Very nice to see a young couple have appreciation and take care for an old home. It becomes more apparent to me that most want instant gratification. Glad to see some have the "elbow grease" to make dreams come true:)
I really enjoyed seeing this video of the beautiful french farmhouse. It is so charming. I have also enjoyed seeing the videos of the chateaus that people buy to renovate. I love the french country side.
This house is an absolute treasure! What a view, what bones in the building. I had to chuckle see the shot when you were standing on the steps outside of the house. The steps are literally crooked. Oh well, that is what shows the charm and age. I love how they kept the brick in their bedroom. I am sure it is very tempting to put insulation in and cover that up for warmth. However, look what would be lost. Thank you for sharing.
I loved watching this, what a lovely way to escape my stressful life in the suburbs! The French countryside is so beautiful and your friends home is so charming. Please visit more neighbors and share their lives if you can.
I loved seeing the French countryside and this amazing farm house. The windows are stunning. This is as close as I’ll ever get to actually visiting France, so thank you for this awesome video. The views are simply breathtaking. 💕☀️🍇
I absolutely love this farmhouse, the land and have recently found your French Country Life channel so delightful! TY for sharing! Bravo! ~ From Arizona 🌴🌴💛🌵
There are so many chateaux/French vlogs now. I love yours, it’s easy and relaxing to watch. No pretentious characters or design ideas. And, you are so relatable. Adorable house. Thank you for the tour.
I love the charming french farmhouse and also the countryside around it, very calming and the barn looks so fascinating. I wanted a peak inside. Good luck, thank you so much for sharing. Mary Ann Recht, Chicago.
The kitchen cooking area looks great and the original decorative floor tile is beautiful, but other than that the decor looks bland and depressing to me. The charm and character isn’t there.
@@TheSwissChalet That's because it is a dark farmhouse and that is exactly why they painted the walls and beams white. This is what this Australian male will be doing next year ! I will be leaving Australia,I was born here 55 yrs ago and after pondering for over 5 yrs wondering where the heck is my life going? I have 2 kids, 22 and 20 yrs young very independent always on the computer, rarely seeing them or even having a chat. This is the modern child, very sad :( My soon to be ex wife was content to work come home quick walk and then make a nest for herself, take her brain out and watch mindless reality TV e.g The Bachelor. I was a Male Nurse for 28 yrs and now for the last 10 yrs I restore Mid century ,tired worn Chesterfield and leather furniture, then sell them on. So over the last 5 yrs, I kept saying to myself "I do not want to die in the suburbs!" I want out of this very expensive big Island ! I said to the wife, I am going to live OS if you want to come along, come Same to the kids but they have their mates,Uni and their own lives. The wife said she wants to stay as she has family , clicking snobby friends and her job. No protest from her for me to stay which is good which means no break up issues. I do all the cooking, cleaning, maintenance, washing, gardening ,shopping, renovations see I'm a typical Virgo :))) Boy is she in for a shock when I am drinking French wine next year and she has to defend for herself. No animosity between us just grew apart, we had fun but why waste what I have left and after doing Nursing looking after 1000s of patients then coming home to look after 3 more people it was time for me to be selfish! Time to cut the security chord! Originally I was going to move to Wyoming but the political world there,in my opinion is ready to explode if the democrats still the 2024 election again! Stumbled across France one night on Goggle and was blown away but the prices ,the villages, the history , the food and the country lifestyle :) So my mate (dog) and I will be buying a small old farmhouse/inner village house that's in good condition and then putting my touch on it . Fill it with French and Mid century furniture and art. My fav youtube show " French Country Life " makes me feel I am in her lovely home and wandering around France with her family and here I am sitting in Australia with a big grin on my face, just thinking about the future in France and dying in the beautiful countryside and not the Burbs :))))

Les poutres brunes sont oppressantes en rez-de-chaussée et obscurcissent inutilement les pièces. Pourquoi rester esclaves d’une époque révolue quand on peut apporter charme et lumière à un lieu si beau en les peignant en blanc ?
I have a two hundred year old traditional French farmhouse, untouched and undecorated. Originally the pigs and cows were housed in the same house separated by a wall. We wouldn't want to do that now. You can't live in the past and so you decorate your home in the style of the era you live in.
