    I make jewellery professionally, and I have sausage fingers, so I have many thoughts on one-size-fits-all jewellery. Although these rings are, in theory, adjustable, that means maybe a few sizes here and there, depending on the material, but they shouldn't be bent quite as violently as this. Bending any metal will eventually lead to breaking. Also, since these were very cheap, there is a big chance they are plated with something to make them look better, and bending the ring might lead to the plating cracking, and whatever is underneath showing up.
    I haven't looked into the fidget rings much, but if there is a manufacturer who makes them in titanium, I'd say that it might be worth trying out, but you should definitely try to measure your ring size. Titanium is hypoallergenic and durable enough for something as mechanical as these. Stainless steel is also durable, but it can cause irritation if you have nickel allergy. Just because you are allergic to one type of metal, doesn't mean you're allergic to all of the.

      @Leena79 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@bryangallows657 Tungsten in itself is pretty much allergen-free, but if it's an alloy, there is a chance it might cause irritation. I'm not personally familiar with tungsten jewellery, however.
      Something that does apply on all jewellery is that if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. I googled for titanium fidget rings yesterday, and found a site selling them for around $200. The rings had very similar styles to the ones Jackie tried, and she paid $25 for six. Just for perspective.

  • @WatermelonCatermelon
    @WatermelonCatermelon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +259

    For anyone that might want to buy one of these, the one size fits all is meant to be just slightly, gently bent until it fits. Otherwise it will probably break, especially if you try to adjust it more than once or put a large sharp bend 😅

    • @Gwenx
      @Gwenx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    i like bulk rings from amazon. i usually paint the inside with clear nail polish to stop or help deter the metal from turning green and turning my skin green. so far i've only had to do one painting session for rings i've worn for 6-9 months. usually, when it comes to rings the less you have sticking out a ring body the comfier it is when you wear it all day against adjacent fingers. seam on beads is a better description.

If you can find something like that I think you might find it highly satisfying and very pretty to look at. Additionally, in the concept of fidget rings, try looking into puzzle rings - those things are AWESOME!

    I have one of those rings that’s just a bunch of interconnected rings. Mine has 7 as opposed to 3 like the first one shown. The reason it isn’t sliding right is because one of the rings is facing opposite. Unfortunately, your "sausage fingers" were working against you for that first ring. You need to have it on a properly fitting finger, for best movement and such. I've had one, long since lost it, and loved the thing.
    If it's not forced on, it moves a lot nicer, with far far less irritation to the skin. It never gave me problems, and I have ridiculously sensitive skin.
    You should try again, but with a ring that properly fits isntead. Might have a different opinion at that point.

      I also have one of these rings (mine has 7 instead of 3 rings) and I love it. It looked to me that one of the rings was facing opposite when she put it on. They should all sit flat against each other when on (the band should look like a spiral) and I could see in the video that she had one that was crossed over. It makes it so that the ring fits tighter and doesn’t move as well. It’s easier to tell on one that has more interconnected rings

    I need a craft kit review preferably with Sika but also I want to support whatever content is working for Jackie at the time. I’m truly impressed by the way her channel always evolves. Edit: I thought I was a delicate little flower when it came to minor pains but you’ve outdone me. All of us butch but sensitive girls need to stick together 😂. I’m sorry you got scratched tho 🥺❤️

    • @ThatOneLadyOverHere

      True, normally sensitive skin is fine with higher quality metals.

      My grandmother was like this, she could only use 24k gold or silver. When I was younger I thought she was making it up so we wouldn't gift her cheap jewelry. Then I started using jewelry and getting bad rashes and green rings where the metal touched my skin and I finally realized it was an actual allergy. 😳

    • @triforce_majora
      @triforce_majora 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@raqui9772 it's most often due to nickel, which unfortunately is in a lot of common jewelry metals (including surgical stainless steel which is common in piercing jewelry). More expensive, higher quality metals avoid this, which is why gold, silver, platinum, and titanium are the best options for nickel allergies.

    • @raqui9772
      @raqui9772 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Gina Marie Thanks, it's probably that. Shortly after figuring out it was an allergy, I tried things from the nickel free area of Claire's and had little to no reactions. Unfortunately, I also fidget with any and all accessories I wear and lose jewelry shortly after purchasing. So I just don't bother anymore. 🤷‍♀️

    I used to have one of these way back in the ancient times before 'fidget' everything were readily available. I got mine at a vendor booth at the fair, which for a while was the only place for alt-y teenagers to get unique accessories. XD It had a design on it initially but it of course rubbed off very quickly from constantly spinning the ring. I also got a spinner belt buckle and a dragon necklace, because it was the early/mid-2000s and I was SUPER cool.

    Hey Jackie! Love the video. I think for the rings with the ball bearing/beads I think the beads are supposed to be rolled instead of slid up and down the shaft of the ring if that makes sense. That way they’re not as scratchy or pinchy :)

    The triple ring works if its rings are set right on your finger & it will move nice & smooth I know this bc I had 1 in the 90s & used to play with it all the time when i was waiting or felt nervous so If you put it on with the rings in order its actually makes for a pretty good fidget toy

  • @beverly4236-

    I have one of the first rings (three rings wrapped in one) and I LOVE it. Didn’t realize it was considered a fidget ring but when I wear it I am ALWAYS fidgeting with it. Usually I take it off my finger to fidget. There’s a way you can organize the rings to where they are all three flat and I can wear two rings on two fingers side by side (is this making sense?) I suggest you give it another try because it’s a lot like the gadget/gear fidget ring you like :)

    I actually have that ZZ Zinfandel ring (1:53) and it's a really nice fidget toy for someone who needs to remain discreet. I have all the possible variations I could find and I have to say - I love it. It's quiet, discreet, and it's a piece of jewelry so I don't have to get other toy or anything. I usually put it on my index finger (not the ring finger like Jackie) and spin the chain with my thumb.

    You should make wedding rings out of resin with Pat since you two can't wear metal! I know you said you guys don't really care about having rings, but it would still be cute even if you don't wear it all the time. Maybe you could make each other's ring and base the design on the other person's interests and then surprise each other with the finished result at the end. That would be a really cute video!! Or it could be something fun to do off youtube as a date night.
