Let's face it, if you came here after hearing it on NPR or live, it's cause you wanted to hear Chris's insane mandolin solo. The way in which unique musicians inspire one another on the spot is always one of the greatest gifts to music.

Universes have collided here. Just need Julian Lage in there to complete the triforce.

I love the way the horns & guitars echo the themes - after the mandolin break. Chris needs a pedal board to hang with this lot! :)

With a name like Snarky Puppy, I expected something out of the ordinary. This is definitely that!

Randomly turned on NPR and heard the end of this performance... thinking the whole time "Holy shit, who the hell *is* this? And what is it doing on NPR?" Then Chris mentioned Snarky Puppy and I was like "No wonder that was straight fire, then."

Jazz mandolin solo starting at 3:40 - guess I must search youtube before I make a comment along the lines of ONLY recorded jazz mandolin solo on the interwebs

It's cool to see someone on Chris' level losing their shit over great music.

He's freaking amazing and he has collaborated with nearly all of my favorite musicians. I love how he just shows up here, does his thing, manages to somehow out-stankface Mike League, and then he just walks off like a champ when he's done.

If you like this go watch Hamilton De Holanda’s bandolin solo on Lingus. Equally as stunning.

When is Michael League going to get MacArthur grant? Long overdue, I'd say.
