Just watching your favorite liver's stream is a great way to support them. However, if you have the leeway to do so superchatting or becoming a member allows you to directly support them financially and help them maintain their lifestyle as a streamer.

This was clipped from Hoshikawa's birthday stream last month, where she talked about a lot of topics including her debut, goals, and thoughts on Matsuri. With the exception of a few clips, I've mostly picked goofy moments of her teasing others or having dumb fun up until now. So this is the first time where I subbed something that I really felt like it "mattered" or that was genuinely serious. My goal through making this translation is to help others understand a side of her that she doesn't talk about or show often as well as the true appreciation she has for her fans. I wanted to share more of this side of her in the past, however I never felt like I was good enough to do so properly. While it may be arrogant to think so, I decided that I was able to do so now. If despite my best efforts there are any errors, please do say so. As a last note, the song she was reacting to was a fan made MV for the vocaloid song Stardust Orchestra. I'll have a link in the description for this, and anyone curious can find the lyrics easily accessible through a Google search.
I might not be qualified to say it, since i'm just a person who loves watching Vtuber clips, but I think you did a great job on this. ^^ This was definitely a great moment to pick out; I think it really does give people an impression of not only how bumpy Hoshikawa's journey has been but also how grateful she is to be where she is now. At 1:18 you translated Hoshikawa imagining if she were to be in hololive with matsuri. This is just wrong. You can't make wrong translation like this it would make people that don't speak japanese at all to get the wrong idea. Translators have a responsibility to not make translation that will not make people get the wrong idea. She only said if they were in the same company, never mentioned hololive or any other specific company.

However, wanting to be in the same company as Matsuri for me was the same as saying Hololive. Which is why I translated it that specific way. I'm not sure what implications doing it this way created for you or anyone else. And I very much agree that translation is a very large responsibility so as to not create baseless rumors or false information. Especially with the topics presented in this video. But in this case, I would like to respectfully stick by the way I translated it as I think it's appropriate in the context it's in and is implicitly implied. Thank you for translating this ;__; You did a fabulous job. Many of the eng sub clips on YT are of Vtubers doing dumb fun, and while laughs are always appreciated, that's only one side of the person. I really appreciate it when there are translations of the more serious side of things, like when they share their worries and especially when it's bad enough to make them cry on stream. I don't know if maybe it's because those tend to be more word-heavy... but anyways! Thank you for your efforts!
Had she not gone Nijisanji she would not have had all this time with Kanae. She blows up and rages but you can tell it's done with a smile from the bottom of her heart. She's in the right place and I'm happy she found home and stays the one she is; a hilariously cute and lovable little brat!
Oh boy. Starting up from Hololive and knowing Sara from Matsuri, I'm truly glad Sara's this happy now in Nijisanji. And more so that she's truly glad befriend and being close with Matsuri. Personally I kinda understand how it feels not having close friend.
And that sentence where she "regrets" not having Matsuri in the same company as her... oof it truly hurts a bit. But I hope they still able to smile together, not as the shipping and all, but as best friends at least.
I'm glad Matsuri is there, she really seems like a bright light in Hoshikawa's life. Even if they aren't in the same company, I'm sure they can still be the best of friends. And who knows, maybe one day she can fulfill her dream of standing on stage with her.
That ending really hit me man, thanks for translating this, since we usually only see the fun and dumb stuff they do, it's always a nice change of pace to see the important parts of Vtubers like this.

Thank you! Translating things like this is very delicate to do. Even after spending days thinking about word choice I still feel maybe I was overconfident or arrogant in my ability to do this. But I wanted to show a part of her that I think defines part of who she is, and made me love her as a individual.
As for 1:35 , she knows what her audience wants.
What happened to her at the begining reminds me a lot of certain recent events... glad that Sara was strong and see her nowadays, I'm proud of her, not all stories have happy ending sadly...
I still remember her having only 25k subs and doing morning streams every day... how time moves.
I've always paid more attention to Sara's chill side than her bratty one, so maybe my perspective was skewed from the start, but I never saw her as rude. She teases people a bit more bluntly than most, but she never has any ill will. It's kind of a shame that Matsuri who was clearly a big pillar for her also gave her another bit of drama that neither of them wanted. Matsuri loves Sara so much that she willingly took some distance to normalize their relationship again. All she wants is for Sara to be happy and all Sara wants is to have fun with Matsuri. I'm proud of how tastefully they handled it. Hopefully they can collab a bit more again in the future. Their last Apex collab was fairly back to how things used to be.
Anyway, she has huge support now and those drama days are behind her. I hope she can make more and more close friends so she wont ever feel lonely again.
Her morning streams really were a great way to see the more relaxed side to her. It's sad she doesn't do them anymore, but now she's always just so busy that it's probably better she stopped a while back. One of the reasons I came to love her was due to the stream she mentioned where she cried for the first time. I don't think anyone who was able to see that side of her talking about how she was grateful for all her fans and supportive seniors could ever think she felt any ill will. I'm glad she was able to find someone she thought she could truly call a friend in Matsuri. And, while they haven't collabed in a bit, I'm sure they'll be able to have tons of fun together in the future! Along with all the supportive fans and seniors of hers that understand her for who she is.
I saw her wiki page and it saids that she actually considered auditiong for Akai Haato in Hololive but looks like she didn't get it. So after watching this it just made me cry. Even though Hoshikawa and Matsuri isn't on the same company it's still pretty nice on how they collab. Also Hoshikawa made tons of friends in Nijisanji too like Orihime-boshi. I can't wait for Orihime-boshi 3D live together and also with Matsuri!🌟
But in front of Matsuri she always act like she doesn't like her that much, Hoshikawa is such a _tsundere_ xD

As for the superchats at the end, some of those were actual superchats. The other one's were comments from people that I pulled from chat. But they're all things her fans told her in the end.

8:04 that part made me cry a lot. For someone to say such thing it really had to get her low. She probably felt alone for a long time, but its funny how mitsuri being aparently the weirdest of hololive gave her support. i kinda feel like mitsuri also suffered/suffers in silence, no one is as kind as her without passing some things
Now that she has her 3D I wouldn’t be surprised if she shows up the next time Matsuri has a 3D live

I found her kinda annoying at first but I feel like she's matured a lot. For example her interactions with Haato then and now.
It helped that she started getting paired with people who weren't afraid to put her in her place when she started getting bratty, like Kanae and Kanda.
