And once you grow up and have the money to travel to Canada or USA to watche them live, Neil passes away... This absolutely breaks my heart... But I'm sure if there's a heaven, it is a Rush concert. And I'm happy that Neil is with his family :,) Lots of love to Rush fans. And for the ones who watched them live, you don't know how lucky you are...

It’s weird, I was just thinking about that subject. It must be really cool and humbling in a way to be with a friend for so incredibly long and knows you better than anyone on earth. These guys, especially Geddy and Alex as we all know, have been BFFs since they were school kids, so it must be very grounding when the whole world has been telling you that you’re the best thing since sliced bread, but you have that partner right there that can easily remind you that “hey, I knew you when you were a pimple faced kid that didn’t think he’d ever get a girlfriend, so stow that I’m a golden god thing.” I can imagine that must’ve played a part in why these guys have remained so down to earth, when they really didn’t need to.
The use of the Austin Powers clip has to be one of the best gimmicks I've ever seen. The timing is spot on and had me rolling on the floor. Rush has blessed us time and time again.

Finding My Way, Working Man and In The Mood. they were a big part of my life for 50 years and i was devastated when neil passed away. i let the chance to see their last tour slip right by and i will regret it forever.
Rush are a lot like cartoons. When we were children, a lot of what happened in The Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, Yogi Bear, etc. went over our heads. And as we got older, everything made perfect sense and was indicative of the times.
The looks given at 5:18 by Geddy and Alex and the smile by Neil at 5:38ish..signifies not only "hey we still have it", but 'we are next fucking level and know it"

I hope this is never removed from TH-cam. I watch it over and over and over. So many great moments, and I will never get tired of the precious smile from Neil Peart toward the end. I will never take for granted the opportunity to see artists I love in concert ever again.
The complexity of this song makes it very difficult to play live, and they nailed it. Listening to the studio version, you forget how all of that sound comes from 3 people. I was very blessed to see them live in 2012, that was the first show that felt like more than just a band playing, it felt like I was witnessing pure art, something that has to be seen to appreciate fully. They are incredible musicians.
This song always excited me to goose bumps on my skin. Very few musicians can summon an audience as quickly as Rush. At the end Alex is in the pipe at max.
I'm from Dallas and saw them in Denver where I was living at the time. This solo changed my life. This band saved my life. I wouldn't be here without them, they gave me hope and I'll always be thankful
There will never ever be an equal the collective talent of this band. The odds of three gifted musicians with this much talent and genuine chemistry finding each other again is absolutely astronomical.
I have seen Rush just twice Power Windows and Grace under Pressure, but this 2015 R40 tour is awesome and they are coming to Portland in a week! Yeah!. They just get better with age. Absolutely amazing live band.

The secret of success for Rush is a combination of three factors: 1) Neil Peart`s drumming-he`s a beast!, 2) Alex Lifeson`s guitar riffs, 3) Geddy Lee`s vocals combined with his bass and keyboards playing.
No, the secret is that they are all good friends, they have a mutual bond of respect for each other. No matter HOW GOOD of a player you are, those factors keep a band together for the long haul, or they fizzle out. They do ALL play awesome tho, like you said, lol.
I have been lucky enough to have seen them live 6 times. Last time in Madison Square Garden. Just put it the video on the big screen with surround sound and you are there.
