You can indeed destroy buildings.
You have to go into the building menu, select something, hold right mouse button, aim at the thing you want to destroy, left click to destroy it.
Yeah, deconstruction is not intuitive. Usually you eventually notice the menu items on the right while constructing something but if you actually look for a deconstruction option you'll never find it.
I thought it was just right click.
Can't wait to see your playthru! I don't think you need foundations around the island for the sailing stuff.
No you're right the sails etc work as intended on the ground 🏞. It would look like a factory all framed out and not as pretty.🌷🥀🌳🌱🍃🌪

I’m glad you picked an island with water. You need water to water crops so it’s frustrating watching TH-camrs pick islands that don’t have water sources.
It's so cool someone else discovered this great game! Been playing the demo for quite a while and I gotta say considering it's still the pre-alpha demo (or so they say) there's already a LOT of stuff to do. They just added animals (cute, cuddly, fluffy goats and sheep and stuff) and avatar customization last Friday. This game's got more stuff in the demo than some games I've played had in early access. And I've yet to encounter a bug.
Great game that just keeps getting better and better then more heart the devs put into it -and it's already got a lot of that in spades! Thanks for covering Aloft!

This is a fun game to play. Content is limited though. Needs a good gameplay/progression designer. Still, it's just a demo.
To find new blueprints, follow the glows in the darkness - only islands with blueprint stones glow.

It's funny u talked about world adrift. I went to check it out and i found out the devs of that game are making a sequel for that game releasing in 2024 called "Lost Skies"

why is the grass clipping through the foundation though? couldnt they have done this correctly when they implemented the tile? this is something that ive seen in a lot of survival games, and it always turns me off.
often times you dont have foundations adapt to hight differences of the ground well, and then there is often times stuff clipping through it.

Looks like the windmill has a realistic energy loss, or the longer the belt the more energy from the windmill is lost since it’s got more belt to compensate for, er I think? Lol, cool game tho
Corn provides no nutritional value unless processed so it makes sense games don't use corn in fact I believe it shouldn't be used at all as food. Sails are researched not found last I remember.
Can you place a log stockpile on one side of the sawmill and a plank stockpile on the other side and have it pull from one and fill the other while powered by the windmill?

@Drecalen it's made by bossa so I'm reluctant but I will still check it out. I have more faith in the fans that have been working on recreating the original.

In fact they founded bossa studios in order to MAKE worlds adrift.
It is their dream child and they never gave up on it.
Like ghostshipgames and deep rock galactic, or re-logic and terraria.
I mean, how often do you hear of a studio bringing back a game that once failed?
@@librariantopokemon yeah I know bossa made WA and that's why I'm reluctant. This is the game WA was suppose to be minus the mmo experience, which made the game really great imo, with better graphics. Don't get me wrong I will play this game in hopes that it will fill the void left by WA but without strangers to meet I just don't think the magic will be there.
@@librariantopokemon I tried getting my friends into WA but didn't have success. So I played solo and it was fun to roleplay my way through the skies and storms. Trying to get to know the islands so I could tell people where things were like the knowledge and loot was so much fun and all I would do is ask for food or upgrades traveling on a simple dinghy or someone's ship if it was a wall I wanted through.

I can't understand how you can play for so long with a pulsating exclamation point right in front of you and not do anything about it?!?!?!? Not sure what hitting 'B' (the letter next to the giant exclamation point) will do but it looks like a repair button. Sorry but its totally triggering my OCD to have that thing constantly flashing. :)
IF you really liked Worlds Adrift, you should check out the game they making thats called Lost Skies, which is the idea of Worlds Adrift, but in PvE instead of PvPvE.
Also technicaly the reason why Worlds Adrift didnt sit well, was because it was more faved for its PvP aspect then its exploreation.
And also because they could not keep the game up, because they ran out of funds for it to stay alive.

@@nateanderson7249 does it now. Since the game died about 2-3 years ago, how can you be sure, when they had couple of years to improve on funding and software.
I'd say that we should see if they fail or not, instead of going on with old rumours
