    Excellent! I use Warne Maxima rings which is very similar with a Tikka T3X...the Warne Maxima ring has the recoil pin that fits in the recoil hole in the receiver. No bases or rail required which saves weight and cost.

    Great video. It certainly covers the right way to do things. What cartridge is that Finnlight in?

    2:12 If u move the front ring up to the right to change ur point of impact, but the back ring always stays straight aren't u bending ur scope tube ?

    Could you please inform me if the tube diameter is 30mm or 1", does it work for a Sako Finnbear the luxe .270, also could you tell me the type of screwdriver that you use in the video. Thanks a lot, great video

      This was a 30mm tube. Don't see why it wouldn't work the same on the Finnbear. The screwdriver is made by Caldwell.

    Hi, Thanks for the great video. It looks like you are using a Wheeler Fat Wrench, but all of the ones I see online only go up to 65 inch-pounds. Did they used to make a stronger one to get up to 80 inch-pounds, or have I incorrectly identified your torque driver? If so, what kind are you using? Cheers

      You are correct about the Fat Wrench...we torque it to max then give a slight bit more.

    hi, where did you get the base torque setting of 80 inch pounds from? that is almost twice what i have read elsewhere

      It's what Sako recommends.

      @ Outdoor Quest TV - 80 inch lbs is the torque for the base on the two piece mounts, not the ringmounts. From Beretta USA for the ringmounts - Optilock ring screws: 15/17 inch lbs - Optilock bases screws: 45 inch lbs. www.eurooptic.com/PDF/Optilock-Tighting-Instructions.pdf

    Did that adjustable cheek piece come with the rifle or is it an aftermarket stock?

    I just mounted the same rings on a AV action. The action is so long that I needed to mount the front ring on the rear of the tapered dovetail which means the dovetails are not fully engaging, just the tighten screw is holding it. Is this ok or should the dovetail be fully seated (tight) on both sides?

      Sounds like you need extended bases. I wouldn't trust the way you have it mounted.

    What hight rings would you use for a nightforce nxs 2.5-10 42mm

      @outdoorquesttv9946  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The One-piece only come in one height.....it's about equal to a low two piece.

    I always use the same bubble. Using different ones can give you a scope off level.

    • @outdoorquesttv9946
      @outdoorquesttv9946  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never experienced that. Levels are pretty simple devices by design but can't argue that it wouldn't work!
