I really don’t know. But i recon we will see a video at some point that shows what can be done with this area. Because there is a nice big space under the bracket as well so plenty room to fit something as you say.
Blue one, looks, better tibs, lol 😉👍,,,nice to see ya, doing a review, too,,,,in far away lands, lol 😅, they are also called rgt pro, & apparently you can do something with gear pin, so you can have rear 2wd,or something like, rgt pro comes with back tyre rack, which swing,s open , love the lights,,,,but still not sure about erm,🤔🙄🤔,,for £20 30 ish,more you can get a ftx tracker 😉👍

I know you can get the Tracker for a decent price now, but i have had a TRX4 for many years so the Tracker is not really anything new for me else i would have had one by now, and i also still have the TRTX4 Hi Trail in my collection, but i agree the Tracker for the price you can now get them for is a bargain. But this Centaur reminds me more of an Axial SCX10, and this is something i have never had, so that was another deciding factor. I was actually waiting for the FMS FCX10. I had put my name down on one at the model shop i mention, but the release date in UK went from 5th April to 12th May and I couldn’t be bothered waiting that long so that was another factor in buying this truck.
We are going out Tuesday and Wednesday this week, so i will do a couple of first runs with it as total stock, and then change the wheels and tyres and see the difference

Nice overview of the Centaur. Looking to pick one up. Not sure if I missed it but what length are the shocks please
I just measured them and from bolt to bolt they are 90mm
@@tiborvon hi fella. That's great . Very kind of you. I have a set of 90mm Traxxas gts shocks so it will be interesting to see if they make a difference after I have bought the Centaur
