I’ve noticed a lot of theorizing that there will be a surprise Anderson Cooper build on Christmas, which I initially thought was ridiculous. However, I then noticed that Mason started the running joke on New Year’s Eve of last year, and because this was a leap year, that makes Christmas precisely 360 days later. What is the name of Anderson Cooper’s show again? Does this lend any credibility to the theory? Probably not, but it’s a cool coincidence.

The real goal for anybody that actually wants to see this, rather than just memes, should be to try to interest Anderson Cooper in doing some sort of collab or cameo.

I'm honestly really glad you went the healing route with this one, though I initially expected Cleric, rather than Druid. Completely understand why you went that route, though. See, I was primarily thinking of her role in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, where she acted as the party healer, having the only AoE heal ability in the game (Group Hug), which not only healed the entire party, but also removed any statuses they happened to have. I was pleasantly surprised with this build, though! Always loved Peach as a character, and she could be a real force to be reckoned with on this build!
Being the Fire Lord is good and all, but not much compared to a loving uncle who is the leader of the greatest boomer organization of his generation. Uncle Iroh build please.

Princess peach is not only royalty but also a diplomat to the other various kingdoms! So getting kidnapped by a giant dragon/turtle/man thing would be big news. And you know who would be the perfect person to break that news? Anderson Cooper! A build for him would be amazing!
I once played a character who was a Kensai monk with the improvised weapon feat which meant I was playing an Ex-house wife with a mean streak who hit people with frying pans, brooms, and so much more the best part is the DM let me count all of those improvised weapons as monk weapons then eventually he let me count them as Kensai weapons which made for some really funny combat encounters.
@@NobodyDungeons That's actually...shockingly close to the Landlady from Kung-Fu Hustle. And sounds pretty awesome. I actually have a Kensei/Barbarian with Improvised Weapons as his Kensei weapons, as well; I mean, they are something you can get proficiency in, so why not?

Difference was I used two levels of fighter and 18 of wizard, for action surge. Could also work well going three in fighter for some of the new battle master maneuvers, but you’d miss out on LV 18 wizard I also thought of a build for Tanya, but am not very satisfied with it. I had it as Warlock artificer, for warlock either going celestial or GOO, and for artificer going artillerist. A simple Byleth Build as an aasimar fighter battle master and divine soul sorcerer

I made a similar build long ago except I made her a pure spore druid with shalielage for her melee and turned her into an Protector Aasimar for that, 'Star power'. Mostly built her with buffs until we get to those moon/sun beams and sun burst to represent the Paper Mario's Peach abilities. I made her a build cause I was super inspired by you. Keep up the good work. Edit: also wizards changed the spore druid's poison damaged to Necrotic when Tasha's was made :)
Episode #223 of the Fire Emblem stats: Princess Peach Toadstool. Or just Peach if you're a zoomer like me. Peach is good at a lot of things: brawling, authority, faith, flight, and axes (which her frying pan, golf club, and tennis racket are the closest to). Her only weakness is heavy armor because she has to look like a dainty proper lady at all times. Compared to Mario, Peach is slower and weaker in terms of attack but has higher magic and charm.

I don't know if this was on purpose or by accident, but this build also fairly neatly encapsulates most of her abilities from Mario RPG, and even a couple from Super Princess Peach as well. It's not one-to-one, but since the Druid list is pretty comprehensive, you could probably get very close with a few tweaks.

Super Show, so I personally would have built Peach as an Artificer/Druid since she was probably the smartest of the cast (though between Mario, Luigi, Toad, King Toadstool, and Bowser, that's really not saying much, and she _was_ kind of naive or airheaded at times) and the majority of her abilities and techniques were item-based. 5:35 - Her father, King Toadstool, appeared in the Super Mario Bros. instruction manual, as well as being a fairly prominent character in the old Nintendo System comics. I think he also appeared in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show though I don't remember how often. In both cases, he's kind of like the sultan from Disney's Aladdin, so the Chancellor usually needs to do the actual work running the kingdom. I'm pretty sure her mother was mentioned somewhere, as I recall it being specifically mentioned that she was a human and not a mushroom person. And I'm sure none of that is canon anymore anyway, like how the Bros are full Italian now instead of second or third generation Italian-Americans from Brooklyn. 8:12 - I don't know about the more recent games, but Mario 3 had the Frog Suit.
I'm getting really hyped for the Goku build next week I just hope good ol' Tulok can figure out a fun way to make the most overpowered anime character good in D&D. I have faith in the man!!!!
I simp for Peach, I also simp for half-orcs. This is a match made in heaven. Pros: boost to strength and con, bigger crits, relentless endurance to float back to stage after a hit that should have wiped you, and a well deserved intimidation. Plus half-orcs are hot. Cons: You lose the feat for ability scores you don't really need Verdict: half-orcs are hot, play a half-orc Peach. Please, for me

I'd bet it isn't Tulok himself marking them but TH-cam automatically doing it. Sidenote: that algorithm is terrible, it's marked at least one Camp Camp video as for kids, which, if you know anything about that show...

Honestly, I was only half paying attention as vid played in the background. Was there vehicle proficiency? Gotta put together the party for some Mario Kart action. I did catch the booty bump reference, so glad that made it in there.
It's not, at least not closely. Raccoon Dogs are so named because they have a similar colour pattern, with stripped tails and a "mask" over the eyes, but are closer to being dogs than raccoons. They aren't dogs either though, they fall in to one of those weird left-over evolutionary groups. They are canidae, without being canine (wolf,dog,fox, etc). They are to dogs as a hyena is to a cat.
I suspect that Peach is still called a princess rather than a queen because she's not married and the Mushroom Kingdom is really old fashioned about that. Or something. Unless Toadswoth is her dad.

I would argue she's Half-elf what with her being taller than most people and prettier than most! Even high elf makes sense, she's literally royalty. (I realise not all high elves are royal, but....)
I can agree with the Logic Behind Half-Elf. But not so Much with High Elf, she Lives in a World Adjacent-ish to Hyrule, and they've got the Market cornered on Elves!
So, when Tulok mentioned the Conjure Woodland Animals spell, I went and looked up what creatures in the game can be conjured by the spell. Blink dogs struck me as the most in-character option here. They're CR 1/4, so you can summon eight of them, and it can easily be justified because dogs canonically exist in the Mushroom Kingdom. It's just that most people call the dogs in question Chain Chomps. (If you weren't aware, Chain Chomps were inspired by a game designer's encounter with an angry guard dog, and they've consistently been depicted as doglike throughout their appearances. They're literally meant to be dogs, even though they don't look very doglike at first glance.) Now, in D&D, blink dogs are exactly like dogs except for three things: 1) they're fey instead of beasts 2) they're sapient and 3) most importantly, they can f*cking teleport. Imagine Princess Peach with a pack of teleporting Chain Chomps. (Blink Chomps?) Terrifying.
I love this build, but I am a little disappointed that we aren't building the "Vibe Scepter" version of Peach from Super Princess Peach. A crowd control build would be sick and also, Vibe Scepter ris really fun to say. And in no way implies anything but controlling what vibe Peach is giving off at any given time.
I love this! Also please do a Mario cast vs Lv 40 Super Bowser fight sometime in the future 💕 (Or just recreate a 7 Stars style battle with Smithy? I dunno. I just wanna be supportive!)
Surprised this didn't lean more towards Cleric due to her SMRPG appearance, but Circle of Spores Druid works too. Also, question for Tulok or anyone reading: We have a Pact of the Blade for Warlocks for weapons, but is there a Pact that's armor related? I have...an idea after watching a few of these vids, but the best I could find was a homebrew idea from four years ago on the Giant in the Playground forum.
Honestly, using the UA dragon monk to make a build based on this would be pretty cool. A princess who got kidnapped by a dragon too many times, so she learned to fight by studying the techniques of her captor
Watching this kind of makes me want to play Smash Bros. Terrorizing people with Peach is fun! If the stage is big enough, I even get to taunt them!! :D The omly thing that would make my rule perfect is the mighty fan... Oh well. Guess I’ll use the poison flower. :T (I am item trash.)
question. could you use the "poisoner" feat to make that spore poison damage not be resisted? i always wondered if that feat was the key to make spore druids more viable into later levels with their poison damage

Warforged, soldier background, Oath of the Watchers paladin? Find Greater Steed lets you choose a rhino, which is like a truck in many ways.

Pros: boost to strength and con, bigger crits, relentless endurance to float back to stage after a hit that should have wiped you, and a well deserved intimidation. Plus half-orcs are hot.
Cons: You lose the feat for ability scores you don't really need

The Tanuki is an animal in Japan, the English name for it is Raccoon Dog, so I'm guessing a Tanuki is a cousin of the raccoon.
It's not, at least not closely. Raccoon Dogs are so named because they have a similar colour pattern, with stripped tails and a "mask" over the eyes, but are closer to being dogs than raccoons. They aren't dogs either though, they fall in to one of those weird left-over evolutionary groups. They are canidae, without being canine (wolf,dog,fox, etc). They are to dogs as a hyena is to a cat.
You know who is also a blonde leader with a lot of surprising depth? Tanya Degurechaff from Youjo Senki/Saga of Tanya the Evil.

So, when Tulok mentioned the Conjure Woodland Animals spell, I went and looked up what creatures in the game can be conjured by the spell.
Blink dogs struck me as the most in-character option here. They're CR 1/4, so you can summon eight of them, and it can easily be justified because dogs canonically exist in the Mushroom Kingdom. It's just that most people call the dogs in question Chain Chomps. (If you weren't aware, Chain Chomps were inspired by a game designer's encounter with an angry guard dog, and they've consistently been depicted as doglike throughout their appearances. They're literally meant to be dogs, even though they don't look very doglike at first glance.)
Now, in D&D, blink dogs are exactly like dogs except for three things: 1) they're fey instead of beasts 2) they're sapient and 3) most importantly, they can f*cking teleport. Imagine Princess Peach with a pack of teleporting Chain Chomps. (Blink Chomps?)
Terrifying.

I love this build, but I am a little disappointed that we aren't building the "Vibe Scepter" version of Peach from Super Princess Peach. A crowd control build would be sick and also, Vibe Scepter ris really fun to say. And in no way implies anything but controlling what vibe Peach is giving off at any given time.

Honestly, using the UA dragon monk to make a build based on this would be pretty cool. A princess who got kidnapped by a dragon too many times, so she learned to fight by studying the techniques of her captor
